El cajon peruano, fue un instrumento que siempre estuvo vinculado a la poblacion afrodescendiente , los españoles trajeron la esclavitud de poblaciones africanas , desde luego , los esclavos Áfricanos trajeron también su cultura o parte de ella , que se fusiono con la cultura aborigen peruana y asi mismo con otras culturas como la europea y hasta musulmana . En lo musical , el cajon al ser afro , creo que conjuga bastante bien con ritmos como el rock mas antiguo , que es ams cercano al blues , que es de origen tambien afro , es por eso que suenan tam bien .
