I could completely agree with the sentiment about being unable to invite friends. That is unacceptable. Ai voices I understand a little more only if the original actor died or is retired. For example: if the original actor for Naruto dies or retires, I would not want them to change his voice. At the same time, using AI instead of real people just to cut cost is unacceptable. AI should only be there to assist.
i mean, this AI Test doesnt really have to be perfect. If the Voice actors themself say they didnt record it like that, it must be ai or something else

The uncanny English dub was the first thing I noticed when I started the game. At first I thought Doug Erholtz was losing his edge, then I realized it was almost every character.
It’s just so… weird. There’s some lines that sound really good (kid Sasuke’s “you’re spoiling my view”) and other lines that are hot garbage (“wAke you Uup”)
I used to replay the final battle between Naruto and Sasuke in Storm 4. Their dialouges were so full of emotions. When I saw the same battle in connections, I was like..."No! They never said those lines that way!" It sounds so....bland...emotionless...like someone just read the script without knowing the context.
Things are different in storm connection: 1. Some dialogues changed from previous storm series, except Japanese 2. Any boss battles has removed 3. No quick time events in original story, especially some history battles

Being a Naruto game fan is nothing but pain and suffering. Dragon Ball has Xenoverse & FighterZ, One Piece has Pirate Warriors & Odyssey, and Naruto has the same bloody 3D arena fighter over and over again. I swear Naruto has the most mobile games, as well. I've been waiting for so long for that one Naruto game to come along and really blow me away. Guess I'll have to wait a bit longer...
If the shity sequel called boruto didn't exist and the heads didn't need to shove it into everything for it to stay relevant Naruto wouldve been a way big ip now

I mean if the voice acting is Ai generated then it’s safe to assume the Japanese voice acting is Ai generated in terms to that too but there were no complaints about it. If they weren’t able to get the English dub cast then it would’ve been hard for them to assemble the Japanese cast too. It wasn't just in English. The Brazilian Portuguese dub was groundbreaking when it came in Storm 4 because that was a first for the series (and came right around the time as Saint Seiya Soldiers' Soul). When the next Dragon Ball game came out, this was not an option. Fans complained, and basically Bandai said it would take the stars aligning to release a game with Portuguese voice lines (to this day, it hasn't come in this corner of the industry). Well... Storm Connections has them. And they sound extremely weird as well, especially after the rumors about the English dub came out. One thing to be noticed is that many of those lines simply did not exist in Portuguese, so it can't be a mistake in the production unless you assume the voice actors themselves got worse.
What I’m mostly curious about is if it is actually the case that AI Generated Voice Acting was used, was that a result of Bandai Namco, or CyberConnect2? I’m assuming it’s Bandai Namco but I don’t know for sure.
I have feeling it's definitely something Bandai would do. Cc2 are the most passionate studio I've ever seen about anime games honestly. So I doubt that they came up with this idea.

I paid full price thinking the game was getting a unique overall to the entire Naruto story from part one all the way to Boruto with a special story also added and let me say I have been disappointed even with online features and history mode respectively
Ai is DEFINATELY being used for the voices. Konan and Naruto’s voices show it 100%. I’m also wondering if the same people are who made the Naruto storm games are making the new blue exorcist video game, because if they are, I HOPE they don’t use Ai to replace the actors.
Even if they can try covering it up for English or JP, the other languages are undeniably AI quality. I saw a clip of Naruto meeting his mother in Portuguese, she said his name so robotically, as if it were a poorly directed vocaloid.
Even a normal people can know that these lines sound so weird and out of tone. Hope that Bamco had an explanation for this. A very reasonable and acceptable one

The ninja storm series I like but I prefer the clash of Ninja series more. I found out later on that out two more games came out in Japan only. I wish we could get all four games in a collection too
I agree, i love the clash of ninja series and the ultimate ninja from ps2, their character's moveset and ultimate jutsus were way more creative and cooler than their storm one's in my opinion, i wish those series would come back at least for the one more entry.
I don't care if it's ai or not. Story & history mode was garage 😂 they didn't have enough new characters or anything. I just don't think this gane should've been full price. The new combat system; i used new lightly is great.

Well, it has something good in the switch version The storm 2 in pain's boss fight in the final phase after being the 6 tail kyubi chackra naruto, it played the wrong theme, having the same one as in the phase 2 That doesn't happen in connections (This problem is also in the trilogy version)
Whats worse is tha CyberConnect got this idea from The Finals, and really thought it was an effective measure to cut corners and that we wouldnt notice.
It sounds very unnatural, the voice actors don’t remember giving those deliveries, an AI detector showed it’s possibly AI, and the publishers would have a believable motivation (saving money by not rehiring all the old cast), so, yeah, I’m pretty convinced it’s AI.
they lost the english voice files. the kawaki voice actor was hired to record lines and if u listen to the kawaki reveal trailer or early test builds, you can hear a much better line for the ultimate jutsu
Storm connections is supposed to be a filler game like generations and revolution because between 2 and 3 we had generations between 3 and 4 we had Revolution now between 4 and 5 is connections. Also because the anime needs to catch up to the manga to be worth a game adaptation.
I want my money back low key. Why did they do us so badly, storm had a huge fan base there was no reason to half ass the game when they had plenty of time to work on it.
There is literally 3 things that made this game awesome: 1. Story mode was a banger (in terms of lore, the battles were trash especially the boss battles) 2.Ground Combo. 3. They brought back the ability to customize your character. EVERYTHING ELSE ABOUT THIS GAME IS TRASH AND LAZY.

I picked up the game for the all in one experience, which was pretty half assed and disappointing. If I had known they used AI tech for the voices, I never would have touched it.
If Bandai really wanted to save costs than they could’ve easily just re used all of the old lines from the previous storm games, they only need a few new VAs to give lines to new characters like Kawaki and Jigen but instead they somehow came to the conclusion that using AI is the way to go, hell they didn’t feel like recycling all of the previous bosses in this game and change them in interesting ways like they did with Naruto vs Garra If you want to get into this franchise than just buy Storm Legacy, unlike connections it actually has all the content and the old lines which are much better performances than whatever this rubbish in connection is
i was a big fan of naruto and played many of the storm games, but after the main series i started to dislike it cause i really grew tired of the whole uchiha only lore. i know how popular the clan is but i want more uzumaki clan lore or something other that uchiha/otsutsuki driven stories which is why i stoped watching boruto. this just is icing on the cake

Bro I've been saying that this game is using ai voice acting since the very launch. Has anyone heard sarada? She sounds like those text to speech ai on tik tok. Completely unnatural. Especially when it was fine in storm 4, why would it be so bad now. The only one that sounds actually great is sasuke. Massive props to yuri lowenthal for his amazing skills. You could also say that boruto was natural as well, but I don't like how whiny he is in this game. He sounds like he's always tired or annoyed.
Sorry to say it’s mostly game over for creative workers (where AI is applicable), at least in any big corporate setting. AI is magnitudes cheaper/faster, and that’s all that shareholders care about. As long as it’s legal to use, they will use it without a second thought. Will be interesting to see if this case goes any further if it does indeed go against contractual obligations. I don’t imagine they’ll be punished very harshly if it does, and that’ll help set precedent for every other corporation going forward.
AI voices tend to do that, just watch Neuro-sama on twitch shes a Vtuber fully voiced by an AI. Its very noticeable especially on her alter-ego Evil Neuro, which has a more emotive and natural sounding voice but because of that the way she speaks get wonky sometimes just like in those clips. But what baffles me the most is that they think that it was actually good lmao. Neuro doing that is acceptable cause its live and one take. Meanwhile these cunts really thought watching that part of naruto saying 'wAkE You UuUpP' and said PERFECT, release this shit $100.

It’s cap I just finished the Special Story mode and there is no way the lines in that were not voiced it’s probably that some where used from the Dubs

this game is literally a cash grab, its delayed dlc that was turned into a full game at full price.
I don't care if it's ai or not. Story & history mode was garage 😂 they didn't have enough new characters or anything. I just don't think this gane should've been full price. The new combat system; i used new lightly is great.
1:05 i mean it's not like the og eng dub was good anyway, my issue with it is the intro and history mode, every intros in storm games show scenes and ults from the game, so when i watched the intro i was excited as hell but came to find out that nothing in it made it into the game, history mode is ass straight up, wasting our time with slideshows and battles than can be replicated in free battle and online matches, i did love the boruto story and the improved graphics and effects

The storm 2 in pain's boss fight in the final phase after being the 6 tail kyubi chackra naruto, it played the wrong theme, having the same one as in the phase 2
That doesn't happen in connections
(This problem is also in the trilogy version)
Whats worse is tha CyberConnect got this idea from The Finals, and really thought it was an effective measure to cut corners and that we wouldnt notice.

It sounds very unnatural, the voice actors don’t remember giving those deliveries, an AI detector showed it’s possibly AI, and the publishers would have a believable motivation (saving money by not rehiring all the old cast), so, yeah, I’m pretty convinced it’s AI.

the kawaki voice actor was hired to record lines and if u listen to the kawaki reveal trailer or early test builds, you can hear a much better line for the ultimate jutsu

Storm connections is supposed to be a filler game like generations and revolution because between 2 and 3 we had generations between 3 and 4 we had Revolution now between 4 and 5 is connections. Also because the anime needs to catch up to the manga to be worth a game adaptation.

There is literally 3 things that made this game awesome:
1. Story mode was a banger (in terms of lore, the battles were trash especially the boss battles)
2.Ground Combo.
3. They brought back the ability to customize your character.

ngl the connection issues everyone's having on "connections" I have them from the Storm 3 game (and Yeah I've got a super internet mais never could afford to play Online because of that)
I picked up the game for the all in one experience, which was pretty half assed and disappointing. If I had known they used AI tech for the voices, I never would have touched it.
If Bandai really wanted to save costs than they could’ve easily just re used all of the old lines from the previous storm games, they only need a few new VAs to give lines to new characters like Kawaki and Jigen but instead they somehow came to the conclusion that using AI is the way to go, hell they didn’t feel like recycling all of the previous bosses in this game and change them in interesting ways like they did with Naruto vs Garra
If you want to get into this franchise than just buy Storm Legacy, unlike connections it actually has all the content and the old lines which are much better performances than whatever this rubbish in connection is

i was a big fan of naruto and played many of the storm games, but after the main series i started to dislike it cause i really grew tired of the whole uchiha only lore. i know how popular the clan is but i want more uzumaki clan lore or something other that uchiha/otsutsuki driven stories which is why i stoped watching boruto. this just is icing on the cake
Well Id just play the game with japanese audio and it sounds great as usual. Though in terms of recapping the previous storm games, it has cut a ton of corners which sucks.
Maybe the engineer never deleted all the bad takes, and they were accidentally put in main the folder instead? 📂 🤷🏾♂️

Bro I've been saying that this game is using ai voice acting since the very launch. Has anyone heard sarada? She sounds like those text to speech ai on tik tok. Completely unnatural. Especially when it was fine in storm 4, why would it be so bad now. The only one that sounds actually great is sasuke. Massive props to yuri lowenthal for his amazing skills. You could also say that boruto was natural as well, but I don't like how whiny he is in this game. He sounds like he's always tired or annoyed.
Sorry to say it’s mostly game over for creative workers (where AI is applicable), at least in any big corporate setting. AI is magnitudes cheaper/faster, and that’s all that shareholders care about. As long as it’s legal to use, they will use it without a second thought. Will be interesting to see if this case goes any further if it does indeed go against contractual obligations. I don’t imagine they’ll be punished very harshly if it does, and that’ll help set precedent for every other corporation going forward.

AI voices tend to do that, just watch Neuro-sama on twitch shes a Vtuber fully voiced by an AI. Its very noticeable especially on her alter-ego Evil Neuro, which has a more emotive and natural sounding voice but because of that the way she speaks get wonky sometimes just like in those clips. But what baffles me the most is that they think that it was actually good lmao. Neuro doing that is acceptable cause its live and one take. Meanwhile these cunts really thought watching that part of naruto saying 'wAkE You UuUpP' and said PERFECT, release this shit $100.
