    As a ship modeller working with fairly large models the flyer makes a tonne of sense for doing waterlines and stuff.

    Been using the Flyer for a while. I just use it for priming and topcoats, and have extra bottles (one for each whatever). Haven't really had to clean out the bottles much since I use it for a limited purpose, but it's nice not needing to clean out my actual brush for these things.
    Since I prime and topcoats a lot, I just fill up a bottle and can use it for multiple kits. Been loving it for these kinds of applications.

    Zach , I'd plug the compressor into a remote switch and then place that switch in a convenient location . You could do it with plastic electrical box ,ON OFF switch & Extension cord from the Hardware store.

    As someone looking to get into airbrushing soon, what do you do with leftover paint after a paint session (assuming you aren't going to save it)? Throw it away? Pour it down the drain? I've never heard anyone mention it so I never really knew.

    My Iwata Smart Jet is serving me well since I first got it with the HP-CS 2 years ago (got em both for $100 NIB off of Craig's List). But in the event of the unfortunate, I'll keep this one in mind.

      Same I have a Smart Jet pro and a HP-CS as well as a 0.5 Trigger Neo for priming been using them for a few years now all 3 were great buys and I love them too. If you are ever looking for a Detail Brush give the Mr. airbrush Custom 0.18mm PS770 a go fit and finish its pretty much a Iwata Custom Micron: CM-C Plus with different markings for 2/3 the price, Not cheap by any means but cheaper then a CM-C

    I just took delivery of this same compressor today June 2020} and Im over the moon with it, I got the rust coloured one they had on a short run and it matches my best airbrush lol, though that doesnt really atter does it!, I am posting this because anyone worrying about noise need not worry, it is REALLY quiet, If you were working in one room it would not bother anyone in another room at all. The next model down {610} although the same compressor runs faster and thus is louder than this twin model, I think they back off the speed on the twin because they have two pistons working that fill the tank really quickly, so it doesnt have to work as fast or hard and is far quieter. I was going to go for the Bambi silent but honestly this is quiet enough, it's nothing like the noisy little bugger I ran years ago. I bought mine from a UK outlet, Airbrushes.com, came in one day WITH a set of rust effect paints free, great service.

    Is the 620 louder then the Iwata Smart Jet Pro or better in anyway?

    • @Firatha
      @Firatha 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I use a smart jet pro and this seemed louder but the thing you need to remember is that the smart jet has no external tank so while it is quiet it can be running longer so its a trade off of how you want your noise and the sparmax 620x tops out at around 60-65psi where as the Smart Jet Pro says tops out at just above 35psi
