It's an awesome anime
At 0:15 this shot reminded me of something. It’s reminds me of how manipulative Sebastian can be. You see him smiling at Ciel likes nothing is wrong, but you know his intentions. The lyrics “I’ve been dancing with the devil, he was always good to me” just add to that sense of false security that Sebastian gives you when you know his true intentions.

this is so deep it hurts. like honestly no offence to the Sebastian fangirls, but I think most of us liked him because he is one of the most good looking characters and we overlooked he is a starving demonic creature who is guarding his food while wearing a pretty skin costume to blend in with the humans

Yes he is manipulative but the thing is, he is supposed to be one. He is a demon hungry for souls. I don't know why people dislike him that much because he is supposed to be evil. That's the whole point, isn't it. Why would a demon be nice? The creators are showing how it would be having a demon as a butler. He has to obey his master at any cost, they have a contract too. He is cold when murdering someone because, well he is a demon that doesn't care about lives. This is what a demon is supposed to be, a cruel, manipulative, evil creature! Sorry if I sound mean, I'm just saying my opinion :P

@@katherineirene6347 This does not make it right. First off, the anime is not canon. Secondly, Ciel still looks 14. This does not change anything. Even in Ciel lives on forever he will still look 14. So until he learns how to change his appearance, as Sebastian can, I will remain against this ship.

@@duskcrest3485 Thing is, the anime is canon. Yana and her editor supervised the series and gave their approval for its content. You can't just shove whatever you want in an adaptation that is profiting out of copyrighted material without consulting who owns the rights to it in the first place.
Of course the anime differs vastly from the manga source, that is a more "official" version of the story being the original one, but this doesn't erase the fact that the animated series is approved and recognized as part of the Kuroshitsuji brand as a whole.
And it wouldn't make sense for demon!Ciel to not be able to change his appearance at will, since all demons in Kuroverse can. Just because they didn't show it in the anime it doesn't mean that he can't do it. But what appearance has to do with pedophilia anyways? There are people that look underage but aren't, are they minors just because they look younger? Yes, this doesn't apply to Ciel because his appearance and age will temporarily match in his demon form, but if he were to live forever and mantain the same physical features he wouldn't be a child regardless, it's the inside that counts.

The unfortunate truth is that often times, writers don't get much of a say in what appears in the on-screen movie or TV adaptions of their works. They sign away the rights to it early on and the producers (depending on the contract) can take as many "creative liberties" as they wish.
As for the demon-Ciel plot line... besides how totally flawed and full of plot-holes it is (I mean seriously!), I will agree that is is better than having a 14 year old kid in an intimate relationship. But that is only AFTER he grows older. Then there is still the issue that demons can't love. Ciel would be stuck in a sadistic and toxic relationship. His very own pride would prevent him from dating his butler.
I love Sebastian so much so that I'm willing to strike a deal ☺️😜😂
