My locals for a long time have been trying to experiment with bringing new ways to play the game, besides just alternate tournaments that Bushi provides. This sounds like a phenomenal idea. Something to do as a side of end during tournaments or just hanging out on discord. Thanks for the great idea!
Yoooooo absolutely love the idea of trying custom game modes/format. We really need more ways to enjoy the game beyond the scope of what's provided by bushi
hey deckflare, loves your video's. I really love your how to play series, and was hoping that you would make another one on every new set. It really helped a newbie like me and gave me insight on what decks to build. Thanks!
Oh do love me some alternate formats. For a while now I've been making my own drafts, should get on to making the DZ one sometime soon. But I suppose for alternate formats I messed around with recently. 1. Plebien: Aside from whatever grade 3 (or 10 in Dragontree's case) you choose to run in the ride deck, every other card in your deck must be either Common, Rare or from a Starter product (promo's printed within do not count). Some exception can be made for certain cards to make some decks more playable but for the most part it sticks to what it says. Current restriction list still applies. 2. Restriction List Wild West: The player drafts an updated restriction list, based on their "expert" opinions on a card that should be banned, put to 1, put to 2 and a pair of cards to be choice restricted. How the list shall be compiled is up to the organizer. There are few exceptions of course to keep decks/sets of cards able be function: For example Liael = Odium cannot be choice restricted with Steam Maiden, Tigalt nor can either be banned outright.
How difficult would it be to rework the OTs to be a type of tier restrict? So certain decks depending on their Tiering have to use either the Generic OT, or could have reign with any of the 6 It's available through the 5 generics plus nation. For example, Varga gets stuck with the generic OT, but something like Gravidia could run any of the 5, but like the tiering, you get 1 OT per tier. So let's say you go Levidras, Impauldio, Overlord, Alestiel and Favneel, Levidras would be stuck with only the basic 100 mill OT, but Favneel could run any of other OTs due to being a lower ranking
you should try bring 3 ban 1, same as the last man standing but you get to eliminate one before the first game making it a best of 3 instead of best of 5
I thought about it! The big thing though is that the power level of decks isn't really equal to each other, so a large majority of the time both players will just ban the other's S tier deck.
@@deckflare3770 true, in Legends Of Runeterra pro scene, which also has "bring 3 ban 1" , each player will ALWAYS ban their current format tier 0 deck.
