Went to Northern Sole on Lee's recommendation. Great fish and chips. Same for Ray's 2. Thanks Lee. Great video if you and Lucy - but the food must have been nearly cold by the time you got to eat it!!
We always used Ray No1 opposite Milords by dove park. Has that closed? Their fish and chips were superb.

Looked amazing. We missed that when we was there in April. Definitely going next trip. Also the one up by Melia you recommended just ran out of time

Was in Benidorm last week at your Sherrys recommendation. Food nice but funny attitude with owners not sure whether it was them being serious or taking the micky out of us!
Visited Northern Sole and it was one of, if not the best fish and chips I've ever had. The curry sauce IS the best I've ever had. Great service and fairly priced. Highly recommended.

Great video! Pepper in mushy peas i am struggling with through to be honest and I wouldn't have curry sauce anywhere near that but the plate of food but it looked super yummy 🙂
I suggested Benidorm to the other half for this summers holiday - we fly out to Catania, Sicily in August instead 😂

Londoner born and bred, everywhere I've been it's traditional to have the cod skinless but plaice and haddock skin on so that's what I'm used to btw ketchup on fish....abomination
I think I'd have eaten both both those before you'd got your salt/ vinegar and salt on! Wish we got those portion sizes in UK.

Rays 1 Best in Benidorm as you say. Teresa and Juan who took over from her father came from Yorkshire, who we knew in our visits to Rays 1

Rays 1 is the best place in town and they certainly don't leave skin on the fish. They also cook fresh and don't part cook items and leave them standing on the top of the hotplate

Haddock with skin on with mushy peas defo gravy on your chips. Bread bun not sliced bread. Lincolnshire fish and chips are great as well. Ps put the lemon in the bin 😁

A'reyt Lucy. Too much mucking about for haddock eating Bradfordian. A work colleague from Sheffield was brought by another from West Yorkshire to my house before I moved nearer your home patch to have fish and chips. He had hated fish and chips before working in a haddock area.
Friends from near me have been known to refuse cod as a "Mucky, worm ridden thing!"
Like you, I try to eat what the locals eat when in Spain, but I am guilty of going for fish and chips in Benidorm visiting friends.
I actually eat allsorts over here. I love a curry, Italian, Thai, as well as Spanish good and good old British stuff sometimes. It's just a 'thing' with fish and chips I like to save it for a kind of special English treat when I'm in England haha

Northern sole is our favourite we have to share one tho. Unfortunately they are shut on our days off at the mo. Cafe India has dropped off a bit in our opinion. Curry leaf is no1 for us

Mr MacMaster loves his fish and chips, and is the fish Atlantic cod or Bacalao which is not the same taste. I'm not a big lover of fish and chips but these look very really nice.
