@ Every medium has made people dumber. Reading meant not memorising information, as with an oral tradition. They are mistaken if they think making us all stupider isn't going to blow up in their faces.
Everyone, we're removing pineapples from all stores now. People have been cutting their lips on the sharp parts. Don't you still have forever chemicals in foods by the way?
coles was the worst of the price gougers, then they started treating everyone like criminals by default installing their new security gates and recording peoples faces showing it to them when the machine has a minor malfunction, the gates don't always open and waste your time. I refuse to shop at coles anymore.
This is a horrible thing to happen, I can't even understand why someone would do this, but removing knife sales from a supermarket doesn't make sense as a response.
This just pisses me right off. The promotional knives on display (Smeg knife, fly buys promotion) I will tell you was packaged so heavily & thoroughly with thick plastic, it took me at least 5 minutes to unpack one knife & get to the knife. This little bastard just wanted to hurt someone. Don't penalise the rest of the good people. The Smeg knife promotion was absolutely fabulous quality & a lot of people got excited about building their quality new knife block from valued customer promotional points, right before Christmas. This is not Coles fault & I dearly hope the lady worker pulls through ❤
as was proven in the UK AND AUSTRALIA they took our guns and we warned that people would use anything available and they do Preventing honest people from Buying what they need only forces people like me to shop elsewhere it has been nearly 4 since I shopped in Coles My Question was the Knife from coles or did he bring it with him
The cops are saying it was done with a knife he took off the shelf and not one he brought in with him. Not saying it's true but that's what the cops are saying. Hopefully, we'll find out a lot more when it gets to court.
I have 4 of those Smeg knives. It took me 10 minutes the first time to figure out how to get it out of its packaging using scissors and another knife. The last two I asked my son to get them out. Each one is in a moulded plastic casing that's curved and hard to get through and then that is in another tough plastic box. The only easy bit is the cardboard around it all. When all the packaging is off, then you have to actually jimmy the knife out of its "skin tight" moulded case. I don't know how a kid could just get one out of the packaging without being noticed.
Government should impose a strict rules on Coles because they misbehave, treat shoppers on a very rude way. This type of company must not be in Australia.
The poor Coles woman will not get deserved justice because the justice system does not work. It did not work for the kids former victim. This video is confirming g That the knife was from the Cole’s shelf stock - surprising release of evidence so early ???
Unbelievable how problem are treated in Australia . Lack of safety in a supermarket turns into the ban of an essential item on the shelves As if a person could not walk in any supermarket with a nife.
The problem is poverty, homelessness, no future, mental illness from the impossible conditions and it has been caused deliberately because the way Australia is - it's not an accident. Having a home is a right, it should never be a business. Homes and education create a powerful, protected nation.
Actually i agree w this. As a person working with mentally ill ppl i saw this problem happening . Coles had their knives right at the front. A schizophrenic person looks at that and gets intrisive thoights. Plz understand theres more and more unstable ppl walking around.
They put the knives on a shelf behind the change machine it doesn't stop anyone from getting access to them also it doesn't stop this from happening because people can just get them elsewhere.
Fair call, it says more about the hostile culture developing amongst youths and parental guidance not an over reaction by super markets. Convenience for politicians, billionaires and realestate agents, souless for young thriving minds, join the dots.
Do we know if the weapon used came from the store or was brought in by the perpetrator? Most stores don’t have metal detectors at the entrance or security guards. If safety is an issue, why not lock up dangerous items like knives, various chemicals & large solid items (like a wooden butcher block) behind the counter - like we do with cigarettes- and require sales to adults only?
It’s shocking that they had these available to anybody to take hold of. It’s illegal to carry a knife but they have them on display. What the hell were they thinking. Coles should be charged for lack of duty of care to staff and customers.
Ps. The lack of critical thinking skills exhibited in the comments is shocking in Australia. Pick up your bloody standards and have something worthy to say, you weren't educated in some underfunded developing world class room.

The issue isn't knives being sold in supermarkets. The issue is the lack of punishment from the justice system on serious crimes.
No, the real issue is drugs, alcohol, mental health and bad parenting.
