No mention of some of his biggest successes, such as Inspector Renault in "Casablanca", as Senator Joe Paine in "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington", and as Prince John in "Adventures of Robin Hood"! OK, you did mention the last one, but he was such a deliciously evil villain in that movie! And in the first, he uttered some famous movie lines, such as "I'm shocked. Bette certainly had an interesting life! Although like many, she probably thought many times that it was even boring!
She was great in so many movies!!! Claude always gave a strong performance!
It's nice to see celebrities that choose a humble cemeteries as their final resting place ❤
Shocked to find that gambling is going on in here!" and "Round up the usual suspects." He was one of the last of those classy British actors, with classic voices and carriage. Errol Flynn, Leslie Howard, Laurence Olivier, Rex Harrison and the like. Thank you for visiting him in New Hampshire, and I am one of those who are amazed that he would wind up in a small town cemetery, and am glad I know his back story now. I wonder if the name New Hampshire had anything to do with his decision to live and be buried there. Reminder of the auld sod, perhaps?
another excellent job!!
Great video and a Great Actor. Most old movies are better then new ones. Now I want to watch some of the older version again. Rest in Peace.❤🇺🇸
Oh my gosh I loved the Wolf man movie! Claude Rains he was Amazing Rest in Sir ! Thank you so much for doing this wonderful Actor!
My favorite movie with Claude Rains is "Kings Row." A beautiful movie with a wonderful cast. Ronald Reagan was also in it. The music in the picture is probably my favorite. Worth seeing. Claude was excellent in that movie like he was in most of his films. He had a wonderful speaking voice. Thank you for doing this vlog. Your vlogs are always so interesting. Thanks again, until your next adventure, take care my dear friend.
I agree, Mark.
i remember those old movies. Basil Rathbone was Sherlock Holmes. my first horror movies was Dracula with Bela. he was my favorite actor from that bygone era. i remember i wasn't very old & watching Dracula with my dad. when Bela said good evening, it scared the crude out of me. the invisible man was next. i loved Claude Rains. i was hooked on the real horror movies. The wolfman, creature from the black lagoon. my dad passed last year. i want to give kudos to you for sharing the love of those old movies with your children. nothing like watching Claude, Bela, Lon & all those who have passed that made those movies great. thanks for remembering Claude Rains, he doesn't get much love like the others.
That was a nice one Ron thanks x
Beautiful small cemetery. What an amazing actor. My favorite movie of his was Casablanca. Thanks for sharing this video
Every time The Wolfman comes on I watch it.
Great Video Ron! It's great to see you smile while recalling a wonderful memory of you and your son. We don't get to see you smile often because you're usually dealing with horrfic stories about people who have been viciously murdered. I LOVE the invisible man, Griffin! I was so fascinated with the idea of becoming invisible as a child after I saw that movie. You did such a fantastic job telling his story. Thank you for sharing your visit to his and his wife's graves. May he and his wife rest in peace.

Thank you for this wonderful note! 👍
@@FacesoftheForgotten I too noticed the bright smile. Looks great on you.
We're glad you made the drive as well, thank you once again. Claude and Robert Montgomery...here comes Mr Jordon, .....a favorite for sure
Pretty little cemetery. Thanks for taking us along, Ron. Very interesting.
He was a great actor and very versatile. My first film I watched with Claude Rains was the Phantom of the opera 1943. That was 36 years ago when I was 10 years old and I have admired him and his films ever since. Interesting when you mentioned him working as a call boy in the Theatre as a child. That Theatre was Her Majesties Theatre in London. Home to the musical version of the Phantom.of the opera.
I did the same with my daddy who was born in 1938, I in 1970. ALL of the old greats from Universal as well as Abbott & Costello, Laurel & Hardy, and Martin & Lewis just to name a few. ☺️
