How would you compare dropset 2 to bsr 4, i own a bsr4.. should i get the dropset, they are on sale, primary goal is bodybuilding along with light cardio of 20-25 min
I LOVE my reign 6s. They're amazing. So much better than the 5s. I do think I could have sized down half a size maybe but I love them. I bodybuild but I love the low profile and the look of them. I think this is under armours best training shoe I've used (reign 4, 5, 6 and project rock 1 and 2). They edged out ny reign 4s which I loved as well.
I’ve always my felt that my Reigns ran big until they were broken in. I think it has to do with the lack of toe spring compared to a running shoe. I feel like my 6’s haven’t quite broken in to where they should be by now, and I think it has to do with the drop-in midsole and lack of volume in the upper. The drop in midsole feels more like a polyurethane than an injected foam. Keyword being THINK here lol. I really like the comfort underfoot of the 6’s and I think UA is close to the perfect trainer.
Reign 6 are in the mail, I trust they'll be awesome! I'll be getting back into proper lower body work this summer after a series of leg/foot surgeries. Cheers for your in-depth reviews and training vids, Jake.
I haven't had any issues yet! I'd also suggest looking at the product page's reviews for any cases where someone has had some gripes or on my individual review's comments. If I'm not mistaken I think if I've only seen one comment about durability issues in the Reign 6 but it was an issue that should get them replaced
Nike shoes normally fit okay length wise for me, but width wise usually narrow and tight. I am leaning towards UA tribase 6 over adidas dropset 2, but the width of UA is making me hesitant. How much narrower is UA vs the adidas? It looks like UA sizing is .5 smaller than adidas. I would probably get the dropset 2 in size 13. Do you think UA size 14 would be okay fit? I live in Asia so I would not be able to buy and return for sizing.
Wonder if the Nike metcon X will be similar to 9 or if they redesign it, since it seems to be a little unpopular? Given so much competition it would make sense.
Likely similar to the 9 knowing Nike. They build these shoes yearrrrsss out so if a model doesn't crush they're often already committed to a similar ish shoe in this case since they do major changes every other model
Hi Jake, regarding the fit of the reign 6, i have the following question: I have narrow feet, and currently, I am wearing UA Reign 4s in EU size 43, should I bis the Reign 6 in the same size? Thanks in advance.
I have the 4s as well and I feel like I'm in-between a us size 9.5 and 10. I got the 10s to be safe and I'm happy I did. I feel like the 9.5 could have been to tight.
Do you think the Dropset 2 has enough support for feet with high arches? I currently use flat sneakers with SuperFeet insoles, but want to upgrade to a shoe designed for lifting.
Hello friend, I'm coming back to you with a question, I bought the Reign 6 to have more comfort as the Nano I don't see that it has much support on the ankle, I notice that the ankle is very free, is that bad for doing basic exercises such as deadlifts, squats, presses? or is it something that is not at all important? Thank you for your wise words.
I have wider feet and currently have the Altra SOLSTICE XT 2 which fit me well. I mainly do cross fit and was eyeing the Reign 6. Are the widths and toe boxes of the two shoes comparable?
Altra will be wider throughout the toe box. Simialar midfoots, though! Worth trying if you can cop them from UA and return, though. Reign is a stronger shoe overall so if they fit it's a win win!
Hi Jake, I don’t know whats the right call, but I need a shoe! I’ve been squating and deadlifting barefoot recently because the only “gym” shoes I got left are my UA hovr phantom 3 which are very unstable. I’m on the fence for one of these shoes but oh man the desecion is tough. Overall, for someone who prefers barefoot squatting and deadlifting, I presume you’d recommend the tribase 6, yes? I primarily focus on weightlifting, no cross training or running (the hovr 3 are in perfect condition so I’ll stick with those for that). If you could help me make a final desecion I’d be very greatful. Thanks man!
Hello friend, thanks for your videos, you are the best. Can you help me choose between these two kings of footwear. I want them to alternate cross training, functional training and weights in the gym, deadlifts, squats, press... I'm a 95k heavy guy and I have very little stability, somewhat wide feet and sometimes I alternate some strength training with cardiovascular exercise, which one do you think is more suitable for this? Thanks for your time
Hi sir, thank you for very nice video. You have 44,5 in under armour and I wonder what size do you wear in nike? Is it 43,5 size in nike ? Because I don t have oportunity to try these and under atmour says that you should buy 1 size bigger than adidas and nike size. Thank you
Reign 6 for the win. LOL I'm loving reign 6, in and out of the gym. One day this would be cool to see a March madness bracket style collection of videos for training shoes. Winner comes from your opinion and or fan voting. Similar to MKBHD's Blind smartphone camera test.
@@thatfitfriend thx for answering my questions 🫡. Ok then so, between the 2, which do you recommend if I’m going more towards lifting, normal and heavy squats but no 1 rep pr’s, lunges, leg press, RDL’s and zero CrossFit. I do want to progress on my lifts as I’m an advanced lifter, I’m not just a causal gym goes, what else… the range of my hip mobility is fair I’d say. It’s not easy for me to go all the way down cause my upper knees be hurting at 26 but I can do it if I spend a good amount of time warming up. I think that’s all you need right? I don’t want squatting shoes though.
@@thatfitfriendthankfully the Dropsets were just a hair wider and are working out great! The toe box pinches a bit during lunges, but loving them for my barbell lifts. So glad you gave them the coverage you did so that I knew about them!
i just got both the reign 6 and the adidas dropset trainer 2, personally I'd go for the reign 6. a lot more comfortable compared to the dropset trainer, like really a LOT
I’m so confused what shoe to buy for CrossFit - not so much running, but still active movements during the wod and should be good for powerlifting as well. Snatches etc, give good stability. I’m torn between dropset 2 or Nike Metcon 9.. don’t know what the heel height in Metcon is?? And is worried that 6 will feel very high in the Dropset, for DL example?? 😊🥲😅

I have the dropset 2 and it’s a nice shoe and functional in the gym especially. Looks great too. Highly recommended.
Stoked you're enjoying them!
I just got a dropset2 thanks to one of your video. I use it for lifting and crossfit only. Loving it
Heck yeah! Love to hear that
How would you compare dropset 2 to bsr 4, i own a bsr4.. should i get the dropset, they are on sale, primary goal is bodybuilding along with light cardio of 20-25 min

Best for incline walk ???
Reign 6 will be a little more comfortable, but both can work for incline walking.

Whitch on is wider?
Dropset's forefoot is wider, Reign 6 is wider throughout the midfoot!

I currently use flat sneakers with SuperFeet insoles, but want to upgrade to a shoe designed for lifting.
Yeah, imo! At least worth a try. Go through Adidas or Amazon for easier returns in the event you need to swap em
Jake, the two lines ( i dont know how to describe it) dehind the shoe, beside the toe box are for wall climbs? Congrats for the shoe comparative.
I currently use the Dropset 1 and i really like them, but im looking for an upgrade, what would you recommend?
Dropset 2. Hands down.

Not a bad thing at all - most of that is personal preference. If it's not hindering performance, then I wouldn't stress that at all!
What about these two vs Nano X4?
Depends on the ask! All v diff feels
@@thatfitfriend what about for lifting? I'm guessing the other two are better?

UA TriBase Reign 6! Will be a smidge more plush for cardio work.
