I meant to say also, whenever you return, it`s best to come from around May onwards, into the summer months..better chance of good weather-- you can never guarantee fine weather, especially as we`re perched to the West of Europe, in the North Atlantic ocean, with the prevailing winds coming from the south west, crossing over that ocean, picking up moisture and falling here as rain... May this year was lovely---sunshine most of the month, then rainy in June before improving again--just the way it is here--climate-change is also making the seasons harder to predict. If you travel up the west coast from Kerry through county Clare and into Galway / Mayo/Sligo/Donegal, you`ll see the `real Ireland` and ` meet` the Irish, better than in the cities.... scenic countryside/sea scapes, and pretty towns and villages -- whenever you make it, we love to see visitors and hope you make some lovely memories!

How was the weather during your whole trip? Is Dublin as cloudy and no sunshine as others say ?

Mainly it’s cloudy but there were days when the clouds disappeared and the sun came out

I am from Ireland and it is a myth about the weather. The weather on the whole is quite mild all year round. The summers are reasonable warm and sunny. Never goes beyond 30 degrees Cel in summer or below 2 degrees Cel in winter. I do not for the life understand where this rain and cloud myth came from. It is like the old the song "It never rains in Southern California, to pours".

It really depends on the time of year you come. June July August are good for warm sunny weather. September Oct and November are lovely also ❤🇮🇪

I think Starbucks coffee has a weird aftertaste. Also overpriced. I can't imagine why anyone would go to Ireland where the food is so good and eat American fast food! Such a waste.

Wait a minute...your 1st meal in Dublin was burger and chips..you do realize we have some of the best places to eat Cuisine from all over the World, including Traditional Irish Restaurants with Fresh Salmon, Fresh River Trout, Irish Lamb, Irish Beef, etc etc Beautiful freshly made Traditional Irish Breads etc etc. Then, Starbucks for Coffee???? Everyone knows you go to Bewley's for Coffee in Dublin or Kylemore Bakery. Then... The Hard rock Cafe for dinner ????. And eating food from plastic containers. Why? We have fantastic places to sit and eat lunch ( and i dont mean American diners) and fresh Takeaways too, Deli Style fresh Sandwiches, Wraps, etc made for you with fresh ingredients of your choice.

I really appreciate your comment because I definitely look up to the irish tradition,I think it’s amazing and I also know that dublin is known for a good variety of food to choose. However, it was a school trip and all the places we went to were decided by my teacher. Her intention was to eat as fast as possibile mainly because we had to walk and visit all day long.I understand what you said and I can’t wait to come back to dublin to taste all the delicious plates you have named.
