Love the review. Very informative. How would you compare this to the V3 Mantis? I'm an intermediate rider, but only ride waves (no freestyle). Usually, waist to head high waves with 14 to 18 knot wind.
Great question! They both have the same goal really which is to have a versitile yet easy user experience. The Mantis is a little lighter feeling in the waves, the Nova V3 has a wider speed range and more apparent wind and upwind ability. -Tucker
The V3 is a complete re-design and I'd say it's in improvement in every category. The V2 is a great, middle of the road wing but lacks the refinements which make the V3 one of the best wings in the market. Most notably, the V3 is stiffer, has a wider range, and vastly improved upwind performance. -Tucker
Looking to upgrade my 6m V1 Nova. At 80kg in my wetsuit I’m very happy with the early get up and go at 11kts - 12kts. The review says it may be possible to drop a size. Do you think the V3 in 5m would give a similar performance or would you stick with a 6M?
Tucker, I know you have spent a fair amount of time on the Aluula Glide, so I want to get your opinion. 62 yo, 5'11" 81kg and have been really loving the 6M Aluula Glide, but have been using in all wind conditions. Gets difficult with winds or gusts over the low 20 mph range. Do you think this wing would work for me? (I don't have a chance to demo). Lately with winds over 30 mph, have been thinking about the 4.2 M size. Thoughts?
Wow didn't see a V3 coming. North nails the color every time 💛. Apart from the increased anhedral, added inflation/dump valve (which must make you happy :-) , better window layout (makes sense!) I see that the 'soft battens' in the trailing edge are gone. There were there with V1 and V2. Is there a reason for that? Are we trending away from these? Or has instead the entire trailing edge been reinforced with dark yellow part? Tks for the vid!
Yes, super stoked on this wing! Not sure on the battens, I assume the new design didn't need them to control the flapping since the canopy is so tight. -Tucker
Thank you for the great (as usual) review. How would you compare the Nova V3 against the Slingwing V3 (hard handles) in terms of grunt/low end and handling of the wing, perhaps in the bigger sizes (eg 5.5/6)? Thank you for doing a great service 👍🏻

Hi, thanks for the video. Could you compare the V3 with V2 nova?
Great suggestion, my friend. 🤙🏽 We'll add that to our list for future videos. Good winds to you! -Aaron

I'd stick with a 6m to ensure you have an easy up in light winds. It's got great top end too so you won't sacrifice
any range. -Tucker

Tucker as a 3m high wind wing what would be your 1sr choice
@@JohnOhLoverOfLife Typically I treat my 4.2m Mode as a 3m since it has so much high end but for a "actual" 3m I'd go for a Nova v3 or Mantis. -Tucker
