Hi Jo. I love all your videos and watch them almost every night. I am new to stamping and Lavinia stamps are all so gorgeous. I was born in England and moved to the U.S. when I was five, but when you mentioned Turkish Delight, it brought back memories because that was my favorite candy when I was a child (with the chocolate of course). Thank you for your friendly way of teaching. You seem like such a genuine person and I am glad I found your channel.
This is so pretty, Jo. It's easy to feel like you can just enter this scene. I hope you and your family had a good Christmas and New Years. I was so excited to find out that Lavinia Stamps had started selling the chocolates that I immediately ordered seven packages and had them shipped to me in the States. Chocolate from the UK is so much better than anything we have over here. I also ordered an iced fruit cake from Walkers (sooo good). I couldn't find a mince pie and ended up ordering a large mince tart with a shortbread crust from an artisanal Italian bakery nearby. My mother is from England, and we grew up following the traditions and enjoying the foods from there. She and my Dad met when he was in the Air Force and was stationed in England. I didn't mean to carry on forever, but there are just certain traditions at Christmas. 🎉
