In this video today we will see how to make the text messages private on iPhone so that the preview won't be seen on the home screen of your iPhone. For that one we will go to "settings". Then we will select "Notifications". We will scroll down and we will select "messages". If you want to totally hide the messages then what you do is you will disable this option "Allow notifications". Now the other option for you is to select "show previews" and then select the option either "when unlocked" or "never". Don't select this option "always". Either select any one of these two options so that it will be hidden from the main screen of your iPhone. Now what if you want to hide the text message alert from a particular person only then in that case you will go to text message and suppose if you want to hide the text messages alert from this particular contact then what you do is, swipe this message to the left. Tap on this bell icon. So once you do it you can see there is a crescent moon icon in front of the contact and whenever this contact will send you a message the text message alert will be hidden. Now later on if you want to get the text message alert from that particular contact again, what you have to do is you have to swipe this contact to the left and then you have to enable this bell icon now. What if you don't want to show the previews of the text messages from unknown numbers. In that case what you can do, you can go to "settings" here. You can scroll down and then you can go to "messages". Then scroll down and you have the option here "Filter unknown senders". So once you enable this option filter unknown senders then if you get the text messages from the numbers that are not saved in your iPhone then they are kept separate from the text messages that you receive from those person whose contacts are saved in your iPhone.
