Happy Gliga 2 owner here - both the 1 and 2 in this video are nice to listen to!
I like how the back of the 2 looks on camera compared to the 1, but they would look and sound different in person as well.

both sound pleasant and mellow but there's something about the 1 that's especially pleasing to the ear.. to be honest i would be happy with either :D

I loved this video so much that I went and purchased a Gliga gama....:( Not sure how equivalent the sound is compared to the Gliga I and II. Could you please let me know the name of the song you're playing? Its lovely. I want to compare it with my violin.

Hello. I'm in the UK. Here the Gligas are named Genial, Gems, Gama and so on, as they ascend in quality. Do you have any idea where your Gliga One equates to this system? Please and thank you!

Gliga 1 is gems 1, gliga 2 is gems 2 and gliga 3 is genial. A step up from the gliga 1 shown here, would be the gliga Gama. Hope this helps!

Hi Richard, I like this comparison. May I know what strings you put on them both? Thanks!

Dear Carie! To my ears the Gliga #2 had a better ring to it. The Gliga #1 may have better wood, I simply don't know for sure. But I do feel the Gliga#2 had better ring. My advise is to visit the store and actually play the entire line of Gligas and let your ears be the guide. I have been considering Gligas myself and hope youl be patient and give as many as possible a test play with your regular bow to be fair. Hope Ive been of help.😅

How much the price for gliga 1?

We charge $1250 inc GST at the time of this video. You will find that is a little more than what you might pay elsewhere. Almost every shop that sell Gliga in Australia, provide them with the setup that comes from the wholesaler which is better than a 'factory setup', but not great. We remove that setup and replace it with much higher quality parts and workmanship which would cost over $350 if you were to have it done separately. The result is a violin that sounds fuller, stronger and is easier to play. (that's a long answer :)
