  • I’m about to begin raising my first flock of pasture-raised poultry out of these new automated chicken tractors that I manufacture, and I am beyond excited to document and share this journey with everybody! Throughout this flock, my goal is to do a good job of documenting how everything goes from start to finish and sharing that here. If you have any questions or thoughts about this, please share them in the comment section.
Thank you all and God bless

Here I thought the coups would be moving on their own program with a motor lol.

They will be in the near future! Just not for this run.

Very impressed with how much thought has gone into these. Curious what the total cost is and what your expected ROI on a coop will be

This reminds me of a video someone posted on here a while back with a similar concept but for goats, pigs, and ducks I think. Basically they can move the big thing a little bit every so often. The goats or sheep eat the grass then when they move it forward later the pigs take whats left or something. It's been a while so don't remember exactly but similar principle. But with both of these it's good for the grass and soil because of the fertilizer left behind. Plus the animals don't have to be stuck in a large closed off plant.

Very good looking coops. I love the idea of using 6063 aluminum. I don't currently weld AL but hope to soon. And very impressed with the automation and electronics. I have ideas to make something similar for layers ... hopefully. Im currently working on building a little DC circuit to auto open and close a door in the nest box. Thanks for sharing and best luck in the farm and channel.

Really cool. Any plans to sell these? How much would the cost to build?

Thank you! Maybe in the future I will sell build plans, we’ll see. These are close to five figures in cost to build.

What is the brand of your automatic feeder?

Is the feeder setup 12v (or DC)? Which brands are worth looking at? I have never put a system together does anyone retail a complete feeding system, or do you just have to know every part to order?

It’s a 240v 1/2 HP motor and no one to my knowledge will sell that kit setup for a chicken tractor or mobile coop. Might not be a bad thing for me to make plans for in the future

Wow! I’m in the Atlanta area. Do you customize the size of the coops? I don’t something that big.
