I need to revisit some of these episodes. I swear, I always thought Derek crying was because of the patient (how the old man survived but the young lady died) and how they both couldn’t be saved. But seeing the clip in this perspective, I see the parallel situation: how he couldn’t have both Meredith and keep his commitment to Addison (so one had to “die”). His breakdown is his realization of that.
If I were his wife and I knew he was crying in the elevator over his mistress, I wouldn't accept him back. have some dignity. when a man doesn't love you anymore, cut the ties, walk away and start anew.
no one cares about it.. let it die in peace. YOU KNOW LIKE THE SHOW. and the comments too. she is one among all the cast that kept it . but now, without derick and all csst fired or killed,,it's just a pot of rotting stew..may season 14 remove the pan and let it die in peace. fond memories of the good and all the old cast and crew members and all that is left., GO IN PEACE !
These were the best episodes the even the storylines were perfect and then it just started going downhill with the deaths and writting the good main characters
Cant understand why Mer even said that.Have pride and self respect.As soon as he left steel your heart up and never go near it again.He treated her soo badly but she also allowed it.
I have been through a bad experience love wise and I was very naïve at the time. I did learn from this but I am now very happy single. There is two sides, when a couple are together are in love with each other, it is wonderful feeling but when it goes badly wrong, it is very painful.
I always liked Addison. I was so excited when she got her own show because I just wanted her to be happy with someone that deserves her, because that absolutely wasn't Derek.
Derek ruined Mer , He has a wife and he didn't even get a divorce w/ Addi . Then he cries? Why are even crying you could of chose Mer??????????? He never loved Addi....
Derek did the right thing to chose Addison Even tho He loved Mer And that’s why I love the exam room sex Scene which was the best thing about that episode
Okay, is anyone here familiar with doctor shifts? I know this isn't even remotely the point of the scene, but I can't fathom the fact that they pulled an allnighter after completing a shift which they often said is like 16 hours (is that even correct?) And than started another shift without rest??? I seriously hope this a just bad accuracy and not a checked fact because that's just horrible and unnormal.

He picked Addison out of obligation. It was in character with Derek’s personality, with his Black and white outlook on what’s right and what’s wrong.
He was wrong. He should have told her that he was legally married. It wouldn’t have mattered but she should have known.
Poor Meredith, her reaction is so sad, when she says "ah, you're staying with her" it´s so sad, i can´t stop crying everytime that i see that scene.
I’ve been in this situation and it Rips your heart out. He came to want me later but I could never not feel like a second choice after that.

Yeah his wife cheated and he move where he meet her and started a relationship but the wife came back and he had to choose between the two
