I always try to move my fingers "together", so all the lifting motions are together and all the lower motions are together. Otherwise, you're lowering fingers at different times (pinky first and then the d gracenote? In my fingers/head, I want those closing together, not one after the other). But that's me...

Going from A or B to C with the D grace, wouldn’t you just put your pinky down as if you were going from A or B to D, then close to the C?
