- With fond and touching memories, Dean JS Bisquera dedicates to Dean Celedonio Tiongson, the acknowledged Expert in Public International Law and Conflict of Laws, these TH-cam Uploads on CONFLICT of LAWS and the RENVOI Doctrine. The 2nd & Final Discussion of RENVOI Doctrine and the Domicillary Theory under CONFLICT of Laws covered the comparison between the Nationality Theory, to which the Philippines adheres to, and the Domicillary Theory. Then, a simple Flow of the mutual referrals of two (2) countries' CONFLICTS Law where a Philippine Court is confronted with resolving say, a Succession/Probate Case of a Foreigner, necessitating reference to the Philippine CONFLICTS Law which adheres to the Nationality Theory and linking up said Conflicts Law to its counterpart in the country of the Foreigner whose Estate is to be resolved before said Philippine Court. The judicial pingpong of CONFLICTS Laws and Domestic Laws of the Philippines and its interface with the Country of the Alien before the Philippine Court is clearly demonstrated and explained. The Options of REJECTION of the RENVOI, the Invocation of the Theory of Desistance and the Mutual Disclaimer of JurisdictionTheory with the Doctrine of Forum Non-conveniens are brought up in resolving the RENVOI challenge.
As a matter of personal privilege, Dean JS Bisquera spends the last Slide, fondly remembering his beloved Law Dean and Professor who was his recognized IDOL as the Authority in this Subject that he now shares with his own set of young, aspiring Lawyers.
May this serve as a living tribute to a kind and sympathetic Law Professor, Dean Celedonio Tiongson.

This is the "easiest-to-understand-lecture" I've ever watched on TH-cam especially because of the complex examples, simplified and made "in-touch" for law students!
