- Full review of the Paradisus Cancun by Melia resorts. A must stay if you are traveling to Cancun. The video shakes a bit but worth to watch. Spent the day at Isla Mujeres and used Aquaworld for excursions. Also did Jungle Tour. Great time.
This has got to be the BEST video on TH-cam covering the Paradisus. October 2019 will be our first time there. We are staying in the Royal Service tower 5 area. The entire resort looks amazing. Thanks for the great video!

Yes you can upgrade at resort. Honestly I would just take a shuttle to the airport.

It's a great resort. Since I watched my favourite Telenovela "Rubi" which was filmed here, is this my dream place to visit once. But it's super expensive. The amount of alga on the beach is disgustingly terrible though....

awesome video! thanks for the best tour available of this hotel in awesome resolution. Been here years ago when it was the gran melia, but returning in October. Have been looking for a video of their 1 bedroom suite but cant find one anywhere, not even their website. i may have to do one when i am there! Do you know what their bottled beer selections are? years ago when i went they had all my favorites including stella artois and corona.
amman rawji thank you so much. They had bottled beer in the royal service section and it was dos Equis, heiniken, Azteca and and a couple other I can't remember.
amman rawji also we did a tour of two different suites. They are incredible. Awesome views and a large living room with separate bedroom. One was in tower 3 on the 6th floor dead center of hotel and the other was in tower 1 on the 7th floor with a Jacuzzi tub on balcony. You can definitely wheel and deal with prices.

Fred Simmons they give you a free bed if you upgrade to family concierge. That's my only complaint is the beds should be first come first serve. The beds sit empty for the most part.

Martin Elizondo I used Cheap Carribean for my whole trip. The prices dropped alot so I called them up to upgrade and it was $250 for the week. Totally worth it. Good luck.

Thank you for the kind words. We always stay for a little over a week and we booked that trip through either Expedia or cheap Caribbean. You’re better off booking excursions right at the resort it is much cheaper and you’ll have peace of mind. The resort was nice but it is awful big. I would highly recommend either the Iberostar Cancun or the real Palace a Peninsula we stayed at both places to to three times and they are both beautiful

Hi, I have a few questions! I am going here in March! 1. What are your favorite restaurants that are part of the all inclusive price? 2. Are the waves in the ocean really strong/would a not so strong swimmer want to stay away from the ocean? 3. I read some really bad reviews about Aquaworld.. what was your experience? I wanted to do the dolphin excursion!!

Blue Agave was cool and the sushi was awesome. I did use royal service alot. All the restaurants are decent. My experience at aquaworld was awesome. It was $140 for 3 excusions and a wave pool to learn how to boogie board. The wave are extremely strong. Use caution please.

MU19HD the hotel is very large and you never felt crowded at all. Most of the couple hung out in the adults only pool and plenty of little ones in the kids pool. The average age was 40s to 50s I would say. Overall awesome place.

Nope. Not at all. We had Royal Service in Tower 3 and my wife and I had ALL amenities of Royal service in tower 5. The only thing is tower 5 is adults only also so my daughter couldn't come over with us. But it worked good cause my sister came also and we took turns watching kids so we can all enjoy royal service from time to time. Ed G27 I’m going in August, I asked the hotel how much to upgrade to royal service and they quoted me like 1500 for 2 weeks, is there anyway I can get it cheaper?
BenzMuzik did you book directly thru the hotel or with someone different. I booked with cheap Carribean and it was very cheap to upgrade. The prices dropped and I called them up. It was like $250 to upgrade my whole family.

BenzMuzik monitor the prices with who you booked with and if the prices drop they should be able to upgrade you.
Great video Governor. We are staying here this coming August. We did The Reserve (formerly known as Royal Service). I didn’t notice a swim up bar in The Reserve pool? How fast is the butler coming to service you if there truly is no swim up bar there? Anything else we should do or be aware of? Best food? Do they offer too shelf liquor?
There is no swim up bar at the royal service but the staff is quick on their feet they have good food over there as well and top shelf liquor the rest of the resort has decent food is massive is also beautifully decorated and you guys will have a blast please feel free to reach out with any more questions enjoy
@@EdG27 how is the wifi there? Any issues sending texts, making reservations through the app? ... also, I noticed they no longer have the “market grille” which was the Brazilian style steak house. Is there any restaurant there that has good steak that you don’t have to pay for separately?

monito19802000 I am sure you can upgrade at hotel. We booked through Cheap Carribean and noticed the prices drop a lot. So we asked them if we can upgrade from normal to family concierge and it was no problem. I am sure you can also make a deal with the hotel. They are flexible with the prices so try and make a deal. Hi! This was awesome! Thank you! My husband and I plus our almost 5 year old are going to Paradisus in February for our 10 year anniversary. I'm so excited! Especially after your review. I saw one of your vlogs saying heading back to Connecticut from Oklahoma. We live in Connecticut! Milford. Anyway, we booked a luxury oceanfront suite (the newly renovated rooms). Will call to see how much to upgrade to family concierge. We booked right through Paradisus ..same price as cheaptickets but better room upgrade. Usually we use cheap caribbean. Anyway a question:
If we don't upgrade to Family Concierge can we buy a bed by the kids pool? I'm sure the service is still great, right? We tip. But would be cool to try adults only and that restaurant while our kid is in the kids club. By the way right now the kids club is closed but they plan to open in January. Fingers crossed. We go on cruises and the kids club for 1-2 hours 2x a day is so helpful to relax a bit.
Your family looks so fun!! We plan on going on another cruise from NYC next year. You should do a cruise vlog! It's AMAZING. Plus no flights. Right out of NYC so just a drive from CT. There's a channel called Sea Cruisers and they get tens of thousands of likes per cruise vlog. You would be great at it!! (That's the marketer in me talking.)

Way to steep. Is that thru the hotel or booking agency? You can negotiate the price at hotel also. We we're lucky when booking with cheap Caribbean the prices dropped so I used it to upgrade.b

Ed G27 Hey Ed! We are booking direct with Melia. They could only offer us 2 Lagoon View rooms. We are a family of 5 (3 kids, hubby and I). We haven't taken the concierge service...but I see you highly recommend?
Saira Khan I would compair prices with Cheap Carribean and absolutely recommend family concierge. Every day they left new toys and stuff for kids in our room. They book all your restaurants for you and give you and husband access into tower 5 for some real nice wine and dining. Drop kids off in the kids zone for some alone time for you guys. Hope this helps.

Global National Royal Service is an upgrade for people traveling with no kids. It's like an adult only pass. The Family Concierge spoils the kids and gives the adults the same amenities as the Royal Service upgrade. So you would have access to tower 5 and also get assigned a buttler which makes all reservations for you.

There are 11 of us due to arrive on Tuesday. I'm a senior with walking issues & I'm scared it will be difficult for me to navigate the grounds. Can I call for a shuttle to get around?
I am sure you can. There are plenty of ramps and elevators to use. The staff is more than willing to accommodate everything.
@@EdG27 I am wracked with arthritis so I hope you are right. I never dreamed when we agreed to go with my son & family that this resort was so massive. I am used to the peacefulness and small resorts/accommodations in Sanibel Island.

My wife and I are planning a Royal Service stay in April of 2019. You said you've been to Cancun a few times. Do you perhaps know how the weather is in April? And was the beach that full of seaweed your whole stay?
Sean Murphy the weather in April is around 80. Bring plenty of sun block. I mean plenty. It's very expensive down there to buy it and the sun is on top of you all day. That was the first time I have seen seaweed that heavy. It was there for most of the week. We always go in May and never seen it like that before. I wish you guys a great trip.

Hey Ed- I'm wondering if you could answer 2 q's for me- one was there lunch options in the a la carte restaurants? And 2 were there smoking areas throughout the resort?
Joanna Ross I saw some people smoking near the pool and on the beach. Blue Agave offers lunch and so does Market Grill. The best lunch by far is La Palapa on the adults side but you need either the Royal service or family concierge upgrade. They also offer an amazing breakfast to. Hope this helps

Hotel, flights drinks and food all in one package. Cheap Carribean did a great job.

We used transportation thru our booking company but taxi are everywhere. Drinks are fine.

Yes it is.
How much is the upgrade of the royal service?
Are there any stores that sell liquor bottles or beers or do you order that from room service?
They bring you beer and have 4 bottles in the rooms. Rum, Tequila, Whiskey and Vodka.

Ed G27 glad to hear that and thanks for the reply. If u don’t mind I have a few questions before I book Paradisus.. is there free transportation from and to the airport? How was the food? And how do you get those beds on the beach?
tony duong Transportation was $20 round trip thru Cheap Carribean. The food in the was good but the buffet for breakfast gets old. I booked family concierge and got 2 beds free. They charge for beds which is my only complaint. If you upgrade to Royal Service or family concierge beds are free on adult side at tower 5.
tony duong how many people are going? Any kids or just adults? If so look into family concierge for the family or Royal Service for adults. Both upgrades are amazing. It's like having a VIP pass in the hotel and you also get a buttler that helps with everything. If you do book and stay there go to the pool area and Aquaworld will take care of all your excursions. For $140 per person and $70 for kids we were able to choose 3 excusions and a full hour at the wave pool across the street. We did jungle tour, pairasailing and took the boat to Isla Mujeres which included food and drinks all day. Incredible deal. Take a look at my other videos of the excursion. Good luck

What kind of liquor quality is there for all-inclusive (free) package? You mentioned top shelf liquor somewhere, or everywhere?
Blake top shelf in tower 5. Need either family concierge or Royal service upgrade for it though.
Blake The liquor was legit. Nothing was watered down. At other resorts I drank constantly and felt nothing. You can't do that at Paradisus. 😲 Nothing is watered down. You'll love it. ☮️
ACTUALLY it was top shelf everywhere. Would have saved me $50+ if you just told me straight up and would stop bragging about your royal service.

They had live music and a dance club. Yes there is a small cafe and the staff was amazing.
I am planning to book this resort for October. Do you highly recommend this resort for Solo travelers. Do you have any do's and don't for enjoying this resort. Do the rooms not sleep 4? The website says they sleep 4 but you said they had to bring a cot in for your daughter.
Our room.was a king bed and a cot for our kid. The may offer 2queen beds not sure.
Ed... if you are still out there I commented on your and your wife's jacuzzi video. I have the Suite, Jetted Tub, Ocean View B2C-US. how do I find out what room # I have? ... Cancel that. I just spoke with an assistant and they told me the room number is provided upon check-in.

Yes. We’re going on April. I just think it’s a little silly, do people really honor this? Cuz I would definitely just move an unattended towel lol. I haven’t been to Cancun in over 10 year’s so am looking forward to visiting but I don’t remember this being a “thing”.

Have anyone been there recently. Want to know if they have seaweed problem at the Paradisus Cancun
This video was in May 2018. First time we ever seen seaweed in Cancun. Been 4 times. It was crazy and it was all the way up the hotel zone.
Mike Ta I was just there this Labor Day weekend. Seaweed is everywhere on that coast but I will say they do a great job cleaning up what they can with the tractor looking trucks. This place won me over. Also, the pool areas are amazing if you want to swim often.

im booked for January with me and my BF (2 adults), i did not book royal service, can we still use the adult only amenities?
You can't go to tower 5 that's all. But if they offer a free upgrade a good price to upgrade do it. It's adults only there and it's amazing

Nevermind I just saw there is one for 18+. So the only thing we’d not be able to access is the pool and 2 restaurants?
@@kristinahess3713 when we booked we had the family package which included royal service. It's like a few pass to the whole place. If it's not to much more $ upgrade to royal service. You get a Butler who books all your restaurants and gives you access to tower 5 where all the tip shelf liquor is and better food. And also the pool with the outside restaurants which are very good. Upgrade royal service $250 per person ??
It was $250 total. I booked thru Cheap Carribean and when I saw the prices dropped I called them to upgrade. It cost me $250 total for a family of 3. Best thing we did. Especially hanging out in the adults only section with top shelf drinks.
We just watched your video, my 10x to cancun and I've stayed at other resorts and was looking to stay at a different one this time, we've done iberostar, done Occidental Cancun, done the Marriott, and may give this a shot, we wanted to know if the adult tower had a swim up bar as it only seems the main pool has the swim up bar? We've always booked thru cheapcarribean.com and have never been disappointed
Matt, the adults side did not have a swim up bar. Overall the resort is very nice and tower 5 has a great bar inside for adults only. We are actually leaving next Friday and staying at the Riu Palace Penisula and are super excited. @@bschmitke Royal Service is amazing. Make sure to eat lunch outside at Royal Service as it's much better than the buffet in hotel. They also have all top shelf liquor inside. You will have a blast.
