Thank you for sharing your beautiful coloring pages with us! I never got the Flower Year book because I'm not a fan of coloring just flowers and leaves, but I'm amazed at how well you are able to make just some flowers and leaves look so gorgeous!
For your Jane F Hankins book, you could scan the pages and that way you will have them and you can print more out later if you want to color a page again that you already colored! I don't have any of her work, but I do love it!
Incredible pages as always, And, stunning colors for the angelfish! That is frame-worthy. I'm a super fan of Paule Brun too, I have two books and I also like the size and there is nice quality paper.
I loved this video Shelly, even though I watched it over about about 5 instalments over the last few days 😄. Your colouring is superb, thank you for sharing everything you have done! 😍🌺🌻
My pleasure, I am glad I was able to inspire you - colour combos don't always come to me....many times I do need to get inspiration from other sources like Pinterest, nature, colour palettes etc. 🤗💗
You have such a great collection of books and your coloured pages are amazing ❤️ I happen to love longer videos, and this one helped me to concentrate on finishing a page I've been working on. Thank you for sharing ☺️
Dear Shelly, I enjoyed and loved watching your entire video, with little breaks in between it was no problem! How could I not look at such lovingly and wonderfully designed pages... Thank you for taking the time to record this inspiring video 😍🥰💫❤️💫
This was fun to watch! I’m looking forward to your Tomislav picture. I have both books, but they’re still intimidating. I’ve only done a few pages in them.
I have the same Hannah Lynn book and alcohol markers are amazing on the paper and illustrations. The vibrant colors with the dark lines and smooth look really pop out and work great together, plus it’s much faster coloring. I hope you give it a chance with alcohol markers before destash. Always love seeing your beautiful colored pages!
Amazing and beautiful work! Those "seahorses" in your anastasia mermaid picture are real creatures - they are Sea Dragons. If you google them you will see they do have a body similar to a sea horse but a lot of appendages which look like plant life for camouflage. they are really neat and beautiful!
If it helps you feel more comfortable, you can use watercolor pans just like you would markers or pencil picking the color off the tip, with a waterbrush. Just leave the pans dry and "lick" the color off, then dilute or blend it out on the page. It's much easier to control the water, and since it's a technique you already use there isn't that huge learning curve.
I remember being so excited when I discovered Colouring Heaven magazine existed.. it's such a great idea.. and I give them two big thumbs up for refusing to allow any AI content. They joined Only. Human. Art. immediately after it was founded. I only own two though because they are so large, and the paper is so bad.. and there is a LOT of portraits. You would think they would be the first to understand how important paper is for coloring. IDK if it's because the books are so large but I swear it's even thinner than my local Amazon paper. I have the Alice in Wonderland and the Kanoko Egusa. I've never actually colored in either, but if I do it would definitely have to be with alcohol markers. I wanted the Wizard of Oz edition, but it never came to my local stores here in the US. I'd also like to check out the new pocket editions, but those are not sold here either.
Yes, it is disappointing - they have had such lovely issues and give access to artists that would be otherwise quite costly to obtain illustrations for. I am sure there would be many colourists that would be a little more for better quality of some of the artworks they have shared in their magazines! 🤗💗
That title scared me for a second 😅. It sounded like it would be your last video for the year. Whew!
Oh no! I am so so sorry, I definitely meant the last one of my completed pages 😂🤦🏻♀️💗
Magnífico! Amei! Muito lindos ❤

His books are definitely intimidating but so satisfying when you get a page done 🤗💗
When you base with soft pastels, do you use fixative before using colored pencil over the top? Love this video!
Most of the time yes, to avoid smudging it everywhere…making sure it is workable fixative though. Thank you, so glad you liked the video 🤗💗

Ah thank you for sharing, I will see if I can muster up the inspo to give it a try 🤗💗
35:11 - I asked Christine the other day and she is making another book 👏 🥳 🎉
Oooh this is so so exciting!! Thanks for letting me know! I can’t wait now 🤩💗

Thank you so much for sharing that, so interesting!! 🤗💗
When using soft pastels in your books, are you the using a fixative?
Yes, I use workable fixative by Winsor and Newton 🤗💗

Whit brand of alcohol markers do you use?
The Ohuhu markers, Honolulu series 💗
