@@frandarn lol
It was so nice of Cory's parents to name him after this song
I think this is on every Cory Wong video...as it should be. I find this humorous.
lmao
Arty Is Balanced OMG ACTUALLY YOU’RE RIGHT, VULFPECK STOLE THIS JOKE
Once in a while somebody's comment makes my day. Like this one...
Yeah Cory's brother Dean Town got the short end of the stick
It’s amazing how perfectly they followed the script.
Peak acting right there
I know OP is being fictitious but,
This reminds me, when I showed this to a friend of mine, he legit thought they were 'following the script'. I had to sit him down and explain that they did whatever they wanted and the 'script' was written afterwards
I cant believe you believe this oh maybe because you're dumb

When you get back to a band's songs so often that you know not only the music but also the posts in the comment section.
And the exact things that are on the screen by heart, and the things the crowd cheers haha. Definetely true!
I've gone through this comment section so many times that I've literally memorized this comment

Getting a bunch of Vulf in the autoplay is like sliding into a warm bath.
Ironic that I remember this comment every time I come here
“Dad, why is my sister’s name Rose?”
“Because your mother loves roses.”
“Thanks, Dad.”
“No problem, Cory Wong.”

As a deaf person I’m so thankful that I could experience this song with everyone else thanks to these incredible captions and stage directions. This is what truly sets Vulfpeck apart from other bands

Funny how a song named after the guitarist has the nastiest bass fill i've ever heard at 1:37
Zegarr "nasty" is typically a compliment when referring to funk
That bass fill is absolutely disgusting.
But the song isn't named after the guitarist, the guitarist is named after the song.
I mean, Cory was originally a bass player
nasty is a good thing right? coz it sounds good-
If this is wong I don't want to be right.
Little bit of Grateful Dead lyrics there. Listen to Scarlett Begonias, I ain't never been right but I've never been wrong, seldom turns out the way it does in the song.

Damn right!

Nice pun, and yes
Joe Dart is gonna have some serious neck problems in 10 years
Nah dude his neck will be thicker than his thighs in 10 years time
I'm gonna have serious neck problems in 10 years
yeah, his neck wont fit in normal shirts anymore
Just Check Cory Taylor from Stonesour. He has a neck the Size of my waist
Joe Dart has neck solutions.
Vulfpeck is the band everybody wishes they were part of, but few have the necessary skills
Eh, wrong there lad, most musicians I know can't stand them. Not a decent song, as in SONG have they got, great individual musicians but not a great Band of songs

My wife has forbidden me to play Vulfpeck as I play it continuously so much that anytime I play any music on youtube it always leads me back to Vulfpeck.

I listened to this - my home caught on fire. It is gone now, and I am standing outside with the Fire Department, police and my wife. She is hysterical. The cats are safe. This song is still playing though.
Sucks :)
Go to the bunker down in Minneapolis.
At least it was funky
Probably one of the few bands where the bass player gets laid the most. I would know, I play bass.
These guys are truly amazing musicians. Sorry, but the testosterone level going on here would only grab librarians on their lunchbreaks and 45 year old divorcees looking for young meat.I'm a bass player, too, and Dart admittedly dwarfs my bass skills.
I'm also a bass player, and in my limited experience and observation of other bands, it's usually easiest for bass players to get laid. Girls seem to be kinda disarmed by bass players, probably because we tend to be generally laid back and don't act like prima-donnas about anything because we mostly don't give much of a shit, haha!
@@The_sinner_Jim_Whitney I'm also a bass player and... I don't have anything to add, just wanted to join hehe
Actually, in my opinion, girls don't give a f* what do you play probably.
clako clakson Yeah, I agree. I've just noticed that most bass players tend not to be overly intense, we mostly just want to play music and drink beer and really don't care that much about all the other band and social drama, and it's been my experience that girls tend to like that.
Ale Sharks LOL
I'm slightly upset Jack doesn't have a guitar that says "Strattoncaster"
that bass player one of a kind
But man ya just gotta groove to the beat
joe dart?
no the other bass player

Damn proudly showing that squier headstock starting at 1:11 it is always the quality of the music not the quality of the gear..
patrick I came here for this comment cuz I noticed it after watching this video again. “Is he really playing a squire? Damn.”
Except thats a made in japan squire
pause at 1:30 and spot it's an affinity (big headstock, non-70s format logo, says "affinity" at the end of the headstock, and looks like a single ply pickguard on rosewood board w/c i find pretty quirky). can't tell where in the far east this came from tho
It's probably for home use because hes using another guitar live
Not possible. Def put that sticker on there

Amazing! They even followed the screenplay word for word!
The vibe of this song is just absolutely unreal. Nothing recently written compares.
This album only came out 5 years ago, this is pretty recent
I’m in a band, I’ve tried the Stratton technique where I count off and am silent for the 4. So dope, bass players and keyboardists y’all carry bands of this vein keep it up
A rare document showing mister dart without sunglasses
Damien Bo his bucket-o-wayfarers he gets shipped once a month was late that day.
*Master Dart
A very bad day apparently, one that called for an obscene number of notes piled into a bass fill.
how the fuck do they record so well. Quality is beyond impressive
The recording is average, the players' control of dynamics is just excellent. Modulation of velocity between individual notes is what creates the groove.
low volume is the secret
Okay so yesterday at this time I had never heard of these guys. Today I've already listened to 2 complete live shows and a ton of singles. Gotta say I'm impressed with the musicianship and how much fun they appear to be having. Must be something about the funk....cuz they got the funk and they got the soul.
Instant love for these guys!

This has gotta be one of the most underrated bands i've seen.
in this world of "meh" popular mainstream music, i would say they're getting plenty of recognition! i'm confident they can earn enough for a living and to keep doing this(at least i really hope so). i don't know a single person who doesn't like a good old funky groove, this just refuses to die.
They sold out MSG last year and the videos are hnreal. They are now appropriately rated
They are pretty popular for a funk band
May I interest you in 130grit? Not exactly a band, but they're incredibly underrated

The song that hooked me on Vulfpeck... a whole four days ago.
Almost a whole year later, still my favorite Vulfpeck song.
It's become clear, a week after discovering these guys, that Vulfpeck can answer most of our deepest metaphysical questions.
If Jesus has returned, he'll have wanted to meet Vulfpeck.

You know it's getting funky when Joe's headnods go double time
that bass tone is legendary
Yeah, hard to believe its coming from a Roland Microcube, in the 1st part.
why is this actually good- like, even at the beginning when they talk, it sounds so GOOD
because Jack Stratton's secret superpower is mixing and producing
Instead of stroking their own ego, they are stroking each other's ego.

I tried to replicate that second bass fill and it came up better than expected but deep in my soul I just know it will never sound like joe's. That tone is simply outstanding
1:21 gets me every freaking time
That motherf**king bass line. JESUS CHRIST!
Jack Stratton proves with his Squier that its about the player, not the guitar!
While I agree to an extent, a guitar that is set up well regardless of price will help the player play much better, and a guitar that isn't is going to hold them back. You can set up a squire to play a lot like a "professional" guitar is supposed to play, and you can find outrageously priced and praised instruments that aren't set up well.
Moral of the story: Practice and take care of your instrument. And then practice a bunch more!
not completely. this is an old japanese squier. one of the first squiers made. those old japanese squiers are superior! thats why fender stopped making them in japan because of the extreme good quality it brought the american fenders in danger. thats why prices of old squiers are jacking up right now. i've seen them in mint condition for around 1500 euro. and they will be worth a lot more within the next 10 to 20 years.
Geroge Brooks
LOL that's a japanese squier, they are amazing instruments. I get your point but that was unfortunate lol
@@bartbakker742 True! My father has a Japanese squire and I have an American Fender and i must say I prefer the Squire.
