Very recently my father visited Bhawanl palace in Bangladesh. During independence as a refugee when his family was forced to migrate to India he never thought he would ever be be able to visit his birth place again. It is an unforgettable experience for him. But he was saddened to see the palace, no maintenance of the place. He had tears in his eyes to see the ruins and remembered how it looked when he visited the palace as a child. Political reasons might have drawn lines on the map but our soul is one. Let us do all that is necessary to maintain such places of historical importance.
I was the direct descendant of the Bikrampur Uppor Zila Zamindari... Even my grandfather and his brothers had to sell off/ run away from those mleechas... Time will decide their fate one day for sure...
