The 2021 Mustang Mach 1 is coming soon. With this in mind my buddy Garrett invited me to drive his new edge Mustang Mach 1 once again. However this time it is terminator swapped with an amazing story behind it. We go for a drive, tell the story, and talk about what makes this car in particular so special. KirkHammettsWahPedal I appreciate there are plenty of other awesome engines out there, and maybe one day I’ll be able to own something exotic with a V12, but nothing does it for me quite like a V8 😄 I’ve got 3 cars and they’re all V8s and as I live in the UK that’s pretty rare!

The '03-'04 Mach 1 might be my favorite Mustang ever.
This man is the only guy I know to blow up four valves v8 mustangs besides wrecking them
those engines were time bombs but it usually takes boost or low oil to ruin them
@@mcf3778 what makes them time bombs? If they're cared for, they seem to last forever. LMR has a dyno video of a '99 Cobra with 268,000 miles on it, still making 290hp. Thats impressive, to say the least.

I think the 03/4 cobra/termi spoiler gives a lowered look as well as accentuates the rear quarter panels giving a widebody look. Add a front bumper of the same year, an aftermarket ram air/cowl hood, coilovers and staggered wheels and done.

I was just watching an old video from DerekBaranProductions and you can see Brandon and Garrett riding in Brandon's Cobra in the video. In the video titled, "we found a bagged mach 1!" you can see the two of them at the 3 minute mark. I've watched this video so many times that despite never meeting either of them, they were instantly recognizable lol. (you can actually see them at like the 2:54 mark but it becomes apparent it's them at the 3:00 mark)
Whenever I mention to someone that I have a Mach 1, their response: "jUsT bUy a TeRmiNaToR BrO"

Market around here is 12,000 for a mach1 with 120k or 19,000 for a cobra with 80k
@@carlosvelasco4119 I paid 11.5k for 32k miles for my mach 1. Clean title and everything. Either in lucky or people around you charge waaay too much
@@toybox5576 yea that is about right and it's hard to find a decent low mileage terminator under 20 grand. They are better cars but they cost significantly more also. The mach 1 could be built to similar specs performance wise for less money. A set of forged rods and pistons is only like what 1500 bucks? You could also set the compression ratio where ya want it this way for more potential I'd go 10:1 like stock mach 1 if I was going boost. You could throw on a ported Eaton or used TVS and get the 5 speed built for maybe 5 grand total if you do your homework and your own installs. Some may not be able to afford a terminator right off and the mach is more in their price range and they could build it over time. You could come out even performance wise and potential wise for similar money on both give or take but the cobra is alot better set up from the factory but you pay alot extra for that too. Both cars are awesome I just think the mach is a little disrespected when compared to the terminator.
@@midnight347 I agree. I know my next mustang purchase after my bronco comes will be a terminator. Im at a point where I can have both. The mach will stay as is. Maybe a cam. When the terminator comes im going to squeeze as much out as I can

Boosted Mach 1's are a blast to drive! I've got a 2003 Azure Blue Mach 1 that I've been building as well.
I really want to do a termi swap to my mach, ive also wanted the 99/01 cobra front bumper for ever but hard to find and pricey. They should have come on all machs.

To this day, these mod motors still make one of he best modern V8 noises. They have a music like tone to them, and this one is singing in honer of his friend

A shaker hood on an S550 doesn't even look bad, it just really depends on the design. Since the hood is a wide bitch you need to also have a shaker that's a bit streched out with a thinner profile.

A redesigned shaker for the S550 hood/body likes would however be sick! It would have to be wider and sloped but def doable...

MY2017 Mustangs onwards are selling strong here in Australia. Only seen a few of these ones so far. Really wouldnt mind importing a foxbody and doing a build like Farah's 💯💪

Probably heard on the local news about the guy who died in the video. Brandon Bowen wove through traffic passing cars at a very high rate of speed in the center lane before losing control and smashing into a tree. Presumably his girlfriend was in the passenger seat, almost killed her too. Was airlifted to a hospital.

I am more a fan of the 03-04 cobra bumpers, they are just a tad more aggressive IMHO. Got to love the fact this one has a Terminator setup under the hood. The new edge mach is easily my favorite looking new edge. The only reason the Cobra eeks out the win is that awesome motor! And the owner is 100% right. A new edge mach needs a shaker!

I'm a sinner. I have a mach 1 with a few mods I daily. But I have a 2000 gt I bought with a blown engine. Well, I had a 1uz toyota v8 I was rebuilding for my 4runner but I sold that. So now I'm going to try and Frankenstein a new edge with a 1uz turbo swap.
Hopefully done in the next few years so I can get ahold of that dude in blue and make something happen.
