Thanks for sharing.Lots of good ideas here. I also want to mount my battery box on the right side of my downwind board. I've been thinking about the same issues which you have addressed. I like your idea of being able to mount the box temporarily on the bottom of the board. I've been worrying about damaging my box. I'll follow your example. Great job. Cheers.
Thanks! Yeah before it always took two hands to handle the board, one for the board, one for the box. This dual lock piece at the back of the box works wonders
1:59 the antenna is a small wire about 28mm long unshielded, its by the voltage display so if you put the box around that way it will keep the antenna as out of the water as it can be. The signal can be affected by other things around it , especially the board and the water but keeping the actual antenna out of the water is the single greatest improvement you can make.
Yep, there is an actual antenna, in the box. But in my setup, the actual antenna (and the full box) are always under water. So they can't get any signal. The signal goes by the cable linking the box to the motor - it is also playing the role of antenna and gives new opportunities.
Some great tips and ideas! Does the 3M tape on the bottom of the board feel like it is adding any drag or such a small amount of tape it doesn't matter?
You can also get a local shaper to make a recess for the box
Genius Tips! Thank you!

Hello Stev!
No, you really cannot feel it, and it quickly gets out of the water once on foil.
