Absolutely nothing like a great induction noise! Drove a little Caterham 660cc once - with its tiny turbo - was the most fun I've had on four wheels in a long time! Had the widest grin on my face everytime I floored the throttle!
I had a Forge hose kit on my old Smart Roadster and that helped the engine note too, it was a nicely made kit. I really believe a nicely tuned induction note can sound better than an exhaust note, less obnoxious for people outside too.
Its a shame that there are no before and after performance figures to see the numbers other than a subjective opinion on the noise. Personally, I doubt that there has been any gain over the stock system as both have the same cold air intake and the foam filter in the canister would put me off immediately because they generally don't work, either filtration or flow. The stock air box will probably be excellent at flow and spend money on a K&N panel filter, you will have great flow, filtration and durability with 1M mile warranty and 40,000ml cleaning routine. You will also find its probably less prone to ingesting water should you go wading. I would have retained the stock filter box, fit it with a K&N and then insulated the existing box and ducts with closed cell insulation to retain the cold air. That package would have improved horsepower and torque.
Good review but it looks like a cheep & nasty bit of kit. I would be happier with the OE induction system; at least you know the filter will be reliable. If your engine has a MAF sensor, be careful with using filters with oil coatings to help filter particles. Keep up the good work.👍

Worldclass! You made place an order for a Jimny after having watched the video… now just have to buy the Forge unit and the other bits and bobs
Glad to hear it 😄

Very true! I'm hesitant to replace the exhaust partly for fear of it being obnoxious, and it sounds nice as it is now.
We LOVE this! 😎

Now replace the exhaust manifold with some extractors and enjoy the performance!
Great content 👍
It might not be "need to have" but it is sure nice to have 😁😉
vtec kicked in yo
Good one! is it rubbing against the AC pipe? 10:50
Any filter or dust filter inside?
Well... Kind of...
There is a black sponge inside of the carbon looking pipe. I believe it could stop insects from getting in intake.
That’s your fuel consumption buggered..you will be playing all the time for the noise

love it but hey the best way to get performance is buy a V8 and get a real car again.... sort your defender please :)
I'd love a V8, but my Defender doesn't have one either 😄
It sounds like Nisse V8 ... or better. 🤣🥰😘
You can never beat a V8 😄
Get it turbo charged
Испортил Джимни.😅
