How To Kayak The River Leven (1.1 - 1.3)

The river Leven is one of the Lake District classics and one of the UK's most reliable rivers. It has a perfect way of combining great early-paddling training with fun moves for advanced paddlers too. The rapids each have their own trait and there is some real character to large parts of the river.
This river is in a tourist hotspot in the Lake District, and I want to emphasize that this 'How To' video is aimed at people with whitewater experience or at least experienced guides or friends around. This is not something to just "have a go" at with your two-person touring kayak and a bike helmet!

A great walk through video with really clear guidance to help the beginner and more advanced paddlers to make the most of it. I've run it a couple of times and it would seem to me that you covered all the important stuff without overloading the viewer with too much information.

Haha I was calling myself out! I was worried about landing in the hole with my brand new (to me) gopro pole on so I was over cautious and ended up smacking the wall twice in an attempt to get a good shot of the line. But it worked out OK as it was a useful demonstration of the right side not being too scary!
But I'm glad I'm not the only one to make things worse on round two 😉
