The level of confidence and fluidity that this guy demonstrates with Photoshop and Illustrator is simply off the charts! Keep teaching, keep creating. Welcome back.
I love your tutorials, you are one of the best I see,... just one detail,...The shape of the soccer ball is based on a truncated icosahedron that has 20 hexagons and 12 pentagons in its design. The Pentagons would be black and the hexagons white....
Good to see you back. 🥰 We had a conversation over mail, then I there was another big break, but I sticked to tutvid. It's great to see you back, really
And just another great Tutorial from you Nathaniel! Thank you so much. It's just fun to watch and a ton of things that I can learn from you. I would be very interested in a HUGE and in depth tutorial about the shape builder tool- in case you're looking for new topics. I believe it's such a powerful tool. Again, thanks for your time producing that brilliant content!
Hey, wanted to say your videos help a lot when I dont get certain things with illustrator! I'm formally studying design now after self teaching myself After effects, and sometimes I get stuck in the mindset of how to build a shape in After Effects, but I physically cant do the same process in illustrator. You almost always have the perfect video for whatever that issue is then 🙏 Ps, one thing has eluded me though, maybe you could make a vid of it 👀. Ive been trying to make a shape thats a circle with a sine wave going along it (so its a wavy circle) but also changing the amplitude as it goes around (wavy circle thats less wavy on one side, more wavy on the opposite side). Maybe give it a shot if you want the challenge, i havent gotten a result that isnt too destructive or tough to edit :/
Hey there, I didn't realize you were back. Welcome back! I remember over a year ago you making a where have I been video. Are you going to make a sequel?
Just a sidenote to you new guys on illusttrator like myself: If you make the longest side of the triangle, half the size of the ellipse, it will fit perfect into the ellipse. Example: Ellipse 300/300, Triangle: 150/75 or 75/150.
Gonna leave an annoying "um ... actually ..." kind of comment here. If you look at photos of soccer balls, you'll notice that the black patches are pentagons. That's because in real 3-dimensional life, you could never patch a spherical ball together from just hexagons. It wouldn't be "round enough".
One question nobody answers...Can someone please: " HOW DO YOU KNOW THESE CIRCLES AND TRIANGLES WILL BE USED LIKE THIS TO CREATE ANY SHAPE..?? I just can't figured out....How they create any grid to create any logo or shape?
LOL, a football. Interesting how soccer is all-of-a(the)-sudden being pushed on everyone, the cool thing to like and talk about--because global. Anyway, great tutorials, but I'll skip this one. Freedom!

Do you know if I would be able to do all this on iPad Pro illustrator app?

Great tutorial! I would suggest next time using different colors for the guides etc to better showcase the concept :)

Real soccer ball is made up PENTAGONS and hexagons, not all hexagons.

...certain types of people who don't like sports are now hyping soccer. Why?
that's a soccer ball, not a football
So just because Americans call it soccer, everybody should call it soccer? It is a fucking football!
*8 minutes in with a long winded process* "Just a little quick and easy way to create a football, gtfo xDDDD
