I rarely comment on videos, but I really wanted to say thank you! Ever since we lost TotalBiscuit (and his WTF Is?) series, your channel has become my first stop for learning about new indie and niche games in order to make my purchase decisions... Valheim was the first one (and got me subbed), then Mr Prepper, Going Medieval, and now MotorTown... And they've all been :chefkiss: marvelous! It seems to me that single-creator games (or those with very small, closely knitted teams) have a huge advantage over AAAs. If AAA made this game then you would only be able to drive trucks for delivery and every other driving type would be DLC. Oh and microtransactions for different car colours. It's so good to see things like this in the right area of the gaming industry.
The game is incredibly relaxing. I bought it a few months back and played it pretty hard. I will say one thing though, the grind is real. It is enjoyable but it will get slow in progress quickly.

If you like driving delivery trucks I recommend trying out Euro Truck Simulator - the driving model is solid, the graphics are really nice and the map is pretty huge with all DLC these days.
Hey Mack, I really hope you're doing better, how's your arm Doing mate?, Also I hope you and your family and loved ones have an amazing year, you all truly deserve it mate!.
it's alright, about 5 hours in you've already done whats needed to be done, hopefully, the devs have a good roadmap for the direction they're going to take this game, ill keep an eye on it.
I still play TDU2 to this day, can't wait to see if Solar Crown will keep the same spirit... this one looks interesting. You may like Euro Truck Simulator 2, can open a business in Liverpool, cross the Euro tunnel and crash driving on the other side of the frogs, ehem I mean of the road ;)
I may give this a try with mouse and keyboard. I have no desire for a "game controller", as I really don't like consoles, mostly due to the controls. I also can't really justify buying a wheel and pedals either as rarely as I have ever played a driving game. I did use to play this one that was not really driving but owning a trucking company and picking up regular contracts and side jobs and buying more and bigger trucks hiring drivers as you grew. It was a logistics game and I really loved it. It was a business simulator but without the need to manage employees which was perfect for me at the time. Even though the graphics are so simple in this one, I can tell already that the look of the driving appeared realistic otherwise, if that makes sense. Something about the physics of the motion when turning and accelerating, etc.. This also seems like it could have great potential for growth as a series. Just don't let the AAA companies get a hold of it, they'll incorporate rep and heat into your bank and,, well you know.
As you highlighted that's the problem with the new gen gamers. They just dgaf about anything. That's why anything that requires tactics, naaah, they don't want that, running around shooting at everything, full chaos, that's what sells.
I Told you that you'll like it Mack! And yeah it's one person. Recently they've hired another person to help with the world building, but the actual game until now was made by one person.

I fully expected Mack to drive on the left side, just to spite everybody
Having natural car crashes and roads getting closed for accidents would be a nice touch.
it's alright, about 5 hours in you've already done whats needed to be done, hopefully, the devs have a good roadmap for the direction they're going to take this game, ill keep an eye on it.
So youve unlocked police? Tried all the roles?
@@TalonWren yup, did them all.
This is my kind of game. Thanks mack for introducing it
as a car enthusiast this is pretty much my idea of zen
Edit: 8:30 nice choice of car.
Colonel Failure liked it too, very much... Such a great little treasure and the best start into 22' Gaming...
Thank you for this review, I'll be checking this one out!
I Told you that you'll like it Mack! And yeah it's one person. Recently they've hired another person to help with the world building, but the actual game until now was made by one person.
I would never find this game during a steam scout. Luckily you highlight these gems and now I consider buying it. Cheers Mack
Will be checking this out when its out of early access
Wow this looks like fun. It also has tons of potential!
