TAKING THE GOLDWING GL1800 TO THE CAR WASH

IN THIS VIDEO, I STOP BY THE CAR WASH TO CLAN THE BRAKE CALIPERS AND GET ALL THE BRAKE DUST OFF MY RIMS. ITS IMPORTANT TO KEEP THE BRAKE CALIPERS CLEAN. AND SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT WHEN GOING TO THE CAR WASH WITH YOUR BIKE IS YOU COULD GET SOMETING IN YOUR TIRE FROM THE BAY AREA. AND PLEASE STAY OFF THE GRATES WITH YOUR BIKE. My 2012 has never seen a car wash. Sponge and bucket, low pressure garden hose. Always worked for me. But, I don't spend much time washing it either. One or twice a year. Spray the bugs off the front end and get on down the road!

Hi Mo. You just got me thinking. This summer I went on a long road trip to Eastern Canada. The night before leaving I took my bike to a carwash for a cleaning. During my trip I had to add air to my rear tire and eventually noticed a screw which looked like it was there for days. I didn't even think about picking up the screw at the carwash. Hi mo, wow you got nearly 4K subs… I got my own pressure washer is use, im due to wash and BLOW dry my wing, once dry I’ll apply my ACF50 to protect it more.. good to c see you. Hi to mrs mo and David 👍🇬🇧

I never use a pressure washer on any bike. Home Depot shower head spray to a garden hose and also soap it with the Chemical Guys soap and foaming head. I own 6th gen Wing and always cover the switches on the bars and center console. Yes, the switches are built for rain and wetness, but why to take the chances? A switch is a switch, after all. Not worth it for me all these shorts and codes after wash.

never been to a car wash , I have power washer , I've used , I don't spray above the tank or any where near the electric , caliper yes. I also spray d40 , near motor area , and wipe down ....
great warning tip .. they don't think about m/c.
