My father was a simple man trying to make his way through the galaxy.
But was he a nurse/toolmaker ?
Kier Starmer vs Jango Fett, who comes out on top
@@A_Turner Count Binface.
Boba Fett for president? The Series wasn't the best Star Wars, but at least he has integrity.
Hmm, maybe that isn't so great; the Bounty Hunter that worked for Darth Vader has more integrity than some politicians.
😂😂😂😂
His dad certainly was a tool maker, look what he produced
my point exactly.
😂 😂 😂
A robot
In the Urban Dictionary, a tool is a person with a hugely over-inflated ego, who in an attempt to gain undue attention will act like a jackass who has deluded himself into thinking he's important and intelligent.
Brilliant 😂
"Go Girl" 👍 to the lady in Liverpool who gave him a piece of her mind 💯💯💯
My mum was a nurse when the health service used to be something the country was proud of, not a broken down wreck.
My sun is a nurse now, and he’s struggling, with all his colleagues, to keep the NHS alive.
@sharenwhitlock7737
And who has been ruining our country since 2010. Not the Labour Party. The NHS was in good shape before 2010, before the con party came back into office. Now after 13 yrs of tory government the NHS is in a big mess, along with the economy and other public services. The tories are just following the same old tory ideology and policies they are destroying our country, destroying our public services and millions of people's lives here in the UK
Yes it must be privatised now.

Sir Pebbledash : I’m on very good terms with many Tory MPs. I’m not ashamed about it and I’ve got very good friends who are Tories and they’ve been very, very good friends of mine for a very, very long time...and long may that last ! AND *_My dad was a toolmaker_*
The one thing Keir says that you can trust is that his dad was a toolmaker.
That Liverpudlian woman spoke for tens of thousands of disefranchised Labour left supporters and members. starmer has taken the largest membership of ANY political party in EUROPE, to this, a centre right nightmare that many will not vote for even though that risks another tory term. Ffs!
If you get the Toerags out, the following time you might get someone closer to what you want. If you don't, they'll tighten their grip on the media and the electoral process and we'll never be rid of them.
The polls show a massive lead for Labour in voting intentions though? And that large membership didn't win a general election, did it?
@@himoffthequakeroatbox4320 "If you get the Toerags out, the following time you might get someone closer to what you want" Yeah like we didn't with a decade of Tony Blair. There is no way electing a bunch of centre-right neo-liberals with slightly more progressive branding than the Tories helps any one on the left. People need to stop repeating this crap.
@@archvaldor So split vote and keep the Tories in power ? The left led Labour for 2 elections lost both ( 1 badly ) .
I felt her grief. It's just so depressing this is what we've ended up with. He makes it harder to vote Labour, every single day.

*Sir
He’s already made that joke before
@@pete456113 Yeah but if a red Tory makes a joke and it falls flat it doesn’t count
Y'know, the best thing about this montage is his response at conference regarding "Slogans or changing lives" as we see clip after clip after clip of him spouting slogans over and over again. There's a serious degree of PTSD from many Labour supporters who still so desperately hang their hat on this man as the saviour of the country. I predict the disappointment in the next decade or more is going to be palpable among all of us.
Starmer is not that good at dealing with direct criticism...nor are the fanboys online
STARMER " MY CABINET IS FULL OF TOOLS . THEY ARE IDENTICAL TO THE ONES IN SUNAKS".
(a few moments later): Sir Keir - "No, actually, I never said my dad was a tool maker, and I think tool makers should get up, go home, I'm opposed to what they're doing!" 😐
LMAOO
"With friends like Kier who needs enemies," haha
His dad was a toolmaker, he made a tool!
Starmer went to an expensive private school, it'd be more accurate to say his dad owned a toolmaking factory. Probably treated the workers like dirt, too.
I love the idea of these public servants being scolded in public, it's one of the most satisfying things to watch.
The pub owner is anti lockdown, thats why he was shouting.
@@Believe-you-me-I see, well it's very precarious then.
I think the models show isolating and hand washing are strong factors, as well as being vaccinated. It's generally not a panacea to blame everything on a lockdown. It depends when and for how long, it can be subjective and hard to get the information out consistently.
Especially here in America lots of guessing initially that led people to lack trust in public officials. Arguably the left and the right wings here wigs and Tories don't need any help losing trust.
That's what they exist for. It's like the political world's version of the comedy roast.

@@ethancole61 Don’t take your example from Johnson , answer the question…what is a toolmaker ? Perhaps Political Joe knows, but I doubt it very much, but it’s certainly not a light hearted joke.

Yes, I can see I'm not the only one who went straight there when I saw the video caption title. 😅
Yeah I thought this was going to be a parody video though so I'm confused.
You can trust everything that Keir doesn't say! 😂
Stormtrooper Starmer is just a symptom of the much bigger problem i.e. fake democracy fraudulently disguised as real democracy, as the UK lurches increasingly authoritarian in goosestep with the US and EU etc. Out of 650 MP’s, Starmer was the only one invited to become a member of the US rightwing neo-con's Trilateral Commission. The main role of 'Her Majesty's Most Loyal Opposition' is to maintain the grossly unfair, unjust status quo. Only a rightwing party like Blair's New Labour is allowed to govern. The successful right-wing media demonising and toppling of Corbyn was led by state broadcaster BBC. The energies of the many good people working for a fair and just society should be directed at fighting for a republic. It's the only realistic option to effect the necessary radical change. Anything less will always end in bitter disappointment.
I just fail to understand how none of his entourage - campaign managers, speech writers, shadow cabinet ministers etc. told him that describing yourself as the "son of a toolmaker" is just a setup for an old joke... or maybe none of _them_ like him either in which case it makes total sense.
Congratulations to your dad ,, hes made the biggest tool in the cabinet
And his dad had a tool as a son.
He made a tool with his toolmaker skills
"Tony Blair changed millions of lives for the better". Yeah, try telling that to the people of Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan.
@Don Doodat I have no idea. But what the fuck point are you trying to make here. Are you under the impression that being bombed by a Labour government is preferable to being bombed by a Tory government?
@Don Doodat so you are saying ultimately we are the USAs bitch?
His dad was a toolmaker, and what a tool he made with him.
Your dad would be ashamed of you for what you have done to the labour party

@@etgood6154 Clearly you’re not brain of Britain.
To be fair “my dad was a toolmaker and in a way so was Boris Johnson’s” is a great line 😂

OK, so are we really, really, really sure Keir isn't a Tory plant? If not, they must love the guy for dismantling the only effective opposition.
"guys, guys, i come from a working-class background! VOTE FOR ME!"
Keir uniting the party ... The Conservative party that is. The party he should be leading, not the Labour party.
Yeah I know and he made a great job of producing a tool like Starmer.
What a pathetic ignorant post.
His dad owned a tool making factory and produced a tool.
Unpopular opinion: the Labour party and anyone left of centre should not be criticising and undermining each other when we currently have one of history's most dysfunctional governments. It seems that right now there's only one major obstacle between the Labour Party and governance... the Labour party. I understand that there is value in scrutinising your own party's leadership but surely that is a job which can be most vigorously pursued when the Labour party is confidently in government? For now surely, let's present at least a somewhat united front and rise above the division of the Tories.
Couldn't agree more. We can have as many debates as we like about the future of Labour and its leadership IF they get elected into Government. Until then, let's not dilute their chances of winning by arguing amongst ourselves.
I agree. I no longer have any respect for Starmer after the Jeremy Corbyn kicking. I don’t say this as a fan of Corbyn, but rather because it shows his dishonesty. I hope this is all for keeping the news on his side because it does seem to be working. If he doesn’t carry his manifesto out that he laid out for his leadership election before he reneged much of it, we will riot.
"Unpopular opinion: the Labour party and anyone left of centre should not be criticising and undermining each other when we currently have one of history's most dysfunctional governments" You obviously did not live through the last Labour government. During that time Labour started an illegal war that killed 100,000 people, sold off public service to private finance initiatives, introduced workfare for benefit claimants, brought in tuition fees for students, snuggled up to Putin and China and flooded the country with Oligarch money. They gave a trillion dollars to bankers during the financial crisis. The full list of reactionary policies is much longer but I digress. They differed from the Tories only in style and rhetoric not substance. There is NO advantage to the left in voting for Starmer, who if anything is worse than Blair.
@@archvaldor The Blair government was NOWHERE NEAR as bad for the average citizen or the economy than any government we've had since 2010.
@@ftumschk You've conveniently ignored the 300,000 Iraqi civilians murdered as a result of Blair's decision.

Anything to do with Tory Blair
Will not end up well for the working class or working poor
Who live in this country
Starmer’s father, in reality, operated the Oxted Tool Co. His own independent toolmaking enterprise until the 1990s. By all accounts, he was a proficient self-employed tradesman, devoid of superiors or overseers, operating from a rented workshop on an industrial estate rather than a conventional factory setting.
My father was an artisan doesn't have the same ring to it
Well, he certainly made a huge tool in Keir.
He reprimanded a Labour MP…for supporting striking labourers.
You can’t make this stuff up.
“Are you a millionaire?” “No.” “Your house is worth over a million pounds.” “Yes but I didn’t pay that for it.” 😂😂
Talk about rubbing salt in the wounds 😆
to be fair - the word "Millionaire" no longer usually applies to having a million in cash or assets - but to earning that amount - every year..
With a PM like Kier who needs enemies?
He really did make a right fecking TOOL !😅
Yes he made a right Tool when he made you Starmer
Let's face it we want the Tories out and we need change. Voting for this guy will only realistically get the Tories out. I don't think we'll get the change we need to address the massive imbalance in society even if this guy was in power for 100 years. Corbyn was all about making sure that poorer people got a better deal through tiny changes to the way the top 10% are taxed. The Forde report and his key messaging will mean that one day historians look upon him as the person to lead us through these dark times
So Starmer should get a free pass?
@@skyblazeeterno that is 100% not what I am saying. Although having said that I would take most over the Tories right now, but not just at any cost. The more I see of Starmer, the more indifferent I start to dislike him
Your point? Starmer is proud of his working class parents. Funny you don't hear much about posh boy Jeremy Corbyn talking about growing up in a country manor house?
Well this is unusual. For once Starmer speaks the truth.
His dad certainly did make one hell of a tool.
"My dad was a toolmaker, he made me".

That house argument on GMB was such a stupid argument. I don’t like the man but whatever. His house wasn’t 1million when bought. So what’s the point. Typical Piers Morgan
One thing I've always wondered: what tools did his dad use to make his tools? And did he make them as well?
In this context "toolmaking" is the making of tools to used for plastic moulding, press tools and other high precision parts. It’s regarded by many to be the pinnacle of skilled work on the bench (so to speak).
The tools were made by a turtle.
Ah, for that you'll need a set of toolmaker's tools, which are made by a toolmaker's toolmaker. For that, you'll need a set of toolmaker's toolmaker's tools, whi- oh I see what you mean.
Lol 😆 Joking aside my Grandfather used to make tools that other people would use to make other tools that were used in shipbuilding, like edge turners to turn the sharp edges of metal sheets.
All very funny I'm sure, but it just shows the ignorence of most people. Pick up Any manufactured item, a toolmaler has had a part in it's creation. Without them we would be using logs or stones to hit and fashion things. Go try that.
Liar Starmer. His dad was a manager of a tool factory.
Lies all the time.
Why you trying to trash him? He is literally the only other option to a Tory government. Also, why is he not allowed to speak about his family? It’s ok to be friends with Tories too. That’s probably a good thing for our politics!
The Tories are currently planning to send asylum seekers to camps and have set up offshore prisons to house them. It’s not okay to be friend with Tories and if Kier Starmer is the only option to a Tory government then we should be complaining about that, very loudly
Because with someone as disingenuous as him, what’s to say he’ll be better than the Tories.
He’s living proof of that 😂
He needs to start saying this in part for jest the way Sadiq Khan started saying “i don’t know if i mentioned this, but my Dad was a London bus driver”
Keir Starmer: Turning Labour into Tory Party Mk 2..
It is so ironic that Rodney Starmer named his favourite boring tool after the founder of the Labour Party, that it would end up as a favoured tool of the establishment.
He is possibly one of the few politicians who make John Major seem, in hindsight, to be a man of panache and dynamism.
My father told me when I was 15 years old . Keir,, son , your the biggest tool I ever made 😱🤮
This hits harder 1 year on… Then wonders why everyone laughed at him in the studio! 🤣

He makes me sick that despite all this the labor party is our main hope of getting rid of these right wing Tories were currently plagued with.
To be replaced with red Tories
And Starmer is the tool he made
He’s just so working class… that’s why he’s purged anyone who’ll stick up for workers rights 🤷♂️
Well Keir Tory-Lite certainly is a tool.
The problem with Kier is that his speeches come across as just that. Written speeches that he doesn’t deviate from. Blair’s speeches, although rehearsed, seemed more off the cuff and personal
