When you unfriend, you can friend them back, while blocking usually seems like u rlly don’t like that person. Here’s the best way I can describe it,
You start at level 1.
If someone friends you you’ll go to level 2.
Unfriend isn’t goes back to 1, blocking goes to 0.

I have to block friends that aren’t online ever and then I feel like on day they’ll come online and figure out I blocked them, other reasons are because they never send light and I always send light to them. I know that blocking someone for that reason might be stupid but I think it’s disrespectful in my opinion so I block them because I can’t unfriend them. I also keep friends that send gifts of light and don’t only play once a month or so it feels like.

this came to my recommendation but man, twitter really teach me that blocking people online isn't a big deal 🤣 curate your own gaming experience, make sure YOU'RE comfortable playing it even if it means blocking people. and the reason "I'm just not comfortable being around u" is valid enough for u to block them
I would love if there was an option to just remove people from constellation without blocking them. It gets crowded really quickly and I have to block people who are offline for a long time or just don't respond to lights and hearts. But doing it feels awful 😢

This just happened to me today. I haven't seen my friend online for like 4 days and couldn't send them hearts or light either and thought maybe they aren't playing. But I noticed his cosmetics were changing and saw his medication message and confirmed . Well, that hurts a bit... 😢
All this shows you is that they changed their outfit. Unless you are obsessively clicking their friend star over and over, and doing this in a short amount of time you may have just missed them. Doesn’t mean for sure they blocked you.
Also with TGCs limit of something like 75 names total in your friend constellation lists the only way to get people who have fallen off your constellation to show up is to start blocking some people, or you’re unable to light all of your friends’ stars. I have to block and unblock and reblock like a 1/3 of my friends list every day because of this stupid limit/bug. I don’t understand why in a supposedly social game there is a limit to the number of friends that display or if it’s a bug why they won’t fix this.

I have only ever blocked one person, because she got really annoyed at me just for going to eden without her. I was a moth at the time and she was 4 months in, so it didn't make sense. After that she started using the angry emote every time I saw her in home space so I blocked her. I dont need that kinda energy when I'm trying to chill in Sky
Sounds like she has abandonment issues. I feel bad for her. Not everything everyone does that seems rude, is intentionally rude, they just have unfortunate issues. I hope she learns how to communicate better though.
@@literallyasuka2996 yes thats true, we never know what’s going on in people’s lives. I did try to talk to her a few times after but that didn’t work either, just made her angrier. And with me having fairly bad anxiety in the last year, I think it was best for both of us to just have some time apart lol. I have lots of really nice other friends in game and I’m sure she does too

I've blocked two people so far.
One wouldn't stop making fun of the cosmetics I wear. If I didn't change them, they'd abandon me to go do something else. I don't regret blocking them at all lmao.
The other was because they wouldn't stop following me, but they weren't mean or anything, I just like to play Sky solo usually and it makes me anxious when people port to me a ton and try to do an entire CR with me, especially when we don't have chat unlocked. I feel bad blocking them, but yeah.
I get this. I am a solo player as well but have made a few friends who always like to hang out if they see me online. I'm very tempted to block them when I'm needing space, then unblocking when I'm feeling more outgoing, but that's not fair to them either. I should be more open with how I feel, but am too worried I'll hurt their feelings and they'll never want to play together again :(

I recently added someone new they're pretty chill but their friend on the other hand... When I logged in I saw her so I was saying hi and tried to make small conversation. I blocked my friend because interacting with them triggered my mental health issues, and I really don’t like talking and a lot of other stuff. I don’t want to tell them directly because they will be hurt...so I told them I quit Sky, and I did, (for a while) and now I’m less active but still playing for some cosmetics. If they see me online they will want to talk to me but I directly can’t say I don’t want to talk to them anymore because (said above) they have a soft personality and will be hurt. After finding out they can still see costume changes and messages I really wish there would be an unfriend button.

I had one ikemen friend when I first got in the game. They helped me a lot but one day after finishing Cr (candle run) they promised the day after that day we can go for another cr again. I waited the whole day next day. It's been 3 months since then and I tried this block trick with a friend of mine. Turns out they blocked me... I was so sad at that time like they broke the promise :(

Few days later we meet again because they tped to me and they asked me again and I was like "no". They then proceeded to ask me to be their brother and I agreed to it just to get them off my back, but I am still wary of them. ^^;;

Well unfortunately there's no other choice. I can't unfriend someone so I have to block him, because you know I'm kinda tired sometimes of friends that don't lit back your candle at constellation.

Blocking people is a really really REALLY RARE case in sky since whats the point of unlocking chat if u litearly just block him/her

because they stop playing. idk about you, maybe you're just kind or whatever, but i've blocked way too many people in sky since i started playing simply because they quit game, and since tgc doesn't let me simply unfriend them, and the constellation is laggy and way limited as it is, it's a sad reality that sometimes it's necessary to block people to see others. honestly it's a rather weird choice to have an option to friend as many people as you wish but you can only see around 80 of them in your constellation.
I've a friend. We are friends for almost 6 months i think (i dont remember). Suddenly, he disappeared. Just like that. I'm just so disappointed with him. He treated me like his younger sister and i like him as friend and brother even tho we're completely different from many aspects. It just that im so appreciated him very much for come to my life and companied me playing sky whenever i felt alone during pandemic. And now, i dont know whats happening to him and whats up with him. It just that i lost contact with him. He deleted his socia media and i can't contact with him anymore. Plus he's one of my closest friend and im very comfortable with him. But, i think he blocked me in Sky. I just dont know why he did that. Maybe because of he's busy but why he... blocked me? He also blocked my bestfriend too since we played together. It just that im so disappointed with him. I felt like i shouldn't making online friends anymore because it so damn hurts when they leave me 😔🔫 (i got a lot of online friends which im very comfortable with them) and now i learnt my lesson that i shouldn't hoping them to stay... okey thats all. Im fine tho lol just wanna share my story
Also, when you TP to one mutual friend and the person who blocked you is with that friend, when you call to warp, you can see their 'eye' too (the person who blocked you) and they appear unlit to you. 😅

I've been wondering what that eye means. I either see a friend's name, an arrow, a plus sign, or an eye, when a player is nearby but not in my field of vision. I get what everything is but the eye. It makes no sense to me.

I blocked someone recently, it was some days before the Days of Rainbow. They started to complain that TGC made an event for supporting the LGBTQIA+ community after that my "friend" asked my gender so I told them I was trans (MtF). After that , they started using offensive terms to refer to me. Days after that , I noticed a boat in home from my "friend" and they said that I digusted them , they were ashamed to be my friend and that I was a disgrace to everyone and they used transphobic terms . After seeing that , I reported his message and blocked him.

Understandable though. I go through phases of playing the game and then leaving for a bit and I’m a bit of a solo player. I’m going to try harder to hold onto my friends a bit more from now on..
I became friends with a group of people who all know each other and as time passed they all became very toxic and racist towards me, they made me feel worthless or that i was boring. They all ganged up on me. Sky is a relaxing space for me. I still haven’t done it but i’m debating blocking all of them. I wish there was an unfriend button because it makes me feel bad but i don’t even want to get on the game if they’re online :(

Please, block all of them. If they're toxic towards you then you shouldn't have second thoughts on abandoning them. Letting them free and take advantage is not the best idea

I know by my own self that many ppl get uncomfortable/irked with something about you and even if they act like nothing is wrong they eventually cut you off without a word or explaining what you did simple bc it was making them really uncomfortable to have you around but at the same time the thing was so small they were worried they make an enemy if they confront you about it.

@@mrgvcci7167 necessary if you have a lot of friends. There is max cap of like 75 friends to show on all pages. After that the game starts to randomly drop people off your constellation. The only way to see them again is to start blocking people.
In a supposedly socially focused game this is so dumb. They need to fix this issue. I have to block and unblock and reblock a large number of people every day to get everyone’s stars lit. I try to do it by world timezones so that i block people when they are probably sleeping but honestly there is only so much you can do 🤷♀️
@@mrgvcci7167 Actually, sometimes its necessary because sky friends constellation is so limited, some people with many friends becomes unable to light everyone up and in order to see others that havent been Lit, they would block some people temporarily to Lit the other friends and unblock afterwards

Some of my ubers blocked me prolly cause they have too many friends.
I found out cause I don't see them in the Constellation which is actually how you know someone blocked you. I put them as favorite to make sure. Their star wasn't there. I wasn't mad tho so we just had a little small talk... And guess what? When I said goodbye I did one last check and THEY UNBLOCKED ME🥺🥺❤️❤️❤️

How can you tell if they're taking the daily lights? I just don't get what all those tiny symbols are by their names (maybe this is easier to see on IOS/Android? On Switch it's very small)

i got in an argument in sky with my favorite friend. And, they haven’t changed or been online, i’m scared that they blocked me. It’s really over whelming, i have a heavy feeling in my chest right now. I’m just worried that if they’re okay or not. they are usually online at this time.
I’ve had to block 2 people now because they have asked me for my phone number or socials to chat. I just want to play the actual game and not chat. There’s almost always a language barrier too and I can’t find a friend who speaks English. The two people I have blocked were also a bit creepy.

1.tap them,see if a slight glow appears,then they've blocked you.
2.sit and try to chat but cannot see their chats
3.ask one of their mutual friends if they blocked you,they usually have an answer.

What if you can see that they are saying something but it's just dots and there is a locked icon next to the chat bubbles? I'm 99% sure someone blocked me but feel bad not giving them the benefit of the doubt, maybe a glitch. 🙁 I don't understand why I would see the name still and they weren't online in the constellation.

I realized that I'm probably blocked as well by some people in game. If they didn't want to be my friend they should have said something in the first place with the no emote, and I would've left them alone. Like this morning I lighted a veteran player just to be curious, and they said no emote, and flew away ..😭 I'm a moth, so I guess I wasn't that surprised that some older players don't want to interact.I'm only going to ask future people to be my friend through a table, or a bonfire. basically anywhere that has a free chat, and only after a nice conversation. Don't get me wrong the community in itself is nice, but people still are rude for no reason. I try not to bother older players, and I'm already shy enough as it is so it sucks, but I have met some nice folks so I'm grateful for that regardless :)

I am not sure if this was the case or not, but a moth friended me for I am not sure what reason, so I just accepted. I had to go in a minute cause my dad kept yelling at me to get off, so I had to leave. Next day I couldn’t light their star, so I think they blocked me for leaving :/ Maybe they were mad that they “wasted a candle” or something, but it wasn’t a waste cause 1, I light all my friends candles everyday, and 2, they couldve just joined me later lol.

@@25649sanchez you can light her candle but since she block you she wont receive it so most likely her name will stay the same as when she didnt retrieve your candle

I'm getting the impression that friends I can't share daily light with have blocked me as I see they have changed cosmetics over time so have been online. Can you share daily light if you're blocked? Mm i have a friend in sky who im pretty close with(as in playing with them often) but recently i realized tht my friend hasn't been 'active',so i thought friend was busy... I ask another friend today, who's also a friend to X,tht X is online.. But i couldn't see it in my constellation..a little sad cause before all this we told each other tht we would go to eye of eden tgt(last week) 😅

Same thing happened to everyone I didn’t want to block ppl but one day I was running with a newbie and when I tried rejoining to her I couldn’t find her then I blocked about 10ppl ??? Finally her name popped up 😅 thanks for watching

I fear one just blocked me. It wasn't my fault. Server has been having issues today, everyone complaining of connection error showing. It causes chat delays too. It got the point where my messages weren't sending at all. Friend could still send though so it looked like I was ignoring them. After a while they left me and went home, said they were going to do wind trial. I went home too and they said they hated me before running into portal. I had to restart to try and fix issues. They should have still been online, but constellation said they weren't.
I just want to explain and apologise. Hopefully they haven't blocked me and I'll get that chance.
bro im camping here rn bc i blocked a friend bc everytime i said hi or waved they literally ignored me always, and eventually i saw that they dont return lights either so i just blocked them fr fr. But the problem is, im also friends with one of their friend so usually i go offline when i see them together (im still friends with the other one bc he returns my lights but basically only pays me attention when hes not talking to another person lol). I know bc i see the red circle thing. And just now what happened was, i waved to the friend im still friends with, and it turns out the two of them have figured out smth bc that friend brought that blocked friend to me, seemingly opening up a confrontation between the two of us. So i panicked and exited the game. Now l here i am watching these videos lol. Sad as it seems i plan to block the other one at this point bc as i exited the game i think they already know whats up. I dont even care anymore if they misunderstand me, i dont want confrontation and i dont really want to unblock that friend which i know they will ask me if i can do. *sigh*
also i know im a coward and ill accept it, but i really dont want to confront them. I wish that when u block/unfriend someone, tgc makes it so that they return to an unlitted person and not a red circle where its so obvious that u blocked them. Theres some ppl that i really just want to cut off the game

She might just be online when you aren't. If you can light her star then it means she's receiving the light and didn't block you. If you can't light her star again even when her clothing changes and its been reset, then it probably means she blocked you. If her clothing doesn't change at all and you cant light her star, give it a few more days, she might just haven't been online for a while. Keep in mind tho that some ppl don't receive lights from friends when they say they're going to be inactive/busy (a friend of mine did it to me when she said she was going to take a break from sky for a bit. I still saw her outfit changing but I couldn't light her star)
A way to easily tell if your friend has blocked u is by checking if their outfit changes (without them being online) when you're online. But poor wifi might also make your friends look like they're offline. So to double check, see if it happens on multiple days

@@luciferapotheosis are u sure she's not just coming online when you aren't? She might not be staying on for long. I doubt someone would be willing to block and unblock to light and send hearts, especially now that the friend constallation got a revamp 🤔

Not if they block you. You don’t see them come on and offline even if you both favorite each other.
