I noticed that if you make one connection, it is permissible to attach only two things in this way, then it works without bugs, but if you make a chain, it works only in the simulation and then bugs when quickly moved, and when it is pushed by a collision of the player, the chain seems to explode, scatters randomly and spins along strange axes. I wrote this comment because I am grateful to the author and so that people know that this is not a useless thing, but you can simply cover two subjects. I will test again, maybe three will work without bugs or more.
@@Topvq no you didnt change the mass on all chain mashes not the connection to like 20 ish works for me
@@Topvq do you know why the guy adds a number to each string? If he connects it by number, why does he add a 3 and an eight out of nowhere? 3:37
I do not understand that part
@@Mr_Wilfred I am not sure but I think the first number is the first chain and the, second the second chain you try to connect
Thanks you so much for this! This taught me the basics so fast.
i turned the mass kg to 200 for all the chains then i turned on slerp and checked swing. then i added a constraint to the bottom chain on z axis and now its much better then it was before
YES!!! Thank you!!!! Flawless Tutorial
Great vid! Thank you. I was spending too much time in blender for the type of chain I need and the whole time I could of done it in unreal. Very very cool tutorial. Thanks again!!!
great stuff , thank you!
nicee tutorial thanks for sharing
YOur are amazzziiiing Bro!Thanks!
Wow thanks so much for this!
Thanks for your tutorial vid. 👍👌
Nice!
Nice channel, very clean and smooth !
hey alex how would i make it curve like a necklace... thats my end goal is to make a necklace with physics for the metahumans
Song is really good though
I've managed to procedurally generate physical constraints, let me know if you are still interested.
For some reason my chain is stretching vertically. Any idea why?
TEHRE IS ERROR AS WE ARE NOT ABLE TO ENABLE STIMULATE PHYSISCS FOR STATIC MESH,
One of those:
1- The Mesh doesn not have its collisions enabled.
2- The Mesh doesn not have Simulate Physics enabled.
3- The Mesh transform is not set to movable.
4- The Mesh doesn't have a Simple Collision generated for it.
So i am not able to see the axis gizmo during simulated play, also if i use transform in detail panel to rotate(since i cant see rotation gizmo) the second chain mesh just falls down on the ground. Please help
I don't know what's going on, every tutorial that I follow to the letter doesn't work for me. damn it
The links get loose if you move fast, how do you set it to be more stable ?
You are right, I also noticed during the first test that when moving quickly, or if the character touches the chain in the game, it seems to break and starts to spin quickly and chaotically
I think it is better to use a geometry collection instead ,there is a sample in the samples of the engine
@@juaxix Thanks, I'll google it to learn more about it. I used the knowledge from this lesson to attach lighting to the ceiling, like a chandelier or an oil lamp. Through one connection. One connection does not cause an error and works correctly.
@@juaxix I tried geometry collection and it was also unstable unless using large meshes
hey, bro. can you tell me how to show Transform Tool and using it to move actor when playing?
How to make it 2D only?
I Found it out, you have to select all meshes and go to Physics > Constraints > tick Lock Position X or Y
Instructions would've been nice. I'm working on learning Unreal and just trying to follow along without instructions is very difficult when you're new.
use cable can realize this
Fire. No words needed. Great music
Def be crediting you if this works like I want!
