every album kicks ass (colony is still my favorite though) from lunar strain to sounds of a playground fading. so their sound has changed... i love the fact that they bring something new and original every time. Anders has displayed every aspect of his talent throughout their albums, and they never cease to amaze. IN FLAMES WE FUCKING TRUST- Colorado

@donSparda I can't disagree with u,all In Flames songs are insanely incredible,but in the end of all this war you started it,my opinion is my opinion and you can't change it,I still see Leeches as an awesome great unique song.
@PosetiveBubba Pete and Daniel are both from the Gothenburg-area as well as far as I know, and among that particular community (Gothenburgers born around the mid 70's who listens to heavy metal and knows an instrument) everybody knew someone when a band was short on members

Not really. All their albums are good up to Sounds Of A Playground. Siren Charms and Battles are honestly pretty bland albums, but everything before that is a matter of personal taste. -Lunar Strain is a great raw debut -The Jester Race defined a generation of music -Whoracle is a classic IF album -Colony is their most epic grandeur sounding album -Clayman is a great album that sounded like classic IF while messing around with new ideas -Reroute was a perfect blend of Alternative and Melodic Death, a lot of Jesper's leads sound like they came right out of The Jester Race -Soundtrack was a heavy album with great songs like F(r)iend, My Sweet Shadow, and Monster In A Closet -Come Clarity brought back the spirit of Melodic Death to the forefront of their sound and has some of their most complex fast guitarwork yet -A Sense Of Purpose, well actually, this album was pretty bland. You got me there -Sounds Of A Playground Fading was an amazing Alt Metal album with strong writing, crushing moving rhythms, layered melodies, and flawless execution. Again. Only REALLY questionable albums are A Sense Of Purpose, Siren Charms and Battles.
anders has brought great ideas and a lot of emotion to in flames but his screams were garbage on clayman onwards. his prime was colony. his cleans are tolerable and his melodic screaming is great. but even when you watch live footage from the jester race era his growls are terrible
I like Anders, he's very original, and honest :) It was an experience to hear the story with his words.
