Complete shock and awe moment. When I signed in this morning and saw the pass graphic with He-Man on it, i immediately said "OH SNAP" (but i didn't say snap). I grew up on MOTU, and this was one of the intellectual properties I suggested they go after. I was confused about the faction at first, since he clearly gives off barbarian vibes, but seeing how they just added 4 with the Asgardians, that may have been faction overkill. Plus, Adam is a prince. Banner Lords would've been a good fit, but that's just nitpicking. Someone is going to find a really creative use for Skeletor, and there'll be a huge love fest with him soon. I'm assigning He-Man an Oppenheimer rating on his nuke power, so hopefully his multipliers don't disappoint. Now, can we get Thundercats?

PLARIUM needs to make an update on skeletor skills because they could be better. His skill 2 needs to be an AOE attack however, his skill 3 is totally okay. If only his skill 2 was an AOE. PLEASE MAKE AN UPDATE PLARIUM!
Was waiting for CCs to finally release content in this haha I was for some reason more annoyed at He-Man being a pass champ than Xena. He seems to be better at first glance though, ignoring stone skin is great. Haven't had a proper look at Skeletor yet, doing it now. We'll get him during the champ chase so that's great, but I hope they didn't increase the required points to account for that. And they really didn't want to give the Barbs another champ 😂 I would also have preferred Skeletor to be an Undead..
I'm not going to lie. I'm an occasional spender. I'll fork out for blue and purple shards every now and then if the price is right. I'll get the 30 day gem deal because 3K gems over 30 days for 10 bucks is worth the money. I'll even drop a little bit for energy if the price is right. But I'm going to definitely drop the 40 bucks for He-man. That kit is nice, especially for the ignore stone skin. Also, Ash, we all know you're going to drop the 40 bucks for He-man as well. Don't deny it! LOL Of course, you might be able to get yourself a Harrier.
They have to pay for the rights to these characters, so they have to charge us for it.. not to mention, what in life is free? It's a gauranteed lego for the price of two sacreds, you could pull two crap epics instead. The xena pass lasted for months so you are also able to use holiday gift money to get him if you want. I'm going to ask Santa for a he-man for Christmas just like i did 40 years ago!
LMFAO love it, man we had both fortresses as kids, course we weatched the show & folks figured we'd love it with the figures. Halloween costume with a shield, sword from the circus was actually better with light up & sound effects from Ringling bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus vendors back in the 80s, got a lot of action figures when they were cheap too BUUUUTTTT not long after it was Turtle craze so He-man kinda lost their status a bit sadly. 80s & 90s were some of the best times to be a kid growing up.

He-Man might not necessarily be behind a pay wall only. I do remember Xena being in a few shard events during her champion pass. So, it could be that some people might be able to get him for ancients or sacreds or whatever. Maybe champ chase or summon rush for Stokk will have him as a progressive. Probably they'll wait though and do an event after the fusion during the lull period between fusions
Considering how much money I've spent on primal shards to get all blues and void shards but with no Seer in sight, I'm honestly fine with the champion pass. I'm sure I'll be in the minority here but I'm excited for it. I never seem to have enough resources or time to complete fusions when they come around or decks of fate or summoning events without also spending money so I'll take the guaranteed champion pass. It's also on for a long time so I can save up as needed for it. Also, maybe I'm missing something but Skeletor's kit looks really good to me! I'm amped about him too.
I'm stoked for this. He-man was my favorite cartoon in the 80's. I didn't purchase the Xena pass, even though I was a fan when the show was out, but I won't pass this one up. I'm sure there will be shard events as well. There were multiple 10x events for Xena.
Well, I actually think Skeletor's kit is pretty awesome. To be able to actively place Petrification (even if only single target) is incredible. Especially when you consider being able to place on support champions that cleanse. Mithrala requires your allies be attacked, but plenty of support champions can avoid the petrification with non-attacking abilities. Skeletor can target a support champion for Petrification. Also, his A1 with 100% chance to increase debuff durations is crazy good.
Another great YT thank you, Ash. Clever marketing, the whole reason Skeletor is free, is to make you (& any completionists/collectors) feel compelled to buy the other half of the set. Also, why is no-one talking about the Chat Killer that is still with us? No-one in-game likes the relentless Global Recruitment Spam.

Yeah, they got me with both characters and yes, i am actually glad that He-Man is a "P2W" character so i can just get him without too much effort. This also breaks my 1.5 years of f2p as well. Just like you I was raised waking up and watching He-Man every Saturday morning and although I'm thrilled to be able to get skeletor, it blows that it cost 40 bucks which I don't have to get He-Man
They will have shard events for him if I’m not mistaken and it’s cheaper than last year. It’s raid after all, they could have made it more expensive with no shard events for it at all. Besides, how much time(time=money)in game earning shards and money outside the game have people spent on getting Georgid , Ailil(before they found out he was trash), Fatalis and Ieyasu just for the opportunity to nab an ignore Stoneskin champion. There is always a barrier to entry for everything. In this game it’s usually months of saving with no guarantee on outcome. If his multipliers are good to decent the event is pretty good for a tanky, rotos/taras-like champ that ignores SS with a bunch of gear and resources thrown as a bonus. People have spent way more for less

Love the content Ash! I have to disagree. $60 for He-Man is a GREAT deal. I don’t have to grind or worry I’m not gonna pull him, even while spending a lot of money. Just bam - I can buy the champ I want. There are a ton of champs I want in this game and there’s a slim chance I’ll ever get them. Plarium and Mattel made the right call. Especially around the holidays, he’s available to anyone who seriously wants to prioritize him in their lives.

He-Man is targeted for arena specific due to ignoring stoneskin and since stoneskin is a very annoying buff people will buy and max him just for that. I love your excitment for them existing as i had the same excitement when i saw skeletor.

I was actually in the process of giving Raid a break or playing less until I seen this and they sucked me back in, I even paid for He-Man. This is my all time favorite cartoon, they don't make cartoons like this anymore. I seen the updated. version and it's just not the same.

if you buy 40$ worth of shards you're essentially getting nothing. not saying it's worth 40$, just that everything else in the game is so stupidly overpriced that this is actually the cheapest way to get a solid legendary
Im actually loving it since i grew up on MOTU, bet She-Ra is next somewhere wince she was also a late add-in for the girls. At the same time I'm aggravated....I had one day & 75 points to get Loki's 5 * soul starting last night on my Jr account.....log in prior to this dropping & magically the chase is gone WITH TIME LEFT TO COMPLETE......Wife is gonna be even more ticked when the champ she paid to get & has 10lvls left to get her, is replaced by Skeletor chase. Free is free BUT paying to get a champ & getting screwed out of it with time left is technically theft 🤔🤬
As far as the battle pass! I really like them! And I don't mind having to buy the pass, will do that anyway. Simple fact, this would be the 3rd ever battle pass, so I don't mind spending on it. It's not like having a shard event every day

Dude i haven't played this game in a good while. I was running 3 accounts and i think only two of them reached Loki. Raid just became real repetitive and boring for me, Seeing this may get me to log in for Skeletor. I'm right there with you, Ash I'm 42 and still a He-Man fan, As silly as it was we could see the barbarian aspect of it. I don't want to pay any 40 freakin bucks for him though.
It would be 'fun' if He-Man was Mythical for the transform but it would be really bad to have an exceptionally strong Mythical straight up for sale. The character models look great, especially Skeletor. Either way, I'm not paying for it.
Got Loki and Kael at 6 star. Deciding on who to 6 star next? Do I bother with Skeletor? Or go with Aox the Rememberer, Mausoleum Mage, Myciliac Priest Orn, High Khatun or Apothecary next?
I think Skeletor is actually going to be very powerful. Especially considering how annoying some bosses can be with their resist. Not to mention we haven't really seen anything concerning the new raid boss coming soon. He might turn out to be pretty powerful there as well. But I believe Skeletor would do pretty well with teams that take advantage of burn and poison. as for the He-Man thing I am pretty irritated that it's behind a paywall because I'm a fan too. They could have at least just made the battle pass a bit more grindy and then lowered the price. There's no way I'm spending 40 bucks on a mobile game. Sorry plarium

What they could have done is made He-Man mythical and when he's in Prince Adam form he's part of that knight order but when he's He-Man he transforms to barbarian that would make more sense
I know a lot of people don't care too much about skeletor being a low tear legendary but to me I'm just glad to be getting a free one because I don't play as much so he'll be my first legendary so I'm happy 😁 also I like skeletor because he's funny
not just a pay wall for heman but a very expensive heman and then they have the expensive summon pool + Stokk the fragment summon all $ grabs i thought the new owners bumped up the pay to win but i am told new owner not taken over yet. Players concerned about every new boss being meta like odin + thor so if you spent years building a strong team they are all less effective now (when are they going to add Conan and Arnie [or terminator] if you prefer)
As an f2p player I hope He Man will be available from shards at some point but I think it’s wildly silly for any spender to complain about the cost of the champion pass. $60 to get him immediately is nothing compared to the cost I imagine many players spent to even have a chance at other limited time champions like R.N. Archer last year then will never shut up about it if they couldn’t get them.

There is always a barrier to entry for everything. In this game it’s usually months of saving with no guarantee on outcome. If his multipliers are good to decent the event is pretty good for a tanky, rotos/taras-like champ that ignores SS with a bunch of gear and resources thrown as a bonus. People have spent way more for less

DUDE!!! I'm excited about these champions! Xena was a hard pass for me but I'm thinking this champion pass may just be a happy birthday to me present. I was reading their kits and thought that they would make an awesome boss-killing duo.
Love the content Ash! I have to disagree. $60 for He-Man is a GREAT deal. I don’t have to grind or worry I’m not gonna pull him, even while spending a lot of money. Just bam - I can buy the champ I want.
There are a ton of champs I want in this game and there’s a slim chance I’ll ever get them. Plarium and Mattel made the right call. Especially around the holidays, he’s available to anyone who seriously wants to prioritize him in their lives.
It's been a while since I have actually been excited for any new champions, and here we get 2! Have to admit that my inner kid from my childhood squeaked a bit when I say this. Brought back memories of playing with the toys while watching the cartoon. Good times.

I was about to go to bed. Saw the announcement in-game & the YT commercial. Bought the pass instantly, without thinking about it. I love me some MOTU content. Hopefully the kits are worth it.

He-Man is targeted for arena specific due to ignoring stoneskin and since stoneskin is a very annoying buff people will buy and max him just for that. I love your excitment for them existing as i had the same excitement when i saw skeletor.

I have a f2p account im trying to build but its like you said Ash the nostalgia of these Characters makes me wanna get He-Man. SO! I was actually in the process of giving Raid a break or playing less until I seen this and they sucked me back in, I even paid for He-Man. This is my all time favorite cartoon, they don't make cartoons like this anymore. I seen the updated. version and it's just not the same.

This is what they do, try to sway the attention from horroble mistakes to a probably great champion that you need to pay for and a chicken free lego. I'm not excited at all for this but if you are more power to you.

Skeletor's kit sucks. That A2 could've been great if it did AOE debuff. Hopefully his multipliers will be good.
No he seems amazing... The exact kit that I need since all all my nukers are bombers. Block debuff is my number one enemy.

At the same time I'm aggravated....I had one day & 75 points to get Loki's 5 * soul starting last night on my Jr account.....log in prior to this dropping & magically the chase is gone WITH TIME LEFT TO COMPLETE......Wife is gonna be even more ticked when the champ she paid to get & has 10lvls left to get her, is replaced by Skeletor chase. Free is free BUT paying to get a champ & getting screwed out of it with time left is technically theft 🤔🤬
As far as the battle pass! I really like them! And I don't mind having to buy the pass, will do that anyway. Simple fact, this would be the 3rd ever battle pass, so I don't mind spending on it. It's not like having a shard event every day

The Skeletor run animation is perfect
It would be 'fun' if He-Man was Mythical for the transform but it would be really bad to have an exceptionally strong Mythical straight up for sale. The character models look great, especially Skeletor. Either way, I'm not paying for it.
Got Loki and Kael at 6 star. Deciding on who to 6 star next? Do I bother with Skeletor? Or go with Aox the Rememberer, Mausoleum Mage, Myciliac Priest Orn, High Khatun or Apothecary next?
I think Skeletor is actually going to be very powerful. Especially considering how annoying some bosses can be with their resist. Not to mention we haven't really seen anything concerning the new raid boss coming soon. He might turn out to be pretty powerful there as well. But I believe Skeletor would do pretty well with teams that take advantage of burn and poison. as for the He-Man thing I am pretty irritated that it's behind a paywall because I'm a fan too. They could have at least just made the battle pass a bit more grindy and then lowered the price. There's no way I'm spending 40 bucks on a mobile game. Sorry plarium

A champion pass where the free version gives you the champion but the elite pass would give you the 4* soul for it would be better for the community I think

What they could have done is made He-Man mythical and when he's in Prince Adam form he's part of that knight order but when he's He-Man he transforms to barbarian that would make more sense
I’m with you Ash, Skeletor is one of my favorite villains of all time. I’m not paying to get He-man, but I’d have gotten the pass to get Skeletor.
I know a lot of people don't care too much about skeletor being a low tear legendary but to me I'm just glad to be getting a free one because I don't play as much so he'll be my first legendary so I'm happy 😁 also I like skeletor because he's funny
not just a pay wall for heman but a very expensive heman and then they have the expensive summon pool + Stokk the fragment summon all $ grabs i thought the new owners bumped up the pay to win but i am told new owner not taken over yet. Players concerned about every new boss being meta like odin + thor so if you spent years building a strong team they are all less effective now (when are they going to add Conan and Arnie [or terminator] if you prefer)
As an f2p player I hope He Man will be available from shards at some point but I think it’s wildly silly for any spender to complain about the cost of the champion pass. $60 to get him immediately is nothing compared to the cost I imagine many players spent to even have a chance at other limited time champions like R.N. Archer last year then will never shut up about it if they couldn’t get them.
