Hey Steve, did you try to walk up to it with a rockdrake in stealth mode? When in that mode you can block it with gates without being noticed. Like trapping a giga, no aggro.
Thylas allos deinonychus all have bleed, 1 week with 3x xp 3x taming and 3x breeding is more than enough to farm all you need to tame and breed up an army of them with prim saddles and send into the fight to kill dodorex solo even for starters(90% of them will most definitely die but that's what they were raised for) this tip is good for endgame players that are tek tier already and should have a ton of good dinos to kill the dodorex. I see this video more as a gimmicky challenge run than a helpful guide.
Like: - how many resources could it take? - Yess. And you simply need to be able to use tek pistol from gen 2, simply having a tek suit and simply have some element.

I would love to know WITH dinos. I don't have access to tek and nearly s*** my pants when it's spawned until I relealize it's not near my base. I don't think my dinos can take it on and months of hard work go down the drain. FYI: 14 (hp/melee)raptors, 10 theris, 1 (op) spino, 1 rex, 1 mammoth, 1 carno, 5 plant species x, and my fliers and much weaker pets/workers that aren't geared for fighting or at most glass cannons.
I'm hoping your next video is a more refined method. I just don't see this being a viable option when you have to spend half the night looking for it. It is a clever method, though.

Little tip: to save your dino gates de-render then render in of the trapped dodorex again: it will have lost aggro on them :)
Great vid any thoughts on using metal billboards over gateways they have just over half the health but cost 1/5 the resources to make

Do I understand it right, the dodorex spawns you look for it, when it despawns it spawns at the same spot so that you can prepare for killing it ?

I used like 10-25 gigas at level 230-241 with 14 mutations on each one I also had a op reaper that did 147000 damage

Use bear traps it will help you out much better
It's a bit late in the event but farming a boss for element and making the trap out of Tek would probably work really well

I don't get it, nooblets. You can build a trap with a new tribe, exit the tribe, enter your own tribe, and that trap won't break. At least in PvE
