THANK YOU! For what? Well, in short, and however comically paradoxical this may sound: for Terre d'Hermes Eau de Vetiver Intense. You see, I watched your review of it, and your opinion of it was, if I'm not overstating it, "meh." But one man's "meh" can be another man's paradise. You see (again), I understood the context of your less-than-rave review. Your take was, if you have one or more of the other incarnations of TdH, why would you need this one? I followed that perfectly. But of course I DON"T have any other TdH. And I'm mad about Vetiver. Plus, you questioned its being called "Intense" when it didn't strike you as a monster scent: again, BIG plus to me because I want "subtle and classy." And while I appreciate a bit of citrusy beginning, I don't want a massive Lemon Drop effect. I went to my local Brocard, browsed their Hermes shelf and saw no Eau de Vetiver. Was terribly disappointed. But I tried the others, the parfum, the tres fraiche, the Sport, the EdT. Hmm... If I were going to go for one, I was leaning toward the parfum...to spray under the shirt...hoping it calmed down and got warmer, less tingly in the nose...but...not so sure. Well, today I went back, asked in an act of last hope whether they had the EdVI, and voila, there it was high up on the shelf where I overlooked it! Got spritzed with the tester. Yep, that TdH opening mandarin-y fizziness, yet almost like a fleeting "Hi!" on its way out. Then...oh my oh my. It goes somewhere mystical for me. Takes me to somewhere I've been long, long ago and I can't put my finger on it. Feelings of early childhood come through, back in the Bronx, grown-ups, something hypnotizing, warmly enfolding...it's magical. So, Sebastian. thank you! You sold me, by being perfectly honest and making it clear your "meh" was loaded with potential "wow" for my perhaps oddball instincts.
Also, I now understand what you mean when you talk about vetiver being "dirty." Yes, TdH EdVI is a far "dirtier" vetiver than what I was introduced to by L'Occitane's EdV. It's, yes, still...vetiver, but a radically different experience all the same. But I like it. Yes, I think I like it...very much. So this is something else I'm now learning: like a scent for what it is, don't blame it for what it's not. Scents are...apples and oranges, in a manner of speaking. Like, for instance, CdG Rouge and this TdH EdVI--how could one even dream of comparing them? Completely different experiences.
Great video!!! I find the names of Mancera frags very misleading... On another topic: It would be great if you could keep the name of the perfume on the screen, with those longer lists it's just easier to follow. Love from Poland 😄
LOVE Mancera/Montale fragrances! I have decants of Roses Vanille, Velvet Vanilla, and Holidays and totally agree with your assessments of them. Velvet Vanilla immediately made me think of Love By Kilian as well. I also have Black Vanilla and Vanille Exclusive by this house and they are also excellent (can you tell I'm a vanilla lover?) I have not tried Instant Crush yet but it sounds very similar to sister house Montale's Sensual Instinct, which also reminds me a lot of BR540 and Alphaora.
Instant Crush smells more like Cocoa Butter. Sensual instinct is similar to BR 540
The only Mancera I own is Sicily. Citrus heavy with a noticeable jasmine that comes out as it develops.

@@breewright8702 I think one could. It's a bright citrus with an extremely white floral dry down. I can't see it performing too well in dead winter in terms of longevity but I like to wear "summer" fragrances then as a pick me up
I think aoud lemon mint could find place in this list, always sparks positive reactions when i wear it :)

Before knowing anything about Creed Aventus, I was wearing Mancera Cedrat Boise.
The only Mancera fragrance I own is Cedrat Boise which I love and my girlfriend does too. I bought they’re men’s fragrance sample pack from Twisted Lily and would recommend people who are curious to do so. I really love Black Gold. It definitely leans more feminine to me with mostly florals through the opening and mid. However I keep coming back to it because it smells so good. Aoud Lemon Mint is another one to definitely check out.

I’ve been wearing Mancera’s Jardin Exclusif lately and it’s one of my favs! Get compliments on it too!! Very fruity, but also sexy to me lol. It’s compared a lot to Erba Pura…haven’t smelled that one though so couldn’t really say

Another great list! I’ve also acquired a large mancera collection. I think my favorite might be aoud lemon mint.
I only own a full EDP bottle of Lemon Line but I had samples of multiple ones both to try for myself as well as run by family members (Indian Dream, So Blue, Black Line, Oud Cafe). I got it about 6 years ago and it's still lasted me despite being one of my absolute best. It literally smells like one of my favourite childhood sweets, sherbet lemons. But with the amber, oakmoss and musk kicking in on the dry down.
One spray can literally last months. I found a shirt that fell down the back of my bed and I knew I was wearing Lemon Line when I wore it because I could still smell it. This only really happens with two other frags I have and that's Joop Homme and Al Rehab Rasha and to nowhere near this extent.
Have you smelled Choco Violet? It isn't just my fave Mancera, but my favorite perfume of my whole collection...definitely worth a try if you haven't smelled it before. I also love Red Tobacco, Aoud Orchid, Holidays and Royal Vanilla. Who am I kidding? I love pretty much everything Mancera puts out. LOL Great video, and thanks for sharing!

My favorites from Montale are 1)Intense Pepper 2)Bakhoor 3)Black Musk. I own Cedrat Boise, Aoud Lemon Mint, and Red Tobacco from Mancera. I actually prefer the Montale releases over the Mancera. They have beastly staying power and the dry-down is heavenly.

I wear Hindu Kush as my signature scent. Thanks to you from a couple a years ago I bought it and it's my favorite scent in my collection. And so many compliments from the girs.
I only own Cedrat Boise & Saharian Wind. Saharian must easily be the best Mancera I've smelled objectively speaking

Mancera Aoud Blue Notes is a great fruity scent for spring and summer, although it has enough power to be worn in colder months.

I really enjoy Hindu Kush. I ordered some samples including black gold, cedrat boise, aoud lemon mint. All of these smell really good however, none of these has the longevity i was expecting, except hindu kush. It projects really well off my skin and create this scent bubble, not a skin scent. For that its bottle worthy imo. Smells good and has a unique scent so you definitely wont be smelling like anyone else.

I have Mancera Black Gold. It is really a different fragrance. This is on a level of sophistication that is not everyday. I consider this my signature scent, but not for everyday interface. Not everyone would 'get it' and I did not get it at first for several wearings.
I am now looking at fragrances from the year 2000 just to break the mold.
I really enjoy bold attempts that are luxurious and individual. Montale Black Gold is not for everyone. I just love it so much.

Oud lemon mint is straight trash, didn’t last at all, 2hrs tops
I just bought my first 120ml bottle today and thinking about buying another all day reason looking up videos.
After listening to your review, I did a blind buy of Mancera: Hindu Kush. I got it yesterday and all I can say is OMG!!! It smells better (IMO) than Credrat Boise. Don't get me wrong, the Credrat Boise is no slouch, I love it just as much, but the Hindu Kush may become my new signature scent. I ordered a sample of the Red Tobacco and I have to say, your review of it is spot on. When I sprayed the sample, the tobacco is very strong, but not in a bad way. As time went on, the scent of the tobacco started to soften a little and the sweetness came to the top. At first I thought is was honey because that's what it smelled like; tobacco infused with honey, but as I read the notes, I saw that it was actually vanilla. After about an 45 minutes to an hour, I was like, "okay, I could wear this." So, Red Tobacco will be in my new Mancera line up. As we speak, I've ordered some Montale samples because I really want to break away from the designer and go into the niche spectrum. Now that I see that I'm liking it, I plan on getting into it even more.

I actually like Mancera more than Montale...
Black Gold is hands down my fav then Aoud Lemon Mint and Red Tobacco.... Instant Crush is dope as well but for my wife not for me.
