When we bought the Airstream Interstate Van two months ago, we never would have dreamed this is where we'd be today. But, here we are. The van is getting towed from our campground in Quincy, California, to who-knows-where since she won't start. Come along with us for this exasperating van life experience now that the van is dead. 🤷♀️

As an Airstream owner I always thought the vans were way over priced but I wanted one - beautiful but way out there -now maybe you guys got the 1 in a 1000 that turned out to be a TURD - a 200,000 plus turd - I guess we will live with our trailer- and can’t wait to see what the future brings you guys 🍻

I don’t know you personally, but I am in tears I feel so upset that you’re going through this. I see Lauren with baby - Daniel trying his best. You don’t deserve this and it’s gotten me so upset I’m in tears. I just want to buy you a new vehicle so you can give this one back. Can't wait to hear what the fix/fixes are for everything. I't most unfortunate what you've had to deal with but I dont think you're up to lemon status. Here in Texas it's one thing breaking three times then written notice for one more attempt. Not sure it applies to a motorhome or just regular vehicles. More than likely does not include motorhomes. Your other repairs seem like normal AS repairs from lack of attention in assemble. I've had my current trailer 3.5 years and usually have something to fix at the end of each outing or during a trip. May your Disney crack heal soon.
In our culture, we sacrifice something when we get something new, like new home, new car, etc. We broke 4 eggs on the tires when we got our new Airstream Atlas in March 😊

This is just so sad and bad. I wonder if the water damage somehow killed your electronics. Daniel, don't worry about showing your distress. This is real life and, right now, it sucks. You, Lauren and Dash will be fine. That's the important thing. Don't know about the van but y'all are fine. Not sure when this was uploaded but praying that Tropical storm Hillary isn't causing any problems for you. Sending prayers for y'all from middle Tennessee.

Oh man, this is too much. Bravo Zulu on your patience and temperment. I will say this, you three deserve some kind of compensation for what you have endured with purchasing this 🍋. I am happy to see that there are people out there to make sure you get to somewhere safely. I am hoping that you will if it's in the cards get a more reliable RV that has more space. You need to get rid of the van and go back to air stream trailer or better yet get a 5th wheel which would be more practical for a family with a toddler.

Are you sure you didn’t get a lemon? I understand the hail damage, but all the other systems damaged, and the emergency brake too? Those are major failures that rendered you ‘dead in the water’ with no way of going anywhere. Good luck. I pray you get everything resolved quickly. Love from Punta Gorda, Florida 💕☀️🌸🌻
I suspect the emergency brake is on a relay and with no chassis battery it's stuck on.

Hi Lauren and Daniel, I can't believe what you guys have been threw with this van. Seriously I don't know I think I'd start looking for a new vehicle. It's pretty and all that but I mean one thing after another! I had so much fun watching baby Dash on this video. He is a little boy now and he was so cute getting involved when the tow truck guy came helping Daddy and I liked him stooping down to watch what the tow truck driver was doing. I mean he's very curious for his age. I'm praying all this ends well for you. I think after you get this all taken care of if you continue to have problems you seriously need to trade this van in because you bought a white lemon. Take care and good luck. Saw a video by another TH-cam couple, LivinRVision, that switched from a Class A to a Airstream 33FB to a Grech, similar to your model, but has a 4 cyl diesel, quieter A/C and same timberline system. It amazing to see difference in cost and mileage. Curious if the wiring and plumbing is similar between Grech and Airstream. Stay strong and keep seeking cool coffee locations. Dash is getting taller and growing out his hair like his parents. 😂

Your emergency brake is broken too! This is all terrible.
You guys have a short in the engine area. The short is by the alternator and connects to the engine. This is my guess. The relays are in question also since they are connected to all of your malfunctions.

When my son was about 2 y old.He is 11 now. He loved to play by the front of the car while I was loading the car. One day when I started the car , everything seamed ok. I drove about 3 miles and window shields stared working like crazy without rain. When I stoped the car, the engine stoped working. After checking the car by our mechanic, the reason of this what happened was :
My son while playing in front of the car placed a couple of coins into CD player slot. This was the reason why the car stopped working. It was costly to repair it and we had to replace a CD player.
This is just what happened to us, it reminds me a little bit of your situation right now….

On the rv is there a emergency starting button I think some do
The ‘auxiliary battery malfunction’, is that the secondary battery that is under the drivers seat? Not the one in front of the drivers seat that you opened up and charged , but the secondary one that is used to get it into neutral, brake off, etc?
Really think you should sell the Airstream Van and purchase an Airstream Trailer (recommend at least a Classic 30') with towing vehicle (Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel). You will find that the van will break down all the time and you will loose your vehicle and home at the same time when the van breaks down.
Check out some of our older videos. We also own a Classic. It has been amazing!!!! So we agree 100 with you.

This is painful to watch. I can’t imagine living this nightmare. We need some update on the resolution from airstream because this is 2 months of complete nonsense.
Are you back in the van yet? I learned just about everything in this video 8 days ago when I saw the "family photo" in the community section. This is almost as painful to watch in little dribs and drabs a week or more later as it was for you guys to live through it I suspect.
So sorry all this going wrong. Hail thing is up to God but this breakdown sucks. The traveling RV vision peeps drive a Gretchen for a few yrs that they love. They’re product testing. Just an FYI. Deff consider a suit to make up for rental loses. Whenever they forecast severe weather w hail..take notice and cover before it hits. Thank God for your Angel... everyone has Uber. Lol. Airstream ought to be ashamed, all that money for this. I read the reviews on the Airstream Atlas and there are a lot of unhappy customers. Get your act together Airstream.

Have you heard from the people at the dealership you bought the van from? I’m just curious as to what they have to say about these crazy major issues? I guess I’m hoping they would say that the van needs to be replaced! ! (Silly me..😂😂)

OMG, well I didn't get to catch y'all live tonight. You both are amazing under that much stress. I am very impressed. I would have gained 10# just from cortisol spikes haha!!!!! First, I have to say Dash is getting soooooo BIG! So dang adorable!!!!!! Okay, now. LEMON LAW!!!! Can you guys just have Mercedes pay you for all the coating you have had done and give you a new unit? Maybe fly back to Wyoming and get it from them? Idk about Cali, they have so many taxes even if you live somewhere else. Anyway. Enjoy the hotel shower and wonder local 😉. Oh BTW. I am having my first granddaughter in December too go with my 3 grandsons!!!!!! Yaaaaaay, finally a girl!!!!!!

I am so confused about your situation. My wife and I both actually. Did I miss something. Did you actually try replacing your two chassis batteries? And that did not work? We enjoy watching your channel. We remember that your batteries had been drained to dead previously, That was the house batteries and that caused your fridge to stop functioning and led to a very unpleasant nasty situation. Was your Chassis batteries over discharged at the Airstream dealership. If so are they owning up to any of your situation as well. Personally I think that any trailer, van camper, should be parked into a repair parking that has shore power, so that the batteries are not abused. Honestly I think that a dealership should also have the same while units are sitting awaiting sale. Please advise whether you had made an effort to replace your batteries. Seems like a TH-cam video and and $500 max for two Chassis batteries would have been the first thing to try. But that may not have made for a dramatic storyline.
Get a Gretch. Use the lemon laws of Florida. Be done with the demon Van. ;).

Dash loves the cold. 😉 We’re pretty sure he’d pay on a bed of ice. He peels his clothes off every chance he gets. 🤣 But in all seriousness, we just had them in from earlier. We put them on to go to the campground toilets.
Return the van tell airstream you were given a lemon. Get a truck and a classic airstream.
We also own a Classic and F250. That combination had been amazing!
