Felt elated to listen to this beautiful ghazal in the soulful voice of the great Mehdi Hassan Saab, all over again, after a long interlude ! What a beautiful composition it was ! How soulfully did the great Khan Saab perform it ! How beautifully did the tablanawaz and sarengi player and Mehdi Hassan Saab supplement and complement each other ! What a wonderful feeling it has been ! I have enjoyed it thoroughly ! "Bahut Hi Sukun Mila Sunkar !" That's what is called brilliant and matchless singing style ! What's so special with the great Mehdi Hassan Saab was the fact that he could maintain the pristine purity of ragas, while having absolute control over lafz, sur, taal, and loy ! Perhaps, the great Khan Saab was the finest improvisation artist in the World in so far as Ghazal Gayiki is concerned ! He could make the most difficult of the ragas - like Raag Sahera and Raag Darbari - for instance - among others - look pretty simple though their deft handling and appropriate application in his divine creations ! Such was the wizardry of this great Wizard of Music ! Those, who have missed it, have missed many things in life ! Awas Khatti Saab deserves appreciation for his immaculate choice of uploads ! Look forward to listen to many more of the genre in the days to come !

I think you couldn’t hear him saying “Behangam” which is an Urdu word meaning “not-befitting” and that gives the most appropriate description. Please try to listen to other versions of this Ghazal wherein Ustad Mehdi Hassan Khan Saheb has given a detailed story of this Raag and you will appreciate his explanation.

I guess Mehdi saab doesn’t know the meaning of “Vihangam”.
It's not "Vihangam". It's a Persian word used in Urdu "Be Hangam" meaning haphazard, unarranged
Hahahhhhaaa
@@irfankhoso4015 thanks for sharing your top class knowledge , you are a keen observer . Hats off🌹🌹
