Thank you for taking the time to explain the stops on an organ.. I find myself always in awe with the organists as they play this magnificent instrument. I hope and pray that the pipe organ and those who play it don't disappear from our faith tradition. That is quite a talent that God has blessed you and every organist with!
As a long time piano player (40+ years) but only having recently been asked to be a substitute organist in my local congregation, this video was incredibly helpful. Your explanations were clear and concise. Thank you for taking the time to share this video.
Hi Easton, Thanks for your comment. You may find another video of mine helpful. It's called "How to accompany hymns and songs". Just search TH-cam Steven Nisbet for it. Then if that's useful, try "Reharmonising last verses of hymns - Parts 1 and 2". Best wishes, Steven Nisbet
It's an Allen QLF-315, with Quad Suite (American, English, French & German sample sets) . I've had it 14 years, and it had been in a church for about 4 years before that. It became available when they upgraded to a draw-stop model. Cheers, Steven Nisbet
Thank you for this video.

@@stevennisbet9398 Thank you, I am benefitting from your videos as well, as a pianist sub/organist in Bangor PA. Many thanks to you!
Thanks for the explanation - I found it helpful!
Is that an old Allen organ?

My question too. Never an Allen Fan.
That organ sounded awful. Typical Allen electronic crap. And cheap keys! I don’t care to hear the clicking!
Talk too much instead of doing demonstration. Bored.
