This is so interesting. I absolutely love your reviews of old 90's graphics and cad software from cheap companies like Expert. This was so typical of the 90's, and how so many half baked companies jumped on board to create software for the flood of hardware hitting the markets back then. Cheap, broken, crappy software was everywhere. You could walk into any Office Depot back in the 90's, and there would be racks and racks of Expert software boxes of all kinds of graphics and cad software you could buy for cheap. Your reviews of this stuff are both nostalgic and funny.

"I don't know how it works, but it doesn't work" True words of any tradesman. Cool video.

You know, you could actually ask the developers these questions! Quick Google search of the "[Program Manager's name] + Expert Software" pulls up her LinkedIn account as the first (non-advertisement) result - If you log in to see the full resume, it even lists Expert Software as a past Job and has Quick CAD as one of the software pieces beneath that heading. Maybe she could tell you what happened...if she's proud enough to list it on her resume, maybe there was a scenario where the software didn't operate so poorly? Either way, it'd be really cool to know.

oh wow! I did my own googling, I spent about twenty minutes on it and couldn't find anyone on linkedin! thank you, I'm going to try this... though I'm not sure, after the thorough roasting I gave this app, that I feel OK contacting this person >_>

Maybe if you just prefaced it with something like "was there an environment where this program worked well, and if so, what was it used for?" I dunno, haha! Just make it clear that you aren't targeting her or saying she sucked as a Program Manager or anything, it's just that when you actually tried to use the software, it did not seem to work as intended.

You did not notice that all closed objects where not transparent the grid did not show inside squares or other closed objects.

I used to rent software like this from my local library. I always wanted to find some sandbox thing I could play around in...

Just found you from your NES video. You're fucking great man, keep up the good work! You deserve a ~bit more recognition than you're getting.
