They are Indian parker pens or desi parker . The quality is different if you will compare with a france or USA made parker pens . And in India Parker does not provides medium nibs in low budget.
As a fountain pen enthusiast, pilot is best option alternative to Parker Aster or any other in the price range of rs.1500. P.S - you can use Parker Quink with pilot pens too, since pilot ink is pretty expensive.
I write with pilot v7 refillable rollerball oens and I use Parker quink ink both black and blue for 2 years now, still same bottle of both 60rs. Each, so yeah it's really value for money.... But man original came pilot ink cartridge was another level, i still see that page written with pilot ink have rich dark color, yet quink ink fades little bit or especially blue is not that dark...

I used to write with roller ball pens in the past and i started having problems with my wrist and fingers. When i switched to fountain pens, i didn't have to put that much pressure to write, it improved my writing style and speed as well.
Quink is a decent ink, but as you mentioned note-taking students -- it must be kept in mind that quink has no water resistance... oTOH, pilot blue & black are quite water resistant...

Metro is too smooth and very fine. Frontier CT lies between M and F, gives nice experience. My go-to pen is usually Parker vector and camplin 47 - very cheap but a classic pen everyone should have. it's hard to get now. I got a whole set in 2015 in a random offline store, luckily.

Get a Platinum Preppy fountain pen if you have a budget of 350-550₹. It is butter smooth in terms of writing, it has a thick grip section so it is more comfortable in handling and it is just 15 grams! It is the best fountain pen for daily usage in this price range. Yes, it won't look as good as parker but the writing experience justifies the price.
bro trust me frontier is so bad , I first owned one then it got lost then I thought of buying some other pe but student yard said this is the best so I bought frontier again but now when I bought jingo I realised that at this price range no pen can outcompete it
obessive pen fanatic over here as a pen collector from my experiences say that the parker frontier can solo beat ANY other parker pen under 5000 rs. i liked it so so much i bought 3 of them i have a rollerball full gold,a fine fountain full gold and a fine silver w/ gold trim. these pens TBH are up to par with the pilot metropolitan ive been using for 1.5 years its still good as new .i even left the pen for 3 mo th with ink still inside it! but after 2-3 stroke the pen writes like it was wet 2 seconds ago i truly recommend this pen if you are searching for a pen thats is durable,cheap and can be smoother than gojos rizz
if i have a budget of under 1500 it will most probably be the frontier,aster but if you thinking of pens in the 3000 rs range id take the metropolitan or the lamy safari
@@ThatOneRandomUser-ym8tx got a click aristocrat with a kanwrite ebonite feed(default feed is horrible). believe me, it's running better than both the metropolitan and safari(costs 350 + 100 = 450) I like plastic lightweight pens more than metal. That's the best for me. If you want a no tinkering ready to go pen buy Vsign beena Antic/ Vsign neo. For metal, go with Vsign earl. Listen to me, don't go for any foreign brand just because of the name. Gama pens/ Asa pens are significantly significantly significantly better than any foreign brand and comes in 2000 rs.
The ink flow of frontier is very irregular and inconsistent and it stops and starts while writing and also when you start to use it, it takes time to start putting ink on the paper. The nib is actually very smooth but it provides low feedback for control and fast accurate writing. I would suggest spending some more money to just buy the Pilot Kakuno which take cares of all the points I mentioned above and is extremely consistent.

Hello brother brought a parker vector ct today, heard a lot about the writting of this pen from you , 1st of all I am facing the issue of high bleeding, the pen being a fine nib is providing the stroke of medium to broad nib it feerls very uncomfortable to write woth it. Every thing is ok about this pen the built quality, it's weight ...but if it don't serve the purpose for which it is made then it's useless. I see that ur pens write with very fine strokes, I have also used both thick and thin quality the reasult in both of them is disappointing. I have used the ink from camline , and I don't think its an isswe with ink?

One thing I don't like is that even the 1700₹ pen doesn't come with ebonite feed, all feeds are plastic build. More expensive pens should have ebonite feed
Don't use those new Camlin plastic bottle inks, they are really bad, they form a moss like layer near the nib area if you keep the ink in the pen for somedays. I have used it, I wrote with the ink daily, still that mossy layer started. Better go for bril or daytone inks. There are some other options also in that price range. Just check it in the net.

Exact alternative to the preppy is jinhao 992. Equally smooth as preppy and comes with a convertor too. Can be purchased from penhouse for 160-200rs.

In fact, the smooth nib of Parker frontier itself is manufactured by Kanwrite, you can purchase nibs from them. Frontier isn't value for money at all.
