I now pay my credit card in full monthly. Back in 2015 when things got hard for me and I started buying gas and food with my credit cards, I knew I was in huge trouble. Today, I'm not paying 29% on every dollar, so I buy what I know I can pay in full when the statement comes.
Thanks, Clark. No high-interest credit card debt for me. I only use credit cards for the 0% intro APR for (18 and 21) months for big-ticket items. If I need another big-ticket item, I will open another 0% intro APR for (18 and 21) months credit card. After that, I only used the credit card on low-cost items and paid it off. I go to furniture stores for my mattress, dining set, and leather sectional and get their (48 or 60) months of no interest. I opened the Best Buy O% interest for 18 months for my new computer. Good credit feels lovely!
I worry about opening and closing accounts. Paying interest is something I realized, I do not have to pay in most cases. But I guess applying for a new account every 1.6 to 2 yrs to get 0% may not hurt my credit.
I've been using my CC for decades to pay for all my expenses - and pay it off every month. It's safer than a debit card, check, or cash. All it takes is some financial discipline. Someone told me they didn't want to use a CC because they didn't want to get in debt. My response was "why should using a CC be any different than using your debit card?"
I bought from the polo outlet last Christmas. I returned some items and it was a nightmare. They kept asking for my email and phone number and address. Said it was required for a return. I ‘ ve never given that store my personal info. NEVER! I had my receipt and original form of payment and they still demanded my info to complete the return. I ended up giving them fake info(ie. 123 Main Street). I was so frustrated that I won’t shop there again.
Surprised they didn't ask to scan your ID. Because a lot of retailers are losing so much money to theft and fraudulent returns of stolen merchandise, they have implemented a policy to track every person who makes a return. If you return more than a certain amount of money within a certain defined time period, they will reject your return. This is why they were capturing so much of your personal information. Unfortunately, good people with legit returns have to suffer because of the few bad criminals. 💚
Oh Clark donating to Goodwill is like donating to you. they are cash cows, you check where all their money goes especailly when they want to guilt you in to do you want to round up They are so savy look at how they work, they are so detailed, now mind you all things are donated they have no product expense and they are heigher than if you would be an antique dealer or reseller. Millions and millions maybe billion they are making and i am sure its not all going to the good of others
Thanks Clark and Krista. I needed to hear the message of not getting caught up in the sales and adding more to credit card debt. It helped me to stay focused.
Meanwhile I just received some face cream yesterday from Amazon already opened and half gone and I have to return it to get a refund. I won’t be buying anymore personal care items from Amazon.
I just went to sams they said you have 7 days to get the money back on the sale item. I bought a item in store went on sale . I didn't think to try to return it's only 30 days ago I bought it .
I ordered shoes online from Macys. Excited when the box arrived, opened it…😊 Imagine my surprise and bewilderment when I looked inside the box at the 2 LEFT shoes 👞 👞 they sent 😮.
#TeamClarkRocks. Enjoying the storytelling. Also, Amazon should have paid you a disposal fee. When they didn't, you should have asked for a disposal fee, Clark. #Cheerz
Hey Clark.. It is time to do a longer segment on norelco shaver blades. I chg my blades every two years & you can feel the difference. I think you should order new blades for your shaver & see if you can feel the difference. I got ripped off 5 years ago when I bought blades off of Amazon at the lowest price. They were knock offs. I then ordered blades from Target & they were better than my original 2yr old blades in my shaver. I think you should order from 3 or 4 different sellers & see if you can tell the difference of blades verse Target selling original Norelco blades. You can find out if sellers are ripping you off with counter fit blades that are bad!! Thanks again for whst you & the team do!
Walmart had me return and rebuy a MATTRESS of all things rather than credit me $60 for a price drop (they paid shipping for both deliveries and the return)
I had a similar Sam's Club "price adjustment" experience with an 8'x8' outdoor shed last summer that went on sale the following month after purchase. Used Sam's toll-free customer service phone number. $287.65 credited back to my Citi card. Worth the 15 minute call.
Clark, why are credit card rates so high in relation to what the banks are paying? Even Fidelity only pays 4.5%. It seems as though credit card rates should be 8% or 10%. 25% is beyond insane.
Been using electric razors for 40 years. All of them will say you should replace the blades every 6 months, which is ridiculous. I find that after about 2 to 3 years I notice them not quite as sharp, but they still do the job. I eventually buy a new razor every 5 years or so because the rechargeable battery usually goes bad, but have never bought new blades. I clean them every week and air dry.
Sleep number has been the best mattress for us. I am surprised it is not listed in the Customer report. We tried others from the report and they didn't work out.
All these phone companies like visible you can’t ever never get a real person on line to ask a question. The chat has never been able to Answer y questions. While erizos is expensive I can go to the store and they always solve the problem + also educate me on the phone. Yes it is expensive but to me it is worth the price
Visible Wireless, similar to numerous other companies, employs automated systems (i.e., bots) for customer service, which has drawn significant criticism. As a member of an advisory committee at a local university focused on customer experience, my colleagues and I unanimously concur that these automated systems severely detract from the overall customer experience and erode goodwill. I transitioned from Verizon to its subsidiary, Visible Wireless, approximately 15 months ago and have not encountered any issues with audio quality or service availability, even during the extensive power outages in Houston that occurred last summer due to a hurricane. I pay $25 per month for each line with Visible Wireless, a fee that includes all taxes and additional charges. In my assessment, switching to subsidiary companies is advantageous, as they operate on the same network and provide quality equivalent to that of Verizon. So there.

Same here. However, Dave Ramsey would remind us that we're (probably) still spending more than we should--due to the ease of using credit cards.
This is how you do it! 💚
@@kaohsiung99 We would agree! 💚
J. Jill has a terrible return policy. It cost me about $20 to return one item that didn’t fit. I will not buy from J.Jill anymore.

I have stopped buying those type of items from Amazon as well. I worry about the authenticity of the product, esp from third party sellers
was it from a third party seller or sold from Amazon directly?

I change my rotary shaving blades about once a year. And make sure you get a quality replacement. There are some cheap junky ones out there.

I use my American Express card which offers return protection if the vendor won’t accept any returns within 90 days
Always good credit card advise

Chinamart aka walmart is THE WORST.
