- Thought I'd do another video on my Irish Grocery Haul | Family of 4 | Price and Meal Plan. I did my weekly grocery shop in Dunnes Stores (a grocery shop in Ireland) and Aldi. I included our weekly meal plans and the prices of how much everything cost - slightly higher because I got started on my Christmas shopping 2023!

Oh, thank you for this video... I´m new in Ireland, it was so helpful 😍
Oh I miss Ireland... There is a crispy bread in Dunns that I would love to find in Spain, but there's nothing like it... And the scones... Oh god, I would go every week to get some more.. Haha
Great videos!!
Thanks! I've got to find out more about this crispy bread! 😄 Yeah, the scones are sooooo good!

Great haul! I have to try that turkey rasher pizza
It's so good! 😊
Growing up in our house at Christmas there was always a debate about whether Quality Street or Roses were better. My siblings always preferred Roses, but I’m not a big chocolate creams person and much prefer the chewy toffees of Quality Street
Yes!! I love the Quality Street chewy toffees, they're my fave!
My favorite TH-camr. Love and support you.
Thank you so much! 😊💗💗
@@WolfeMomma my day gets better when you upload a new video and when you do hands in sleeves, it's just so cute.
@@jacksonebendick9592 Aw thank you! No hands in sleeves in this video but I missed it! 😅
@@WolfeMomma but it is cozy, right?
@@jacksonebendick9592 still cozy! 😊
I cleary understand what you are saying but I barely understand when i talk with irish people in Dublin
My husband has a Dublin accent and whenever we go away he has to speak very slowly so people can understand him 😅

I’m very curious as to whether there’s any existing Irish Folklore that might have inspired the song, “The Mummer’s Dance” by Loreena McKennitt…The “Single Remix” (a.k.a. “Radio Version”) of that song was all over the Radio here in the US when I was a teenager (the song came out when I was in the 8th Grade, to be exact) and there are two Commercially-Programmed FM Radio Stations here in Northern New England that still continue to air that song here in the 2020’s (one in Littleton, New Hampshire and another in Caribou, Maine, which is not far from Presque Isle and is located roughly 120 Miles north of where I am, both Markets being incredibly rural)…I always assumed “The Mummer’s Dance” to be Scottish, but apparently it’s Irish, and I’ve actually heard that the Mummer’s Dance is an actual thing…which begs a nagging Question as to whether there might be Irish Folklore that likely inspired Loreena McKennitt to write that song…Of course, I’m not Irish myself, but I think most anybody who grew up in the 1980’s & 1990’s here in the US has at least heard of “The Mummer’s Dance” by Loreena McKennitt (regardless of whether or not they happen to be Irish)…And I don’t even know anything about Loreena McKennitt and have never even once seen an Interview of her…but I do know that 90’s hit song of hers’ that gained so much popularity during the Mid-1990’s…
I spend monthly €650 and it’s only me and my Wife. I don’t know but I think we’re spending too much here 😂😢
That's not too bad! My husband and I probably spent that before kids, but we had a lot of alcohol included back then 😅

Hey i am an upcoming international student coming this September can you please share which grocery generally is the cheapest?
Aldi and Lidl are pretty cheap. Dunnes is great when you have the vouchers too.
You forgot celebrations!
Already had a tub of them in the house 😅😅
Good discount from the Dunn's shop. Your overall 188.48 euro works out to AUD$315.00 . This is for four people so the weekly cost per person is AUD$78.75. This is pretty good compared to where I am in Australia as I spend somewhere around AUD$80.00 to $120 per week per person . Vast majority of my purchases are low carb keto though. Which where I live does not come cheap. So I think the Irish prices are OK - thought it would probably be more.
Love your Irish accent BTW. The "erm" is a classic.🙂
Thanks! 😊 How is the cost of living in Australia? I've heard things are a bit more expensive over there. I'm still surprised by how much prices are rising here in Ireland, a few years ago this haul would have been so much cheaper!
@@WolfeMomma Same here, some items like certain New Zealand cheeses have risen very close to 100% over last 3 years. With everything else significantly more expensive. Maybe overall could get away with AUD$50.00 to $60.00 weekly back then. I generally thought Ireland was one of the few countries more expensive than here but based on your haul I don't think so.
