Went to another GameStop that just last week had fat packs - and for a dollar less than Walmart’s $7.99 price - and they were sold out. Only a few blasters left. My go-to Barnes & Noble had one Update blaster box left and I took it. Last week the blaster I bought there I hit a Jackson Merrill rainbow foil true RC. Wish me luck !
Absolutely love Topps update. I love your videos keep em coming. It’s weird sometimes retail blasters are awesome and other times they’re terrible. In the end it’s all a gamble and it’s usually not in the buyers favor unfortunately. It’s still fun regardless. Again love the content!!

I've opened 3 retail blasters and all of the holiday cards were base ones....but I did get a Mothers Day Josh Gibson and an Acuna Stratospheric Stars. The later seems pretty rare as they come out at 1 per every 5 blaster cases.
I think I've ripped around 15 target blasters, with Elly debut holiday and Gold /2024, an Adam Duvall SSP, Jack O'Lantern Ohtani Trout and SIX paw patrols are the highlights. Glad the paw patrols sell so easily

Only big parallel I've pulled outside of a Soto HFA was a Skeenes Duo card skeleton out of 50. Just bought 10 hangers from Gamestop, hopefully they'll be fun as well.

Not a bad rip, only one royal blue parallel and not of a rookie. Zero gold /2024 which I found a lot of in hobby jumbos. All Walmarts/Targets near me are out of Update. GameStop was well-stocked on blasters but someone cleaned them out of hangers (though they’re available on their site).

Funny, we thought the same thing about Logofractor boxes, because they had "hobby direct" ones that we ripped a case of and it was fire. It had a red acuna auto, orange J Dom auto, etc.. Then ripped the ones you bought online from Topps and Fanatics, they were ok, but not like the first case.

Hit a Langford True RC Blue, Skenes debut blue, Holliday Rainbow Foil, 2 mems, Shota Debut gold, Wynn debut Yellow Crackle /50, Caminero Mythical /299, Paw Patrol, a couple other #'d cards, and a few decent Yellows. The number of dart throw were what I was hoping for and this time they luckily hit pretty good.

I opened a couple blasters today, and got an error card. Hector Neris base holiday parallel, they have his name as "H...CTOR". His base card has the E in his name so it's not across the board. But my luck hasn't been too great on the parallels either. Always love watching you rip.
but didn't you say they have outside auditor to make sure they don't do anything fishy, wouldn't stacking the first couple of boxes with one player be that? just wondering
Great video! This was exactly what I was commentating on yesterday. Different SKUs means it's very possible certain blasters contain better/more hits. Love to see a video where you get 3 from a Target, Card Shop, Fanatics/Topps, Walmart, Meijer, and Gamestop and I bet there will be major differences. Okay. Taking off the conspiracy hat for now. lol
We had absolute garbage luck on pulls from 5 hobby direct blasters and 2 jumbo packs. Have 3 more direct blasters on the way and 5 fanatics promo boxes coming. Hopefully better luck with those!
I’ve opened 8 blasters from my LCS and haven’t pulled anything notable along with 2 target blaster and 6 fats packs from game stop with nothing notable from either of those either. I keep watching videos of people pulling heat from up and my buddy bought his first baseball blaster ever because I told him he should try update and he got an auto, legend HFA and a black cars parallel all out of his first blaster. The good stuff just isn’t coming my way lol.

Logistically, it seems tough for Topps to spend too much time filtering for such a massive product like this but it seems plausible that a disproportionate number of good hits go to Hobby (not sure about h blasters). Also, I'm confused as well about the Fanatics boxes. All three releases have had incorrect info on the site and also the odds are even different from both the site and reality.
How were your black/gold inserts as far as print quality? All of my Mystical and one Black Gold had what looks like glue/adhesive marks underneath the top of the card finish. Sent them back to Topps already just think I had a bad box.
I opened five blasters from target and all my parallels were junk, $7 card was probably the best. Maybe the issue is there are no stars just about 15 cards we would like to hit out of 350. At least when you’re missing rookies but hitting Witt, Ohtani, and Judge parallels it feels better. There are so many bad cards in the checklist that it makes me miss pulling a vet parallel. Or maybe they saved the good ones for fanatics. I hope so because I have 24 boxes coming 😂
More than anything, I would love to know who exactly gets/sells EA vs. SE vs. Hobby Direct. Have seen a few rumors, but never a concrete answer. In Series 2, I noticed you could hit the Insert Platinum 1/1's out the the SE Hanger/Blasters but not the EA. I hit a City to City Corbin Red auto /25 out of a Hanger box. I noticed the EA hanger odds was 1 : 13,442 and the SE were 1 : 14,311. Both high odds, but 900 Hanger boxes is a pretty big difference at those odds. Also for the gold to /50 autos of that insert the SE odds are actually better. So it would be nice to know which product I am actually buying.
The problem is when your LCS charges $35 for a blaster, is it worth it at that price? Also be sure to double check any Autumn Tales cards, because I missed it the first time when I pulled it and it ended up being a Babe Ruth #'d 75!

Nobody is CT scanning newly released retail or even Flagship Hobby. It is only a concern on higher end or older products. It is a concern, but at this point doesn't effect 99% of the hobby.
