      laser325 Suits weren't cheaper. In fact they were vastly more expensive. Everything was hand made. People would have had a very limited wardrobe, and would have worn them for years. Things would have been repaired, pockets replaced as they wore, jackets relined etc.

    Modern lifeboats, at least on cargo ships, work as the design demonstrated. Completely enclosed and on an upper deck, the crew climbs in, closes the hatch, and it shoots down a steep ramp and flies into the water below. Faster and more accessible than old style open boats, and they contain everything the crew needs for days at sea, including satellite emergency communications gear.

    • @cojones8518
      @cojones8518 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If I'm not mistaken they did use that guys design for lifeboats. It really only became popular when oil companies started building offshore rigs and needed a lifeboat that could launch from their high platforms and keep the crew safe if there was burning oil on the water or in cold waters like the North Atlantic.

    Man can invent many things and achieve much, the only thing they can't get right is to love each other :)

    • @breAnnasmama
      @breAnnasmama 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      barry barnard not true. There are many people who genuinely do love one another. As bad as this world is , don’t lose hope in The fact that people do exist with love in their hearts and a desire to do good and help their fellow man . As sure as I know the lord gave his love to us , he’s allowed us to love one another. Not everyone knows that and it’s sad and beyond disappointing but there still are those who do care for others.

    I currently have a large beard, so I suppose I could zip on one of those beard-caps to keep it dry while swimming. But - why bother? It'll dry on its own, and it's not like it has to be restyled or anything after it gets wet - unlike scalp hair.
