I don't think any of the those options are suited for Arsenal. Lookman is an inside forward just like you said in the video but Arteta likes to use his wingers high and wide, hugging the touchline. Lookman isn't that kind of player and will need the leftback to provide the width, which isn't something Arsenal have at the moment. Marmoush plays in a really counter attacking team and there could be issues with him adapting to Arsenal's playing style. Marmoush ane Havertz also can hardly function in the same team effectively as they would both prefer a different type of partner. Also Arteta is not going to use four attackers, he needs his left 8 to be a duel winner and Marmoush just couldn't do it. Finally Baena could fix some of the problems on the left side but we again run into the same issue, he isn't a good enough ball winner and he wouldn't necessarily provide the width for Martinelli. Arsenal either need a striker who can add something to their transition while also being a real target in the box like a certain Victor Osimhen or a touchline winger like Antoine Semenyo
My ideal signing is Semenyo. He puts up decent numbers in the PL already, he’s able to operate on both sides and his end product feels far more developed than Martinelli. There’s probably silly money needed in Jan to sign him (as I’d imagine with Mitoma and Mbeumo), but A.Semenyo would be very exciting.
@@yungdkay1008 he is technically right footed even though he is incredibly two footed and also likes to cut inside and have a shot so I don't really see a reason why he can't play on the left for Arsenal. Also his ability to play on the right just as well is a plus, he can fill in until Saka is back and also be his back up while also being a potential starter on the left. He isn't the only option but I really like the player, he is prime age, an Arsenal fan, solves a lot of the issues the team has and you can probably get him for around 50 million which is doable in January, it just makes to much sense to me
@dimitarrizov6816 If he can effectively play at the left flank then it's worth the deal. Only few players can be effective when facing a low block. I like mitoma although he's output is low, I like Nico Williams but he's output is also low. I strongly believe we should go for Florian wirtz but he'll be super expensive
@yungdkay1008 Wirtz isn't a winger, he needs a strong overlap from fullback and Arsenal don't have that player. Arsenal will have to sign Wirtz plus someone like Davies and probably a different striker who is more of a channel runner like Isak or Sesko. It's just too many changes. Semenyo can have an instant impact in January and doesn't require big adjustments in the team, while also allowing Arsenal to go big for a striker in the summer
Don’t get me wrong, lookman is amazing but like martinelli, I don’t think he fits. Our left back nearly always inverts meaning the left winger needs to be high and wide and it puts players like lookman and martinelli out of their comfort zone. Considering they’re both players that thrive off confidence, I think he’d struggle unless he plays with a fullback that likes to overlap.
I think this is just because of the inconsistency in availability on our left side and Martinelli’s shortcomings. The attack is becoming much more relational with players switching positions with one another. Someone like Marmoush or Lookman would want to drive to the center which would trigger other players around them to hold width. Martinelli works well in the center but just can’t drive from the touch line to the inside.
The issue with a lot of football content creators when analyzing players is that they completely miss one of the most important aspects. The league, team, and tactics certain players play in. They think its just a cut & paste solution without any caveats Lookman is a great example for exposing how easily these Football content creators fall for recency bias. He's playing well in Serie A, with a team playing to his strengths, and its tactics are far different from Arsenal's. Lookman failed dismally with two separate EPL teams, and therefore, the risk of him failing again is great. Failing with two separate teams in the same league should be more than a clear indicator that the league doesn't suit the player, but football content creators just shove in the name because most fans are crying out for them
as someone from Germany, I'd say he's slightly overrated, he's quite one dimensional, and BVB fans complain about the same thing we complain about with Martinelli, that he's keeping his head down and doesn't see his colleagues. I'd rather have Marmoush as LW, my favourite tho would be Mitoma.
@ Gittens may be be frustrating at times but he’s only 20. These frustrations will be ironed out of his game with more game time. The same can’t be said for martinelli, he’s arguably got more frustrating and one dimensional as he’s matured. Gittens has an extremely high ceiling! A great 1v1 dribbler, rapid , great baller striker with both feet. I like what I’ve seen from marmoush but I haven’t seen enough of him to properly judge. Mitoma is a fantastic player who would suit our system, just the injuries and lack off G/A would put me off.
Best Options IMO: on LW: Nico Williams (expensive) or Semenyo (budget); on CF: Isak (expensive) or Sesko/Osimhen (~50mil), on LCM: i don't think with Havertz and Merino there is need for another player
LCM is such a weird role because that player is almost a second deep midfielder rather than a attacking mid. Over the last few seasons its guys like Rice and Xhaka(merino too but he's new) who have thrived there. Think Bruno Guimaraes, that type of profile. Obviously not in January but someone like Baleba or Reinders( Milan) could be the right players
Literally one of the clips Lookman is the widest player but all the comments are filled with people saying the isn’t a touchline winger? He literally thrives in space and taking on his fullback
We cant do PL players unless it’s permanent due to sterling and neto being on loan already, considering this, basically any PL striker good enough for us wont be allowed to leave on loan, so forget anybody from the PL in jan
M. Odegaard's performance is also not as optimal as last year, which can create many opportunities for goals with B. Saka. Currently Arsenal is losing deadly attacking power in this area. Saka was injured, only Odegaard was injured. Martineli, Trossard, Jesus were very bad at not being able to open up opportunities. This is the key to Arsenal's current weakness. And a finisher who can complete a goal well. CUNHA AND DAAMSGARD are very good to bring in at this time because of the team's needs.

I love all 3 shouts tbh, all for their respective differences. Lookman might be tough to get in January with Atalanta potentially pushing for a title, like you mentioned for Marmoush he’s not quite the finished article, so for this list Baena would make the most sense especially playing him in the role mentioned or even on the left of a 4-4-2 w/ Saka on the right & Havertz & Martinelli/Sterling up front to mimic the role he plays at Villareal.
Isak is the dream, you splash the cash on him if you can...period. The other options are plan b. An absolute NO on Baena. No need. Alternative to Merino, Havertz, Rice, or Trossard in that left 8 role I think Arsenal fans would rather see Nwanieri as he could become our Musiala (Wilshire)...someone who can break the lines on the dribble as Odegaard gets involved more in the build up. In short, we can handle that one inhouse.
I honestly don't see Newcastle selling Isak so it a moot point. Nobody would realistically stump up the £150m to buy him, certainly not Arsenal, we'd more likely spend £50-£70m on Sesko and try and develop him into someone as good as Isak. Honestly Sesko would be my priority target since we're currently having to play Havertz as our no.9 and he just doesn't have the same type of lethality in front of goal as a no.9 should. He DOES do the holdup play well though but that's about it. Much better better off in that left 8 or sub for Odegaard.
Your player selection is good but partnering Rice and Ordegaard in a double pivot is disastrous so although you might have some great players on your list, your tactical know how is wanting.
I don't think people understand how the January transfer works nowadays. Clubs will not sell due to their own objectives be it CL qualification, avoiding relegation, winning their league etc. Even if they inflate the transfer value that is not as much as potentially not hitting their target......then of course if they get a replacement the price is also inflated, thereby no real financial benefit. You can get players who are on the fringe of their respective clubs squad.....but that means they won't be Arsenal 1st team level. The only real exception is players out of contract in the summer or if a player insists on leaving- but that is a dangerous game to play for them as they may have to stay in place. That's why it would be a miracle if we got a truly world class player. Then you have to bear in mind that rarely do January transfers work immediately- no matter the club they join it takes time to adept to the new club's tactics, new environment etc. There are benefits though in that they are up to pace the following season and are nicely settled. These are the reasons why you don't see much action in the January window, and Gooners who think Arsenal will buy and all the issues will be solved are setting themselves up for disappointment and a lot of complaining in February.

This is superficial dross. There was once a period when your analysis was worth listening to. That time has long gone. Good luck farming engagement Dave. Unsubscribed 👍
Omar marmoush is arsenal's missing piece
Still they won't win the league
first
Come on Dave lookmans a Everton flop we don’t need another left winger we have gabby only raf leao would be an upgrade
Dave ur just jumping on the bandwagon none of these are world class players none would improve arsenal they all a risk Raphael leao is a much better player than all three
