Fashion is just art. You would have to understand it to like it. Just like looking at paintings in a museum. Some people would just say it's a canvas. While others would see it deeper. This is just my take, but everyone has their own opinion.
@@jayden2148 "You just have to understand it" Understand what? It's clothing. It's either aesthetically pleasing or not. If you have a thought process to why you dress the way you do, go ahead, but that doesn't change how appealing it is on an aesthetic level.
As an elder millennial, I can say that you are correct. And it wasn't just celebrities. I dressed pretty loud back in the day. I actually have clothes in the closet from years ago that are back in style now 😅
All the thrifted clothes yall find are from us millennials 🤣🤣. Every single Gen Z outfit can be traced back to millennial fashion. There’s nothing truly unique about it, nothing! The girl in pink? That’s straight out of Paris Hilton’s/ Britney 2000s wardrobe. The kid in the yellow hoodie? Every skater was wearing that exact outfit in the 2000s. The girl with stilettos, baggy jeans, and a baseball shirt? That’s a 90s Chicana look. The kid with fire patterned shoes? That’s pure 2000s emo, straight out of the Tokio Hotel era. I’ve seen those exact outfits on almost everyone growing up in Europe. Even the girl in the headscarf she’s channeling the “no global” alternative crowd from the early 2000s. I’m not hating, but at least millennials introduced new trends when we were coming up. Gen Z just seems to recycle our teenage fashion with a slight twist. It would be refreshing if they actually came up with something new rather than a copypaste of what we already did.
@swiftarmpitsweat you're in all the comments trashtalking. what a clown. you gotta be one of these people living in cartoon worlds. wrapping around everything you find in your house to look stylish and "special" :D
The Gen Z outfits aren’t too different to what Milennials were wearing 15-20 years ago. Not only do fashion trends go in cycles, but for many people as they age, they feel they should dress more conservative.
this! it’s only when you’re out of your teens that you realize: adults aren’t unaware of fashion. it’s just sustainable to have clothes that won’t be tacky in 5 years. teens are special in that they’re still growing and just got a full wardrobe refresh lol
The irony of these Gen Z folks basically swagger jacking millennial drip from 90s and 2000s (Y2K). That’s why I can’t take them seriously especially the one guy w the Jeremy Scott’s. They’ve legit recycled our whole drip yet they act like they’re original? As another comment from an actual Gen Z person said - Gen z doesn’t come off original or authentic

I think Mateo, Taina and Blue represent Gen Z the most, but where I live Blue's outfit is more for nightlife meanwhile the other two are casual outfits I see everyday
Can we talk abt how she hyped that girl up around 21:00 minutes that was sooo cuteee😩😩🥺🥺
Since when does a really bold outfit equal style? They clearly don’t wanna hurt fealings cuz some of them only have this crazy fit just to be unique… doesn’t at all make it objectively more stylish, but maybe that’s just me?
It’s not just bold it’s the effort, intention, pieces. Every person in this video had a style - particularly gen Z
@@zoramonico Some of them are really bold tho. You can look casual and still put in a lot of work and effort in your outfit
I really like those over dressed, accessorised fits and tbh i have seen these crazy unique outfits a lot well not irl. But these feel kinda normal but still different with all these types of fashion content i like. Also those fits are unique and its literally art. And it's obviously not just you, everyone has different choices. And i think those all fits are stylish but I liked what i liked. It just seems cool, i wish everyone dressed like that. And wear whatever they want to wear.

it’s Tiktok’s fault. Jared is brain dead
well its subjective
@@user-ml8go9yw6q in an actual sense fashion is less subjective, it’s about combining very base forms and ratios that most of not all humans find attractive and basic human apparel needs for society and roles. Although you are entirely correct that the term now is commonly used to refer to subjective notions about style and appearance
Fashion is just art. You would have to understand it to like it. Just like looking at paintings in a museum. Some people would just say it's a canvas. While others would see it deeper. This is just my take, but everyone has their own opinion.
@@jayden2148
"You just have to understand it"
Understand what? It's clothing. It's either aesthetically pleasing or not. If you have a thought process to why you dress the way you do, go ahead, but that doesn't change how appealing it is on an aesthetic level.
Dave seems so warm, fun, and smiley! And I love his style. Seems like a fun shopping and brunch buddy!
As a Gen Z I feel like we dress like Millennial celebs did as teens but times 100 if that makes sense lol.
I’d love to see an east coast vs west coast fashion video bc it’s so different

I didn't expect the comments would be this bad??? they don't know what fashion is, this context is about "fashion" not just "outfit"
The Gen Z outfits aren’t too different to what Milennials were wearing 15-20 years ago. Not only do fashion trends go in cycles, but for many people as they age, they feel they should dress more conservative.

I LOVED THE COMPASSION AGAINST ONE ANOTHER.
Just a heads up for everyone wondering if they should be as fashionable as some of these individuals . No, youre allowed to be comfy and look great in whatever you wear . Some of these people are literally the 1% amongst their generation with how wild they try to present themselves and in many cases they would look maybe way too much in some regions or countries. Wear what is comfy to you even if its a plain tshirt and some jeans
agreed
💯There is a time and place and person to be to pull some of this stuff off. Not everything is for everyone and that's not only fine but sometimes for the best.
As someone who enjoys fashion, I like how everyone had their own individual style and felt like everyone put a lot of effort in their styles. Seems like I liked the outfits from a fashion pov but ppl didn’t like them from the pov of the outfits are supposed to represent the generations.

The problem with this video is, most people start to dress more simple in their 30's once they finally become confident in themselves and stop resorting to crazy fashion to stand out. I myself in my 20's took a lot of risks, but I woke up one day in my 30's and found it all so superficial and a waste of time once I realized I could be focusing on actual productive activities instead of shopping. Sorry as an elder millennial or xennial, I really feel there was a lack of sophisticated yet bold fashion on our end 😭 I love sleek looks with a pop of bright colors and patterns or bold accessories, and I feel there are a lot of other millennials like this!
Totally agree! Millennials can be very bold and colorful with their fashion too. I am a millennial and I do play with colors, accessories, and my silhouette a lot too. Its just a shame to see how the Gen Zs perceive us as boring and basic, when we are the ones that created the fashion trends of today which they are inspired by and have appropriated.

@cjbowland that wasn't my point, my point is gen z really thinks they invented that style. They are just a generic version of an older style. Also the 80s and 90s style was the first of its kind.
