So glad to have your review before I purchase. I was interested originally in Dahlia but much different in person than what it appears online. Lipstick shades are always the hardest to buy online. However, now I've seen that Larch on you and love that! Exact kind of color I'd love! Thanks lovely!
I do think the swatches are not very true to how they are in real life. I do like Shore and Larch the most 😍
Your videos are relaxing to me. My favorite shade is Shore. I have been enjoying my Merit Lipstick.
I honestly think they are very similar to the Merit lipsticks. These are a little bit more opaque and more pigmented but they feel similar on the lips.

If you like pinks, Dahlia is a beautiful one! I usually use more brown tones! ❤️

Another reason to choose Hourglass over Chanel: lack of fragrance? Luxury can be heavily perfumed for those of us with sensitivities / migraines so I will def be putting Oasis on my wishlist. It looks like my fav CT Very Victoria? Each one is lovely on you, but Dahlia is like a deeper version of your own rosy lips🌹So jealous! If my lips were that pigmented I would nothing but gloss 💋😘

I've been wearing liner with lip glosses and I'm more than happy with the results. I don't have plump lips, so some (a lot) of lipsticks can make my lips look even thinner!! No thank you 😅😅

I haven’t used any lipliner in the video❤️ but in general I would pick a liner to match the lipsticks
Do you think that Shore could be a dupe for LE’s Velvet Affair or not close enough?
Shore is more brown than Velvet Affair.
I bought the shade Sahara which is described as a warm sienna and it’s orange. It doesn’t look anything like the photo on Sephora. I find the packaging annoying because you have to line it up exactly right and it doesn’t feel luxurious to me because there’s no weight to it. The formula is nice though, I just won’t be purchasing anymore until I can swatch them in store.
I do think the swatches online are very misleading. I struggled to pick the shades.
I agree with what you’re saying. The packaging is a puzzle, it’s lightweight and feeling like a cheap lipstick. However I love the smoothness of the formula and the fact that there isn’t a heavy scent/perfume to them.
Sephora’s swatches look weird, they are not accurate, I noticed that as well.
I gave away the cream stick blushes too because it has to be put exactly right it was annoying! Too bad because those brown colors are my jam.
@@sunshineliz5297 I have one of those too. I laugh at myself for being annoyed with it, but who has time to fiddle with the packaging that long. 😂 I guess I never realized how I put zero thought into closing product until I had to actually work at it. 😂
@@TaniaBWells I think I thought Sahara might be more like how Shore looked on you. I was hoping warm sierra was more like a terracotta color or brownish orange cinnamon. But on me it’s pretty orange. I used a brown lip liner and made it more to my liking today. 😊

Does Larch compare to Bobbi Brown shade Telluride? I love it but I'm always buying colors that are like .001 difference. Also, did you detect any fragrance? I cannot tolerate lipstick that tastes like a sachet
I haven’t tried that Bobbi Brown shade. There is the SLIGHTEST Vanilla scent, but really really faint. Didn’t notice it until I intentionally smelled it
I ordered cypress It’s not here yet. I am thinking of getting Oasis if I like the formula.
How do you like Cypress! I swatched it in store and it looked like a beautiful more berry color.
@@TaniaBWells I love it. I typically would go for oasis immediately. I said let me go a little deeper and I love it. But I did order Oasis after I tried cypress lol I like the formula.
It’s nice to see the actual shades bec the swatches online are particularly horrible this time. I think Dahlia looks great on you but if it’s too pink you could swipe one of the browner shades you also got over it to tone it down a little?
Absolutely!! The swatches are so inaccurate online… I was surprised by some colors seeing them in person.
@@TaniaBWells it’s so frustrating isn’t it? The online ones are very dull and all look like the others in the same shade range. They are worse than CT ones honestly!
Oasis looks similar to Merrit Baby. What do you think?

Can anyone recommend a lipstick formula that leans a tab more shine than satin. I find cream /satin formulas still feel too dry and matte for my preference. Shiny formulas are too sheer and balmy.
I have a long time discontinued TooFaced La Creme lipstick that is close to being used up and i have been searching for a dupe , but can't find one. Its the perfect in between cream satin and balmy lipstick
Have you tried the Merit Lipsticks? They are shiny and extremely moisturizing!
It would be great if you could make a dupe video of expensive lipstick brands and affordable lipstick brands of your favorite colors, because I have almost the same taste in lipstick colors as you but my pocket is not that big. 🤣😂These cosmetic brands sell quite expensive lipsticks for me. I need to start looking for dupes. I think lipsticks at the drugstore are just as amazing as high end!! No need to spend money on these expensive products!
$38? I did like that deep brown shade but I'd really rather just buy a Milani Color Statement lipstick for $8 and put the $30 toward a palette or something. Milani's Teddy Bare and Naturally Chic are my go-to cremes.
