Wardlow is someone the fans can properly get behind... His sells are awesome, getting better overall in the ring, working well with other stars, good feuds and storylines.

Wardlow is genuinely a home grown talent for AEW. They need to take this guy to the top.
Matches like this will keep him in the midcard. Without MJF around to protect him from TK's crap booking, Wardlow is dead meat, regardless of how good he could be if he had a smart mentor to look out for him.

This selling against OC proves it true.

At least when Regal buried Goldberg he was 6’3 240 pounds. Orange Cassidy took Wardlow to deep waters. Way to bury your tnt champion Tony! Not even MJF put up that much of a fight!

This is great. Wardlow doing defenses week after week at Dynamite is a proper step to elevate the AEW TNT Championship. All 3 times OC challenged for it were fun to watch.

Actually if the title is defended every single week then it takes away from the value and mystique of it, as it isn’t special anymore. We can still see the champion each week in angles or interviews or matches , but if it is defended every week it becomes “just another match” and the title that means nothin because it’s on every week.
Have it defended when appropriate depending on the booking and story in question. Make it make sense and mean something .
Also don’t have the champion selling so much to a guy who is hard to impossible to take serious or as a serious challenger to a monster like wardlow .

His selling is great, his style is unique and his offence is explosive. And I didnt even start to say anything about his character and crowd-connection.

Nah, I know I was complaining about Orange having to lose another title match coming off hot from a feud/other stellar matches but this was fun as hell. Wardlow did such a good job with the comedic sports and Orange looked worthy of a title shot. Idk man, OC has had a hell of a year despite his injury

OC has been in enough match of the night contenders that it’s pretty clear that he knows how to put a match together with anyone. Good as the gimmick is he clearly really knows what he’s doing

I think the same can be said for Wardlow
They are both guys people might overlook for different reasons, Orange because they don't understand the character, and Wardlow because they just assume he's a dumb muscle head
But both have had some really great matches that have really told great stories. I think they both have great minds for wrestling and their characters.

@@BirdGang6 that he reminds them of themselves. The dude does the same joke and they basically made wardlow competitive with the joke. Yes the 10% mark crowd thinks Orange is the next coming. This is the same company that let Marko Stunt get offense on Lance Archer.
Props to both men for making this a great match. Wardlow is growning more and more personality wise, and Cassidy keeps showing his ability to help put just about anyone over. I almost want to see these two form a tag team at some point - Freshly Bombed for the Tag Titles!

@@MakBot people have a problem with ospreay vs oc because oc is not a competitive talent, he’s a fucking joke with one of the worst gimmicks. He’s always being used to bury wrestlers. Ospreay is an actual talent with good working ability and had to endure a match with someone who’s interesting as a fucking rock.

For the moment, I want to see Wardlow with the gold. The only time I want to see him lose it is when he pushes for a new gold. He is one hell of an athlete and it is time for Wardlow to rise.
Orange Cassidy's entrance to this match was perfect. Especially with Best Friends saying they got to cheat while his music is playing.
A nice action packed match with perfect amount of comedy to make it a all round entertaining

I can't believe lil' Orange Cassidy can go against a guy that kicked 20 men in a handicap match. Truly believable booking, AEW.
Cmon, everybody knows that even "jobber"(to which OC is NOT at this point) class wrestlers are booked to be equal to 5 "security" guys, I will be objective and say that 20 was too excessive, 10 would've proven equally effective while protecting future wrestling opponents

It made no sense to book this match. It certainly didn't benefit Wardlow, who should be the one getting the push here. Orange Cassidy will never be more than a one note joke midcarder. If you think his shtick is funny (after 3 years of the same thing every time I don't see how you could) then great. But Wardlow has the potential to be a real star in professional wrestling. His booking since the MJF match has been atrocious. First he feuded with Smart Mark Sterling... now they have him fighting Orange friggin Cassidy in a super competitive match. If they keep this up they're gonna completely derail any momentum he had. Seems like they're trying pretty hard to do just that. I don't get it...

I wasn't emotionally damaged by the match, I enjoyed every second of it. I loved watching both men. The chainsaw bit was also hilarious. Great match! I like the fact that Orange fought until the end to. I think he was a good first challenge for Wardlow.

This match shows how well OC knows his character. Everything he did was so in character, and even with that he made a compelling match, which truly felt competitive. Loved this match.

Wardlow giving respect to Orange st the end was a beautiful picture to what the Wardlow reign will be like.
Hopefully, Wardlow will make the TNT Championship meaningful again. I'd say he's of to a good start.
With him being so over, I think he will do it some justice. He should do open challenges & body everyone until he finally loses it to Hobbs or Miro.

This should have been a squash match, Wardlow should have powerbombed OC into Oblivion. It would have been the top 10 moments in Dynamite history, like how Brock did with Spike! What a missed opportunity

How was this great? Wardlow looked weak against the Jiffy Lube employee. This was embarrassing and Wardlow lost credibility as a legit beast from this.

Great idea to make Wardlow's first defense against a very unorthodox opponent like OC. He needs to slowly grow into a more complete wrestler and giving him opponents that will keep his matches interesting is the ideal choice.

This match blew my mind
I felt so skeptical about it, that this was too much of a style clash, and that having 2 relatively hot babyfaces face off in what feels like a throwaway opener was going to throw off the crowd, and was going to stop both of their steam in a way
But no, these guys absolutely killed it, they made it work beautifully. Wardlow looked strong as hell, but Orange also brought the fight to Wardlow, and they both got their moments to shine.
The show of respect at the end really made it for me. Amazing match.

That’s what happens when the roster is full of guys who can’t really work. Bunch of characters, bunch of “move-doers,” but very few workers. Wardlow is too green to lead a match, and that’s when you get shit like this. Dude’s a supposed beast, but just had a heavily competitive match with a 170 pound comedy act lmfao

Brodie never got a chance to be as great of a TNT champion as he could have been. If he hadn't got sick, I think his run would have looked a lot like Miro's.

This was a great OC match that still allowed Wardlow to feel powerful and unstoppable.
Alright gotta admit that reversal/counter DDT by Cassidy was just straight up objectively impressive and right on!.
I'm so pleased to see that OC doesn't need change his antiques to fit into bigger pictures. Good that there's a fitting place for everyone in big things of wrestling and AEW is striking a balance there.
Also Wardlow...is Wardlow.
The F10 to me should be his finisher and I don’t think anyone should’ve kicked out of it so early into his title run. I think he should’ve had a biggish title defense with a rival they can find and have them kick out of it in a pay-per-view it would mean more
