One thing i would like to point out which is good that no players or officials from india did any big mouthing, blowing their own trumpet and they are just focussing on one thing , one goal , one target that is WC 2023 and let the players speak with their batting or bowling and it is so clearly visible. 1:08:46, Ali Bhai i think Siraj will bounce back in the next game against Sri Lanka, he will channel in the Asia Cup Final and get back in Rhythm against his favourite opponent. However instead of dropping out Siraj, Once Hardik is fit he should come in place of Shreyas Iyer and one of Surya/Kishan should play.
It will also give the bowling support when one of the pacers are having an off day and leaking runs. You can play Surya if you want bank on him for hitting it out in the last 10-15 overs or you can play Kishan at 4 where he can provide you stability as well as aggression and also the left hander matchup when required.
We need shreyas iyer! Hardik should replace surya
@@SK1717 The team cannot afford him throwing away his wicket in World Cup matches, opportunities have been given, sometimes it is required to rest a player and have him work on certain aspects of his game. We have a pretty good bench which can also be utilized in the remaining matches and you can always bring back Shreyas once he has worked out his problem, we need to keep in mind that the pitches for Semis are predominantly pace favoured and bouncy tracks, and most likely the Top 4 will consist of Ind SA NZ Aus, the other teams will look to target Shreyas with the short Ball.
So it would be wise for the management i.e Dravid and Rohit to rest Shreyas for the next few games for him to work on his game, there is no doubt India needs Shreyas Iyer in fact India needs all of their 15 players to deliver and there is no shame in resting Shreyas and working with him on his batting. He is an exceptional batter against subcontinent teams who play more spinners whereas against pace bowling he is currently struggling and he needs to work on it to be a much better player and cement the no. 4 spot for years to come.
yes i do feel the same, he is not of the type to give up so easily and we have seen this before, when everyone was speaking about him and said he is Virat's blue eyed boy but man he proved everyone wrong so he will be back with a bang. I hope management does not drop him for his 2 bad performances out of 6. Only change i foresee is hardik coming in place of iyer which will give an additional bowling option in case one of the bowlers have a day off because going with just 5 bowlers is a risk which has not impacted india till now but can have a severe serious impact sometime.
@@1101smartkooldude Agreed, we need to keep a provision for an extra fast bowler, since Siraj has been struggling with form and often his start decides the way he is going to bowl throughout the match, also Hardik coming back doesn't immediately guarantee you 10 overs of bowling so you can not drop Shami and Siraj. Also Hardik giving you a few overs mean, India can Start with 4 overs of Bumrah and Shami each Hardik can bowl 2 in the first ten and then Siraj can be preserved for over 10-20 and 35-40 where he can be lethal with the ball. Recently Siraj has been excellent in his second spells which are often in the middle overs.

I'd still evaluate following replacements After Hardik is back:
1. Replace Siraj with Shammi. Shammi is a "wicket taking bowler" and game changer.
2. Replace Iyer with Surya, if Iyer continues to underperform. Iyer continues to suffer against short ball with a mental block.
3. Replace Gill with Ishan (left handed batter) if Gill continues to underperform after Dengue
Another observation: Rohit Sharma is a class act and bats for the team. He does NOT resort to Stat-padding like Kohli chasing stats. So he commands more respect in my eyes !
Real test for team India will be knockout phases against Australia or South Africa when they meet them.
Australia is Not the same Australia that started the WC, they look 10X better with Travis Head, back & Zampa Iin full form. South Africa also will be tough to beat esp if Klassen, Makaram, Miller fire. They also have Rabada & Jansen who have been bowling well.

Lucknow, the seat of Awadhi culture, was host to India vs England cricket match today. With five wins in a row, there was a faint possibility that India might have an off day or, at least, they would have a hard day at the office. My doubts were beginning to turn ominous as Shubman was out for an off-cutter that went through the gate and disturbed the timber. The next two wickets of Kohli and Iyer were gifted away more due to impatience of the batters, to force the pace on a sluggish pitch, than due to any venom in the bowling. By the end of the 12th over India were 40 for 3, and struggling to stay relevant for the next 38 overs. At 131 for 3, just as India were beginning to believe they were out of the woods; another irresponsible shot played on the still unforgiving pitch by Rahul spelt his doom and pegged back India’s renaissance.
India needed Hitman Sharma to score a daddy hundred, but that was not to be, Rohit fell for a rather ambitious shot which was becoming a trend in this innings. With the Indian tail being as long as a dragon’s, it was left for SKY to do all the fire breathing. Unfortunately, SKY didn’t have enough fire in his belly to outlast the England bowling and perished in the 47th over. Finally, it was left to Bumrah to ensure that India did not get bowled out.
England’s openers came on to the field with purpose. They were determined to prove that they are the defending champions for a reason. At 30 for no loss in 4.4 overs, it appeared that they were on track to prove their point. But, this Indian bowling unit is the best in business at the moment. In the next 5 overs, the packed stadium witnessed some of the finest seam bowling they would see for years to come. A mere 9 runs given and 4 wickets in the kitty. That broke the back of England’s resolve. From there on, it was not a matter of whether India will win - the question was, by what margin? There was no resistance from a side that boasts of batting till number 10.
India won in style and confined England to the bottom of the table.
